BimmerTech gave me great service. I set out to make my car new again. I’ve had the CarPlay MMI Prime installed and am happy with the aftermarket functionality. It does take some getting used to the controls. That said I really enjoy essentially having my iPhone functionality in my car. What a terrific upgrade!

Installation was very easy. My order arrived quickly in the mail. The online account was easy to navigate to make my order and then track my order.

I bought the MMI Prime, Trim Kit and DIY tools from BimmerTech 2 months ago. Really impresses with the packaging and quality of the products. The MMI is feature rich and I may never go back to my standard BMW stereo interface again. The DIY kit tools were of such high quality, I have added them to my regular automotive toolkit. Super nice, very responsive folks at BimmerTech.

I am very happy with the outstanding pre-sales, product knowledge and installation support BimmerTech provided which now allows me the full use of my 2019 530e’s display with Apple CarPlay. Through the cable BimmerTech provided and the scheduled coding session with BimmerTech's representative, my car is now even more enjoyable to drive and the Apple CarPlay integration is much more useful.

The process was easy and just as described in the instructions they sent me when my coding session was scheduled (at a very convenient time for me). You simply download and install a couple applications to a windows laptop, connect the cables as directed, ensure you have a good internet connection and have a "chat" session on your phone with the BimmerTech technician during the coding session, which lasted less than 30 minutes. Admittedly, initially I was reluctant to do a coding session and plug my laptop into my car, but BimmerTech set me at ease and now I am so very glad I did, and thankful the BimmerTech team is helping all of us BMW owners realize the true tech capabilities of our “ultimate driving machines.”

This was my second coding session with bimmertech. They were professional, courteous and timely. They reach out for feedback after and fix any issue with the quickness I fully recommend this service to all bimmer drivers.

I own a 2022 Mini Cooper Clubman, however, due to the chip shortage I was unable to get the Harmon Kardon stereo with it, and was stuck with the base stereo. I bought the complete speaker kit and amp available for my vehicle. I did have to purchase new a-pillars direct from BMW that have the tweeter speaker mount that would have been standard for the Harmon Kardon option; BimmerTech provided the part numbers. I decided to have the work done by a preferred installer. I called BimmerTech to make sure that I had everything I needed for the install. They were very friendly and helpful. BimmerTech even contacted the installer before my arrival to make sure the installer didn't have any issues or questions about my install. The installer also tuned the system with BimmerTech remotely. After the install, the car looks as pristine as it was when I brought it in. The only difference is now it sounds great!!

We needed to get a new key fob for our BMW. When looking at options, and without knowing exactly what was required, we contacted BimmerTech to get those answers. They quickly responded with the requirements and instructions not to place the order until we had the required documentation as BMW would not process the order; it was refreshing to get up front and honest information BEFORE the sale. Once we obtained the documentation, we submitted our order and followed the very clear instructions which followed both online and via eMail to submit the required documentation. The next business day, the documents were verified and the order was processed. We received our tracking number in short order but we weren't quite sure how to interpret it; come to find out the shipping number follows the key fobs from BMW to the BimmerTech fulfillment center to the customer. After a quick online chat with the BimmerTech rep, the process was made clear and we received our key fobs in due course.

The process couldn't have been smoother and the the quick communication / support provided by BimmerTech made all the difference in the world!!

Purchased a CarPlay retrofit for my 2016 BMW 650i Gran Coupe because BMW disabled the connected app on all models pre-2017.

Was very pleased with the purchase - I had an authorized dealer install and here are the key things of why it’s so great… you just hold down the menu button to switch between the factory and the CarPlay screens. It works off Bluetooth so unlike my CarPlay on one of my other cars you don’t have to connect via cord every time to get it to work (they did leave a usb input if this is desired)

The navigation is great being able to use my phone once again to instantly see directions on the screen. The interface with the idrive pad isn’t too hard to figure out how to navigate screens and buttons and the screen mirroring is great because now I can display anything on my phone on the screen (pictures, Netflix, movies, internet, etc)

Definitely would recommend to anyone who doesn’t have CarPlay bmw.

The technician unlocked my SiriusXM in about 15 minutes. There was an issue and couldn't access it but BimmerTech was very quick to get it fixed and it works great.

The BimmerTech MMI Prime is overall a great product! I did knock a star off because of my experience with both installation and connection to Android Auto with an older Android phone, as well as an apparent known issue with the front view camera. I have this installed on my 2014 BMW 335i M Sport xDrive, Manual Transmission, with navigation and Harman/Kardon surround system.

Installation:
MMI Prime Instructions provided and indicated on the YouTube video were for the smaller head unit. I needed to ask for a different set of instructions for my larger head unit, as well as an alternative location for the MMI unit.
Front View Camera instructions and YouTube video were for a standard bumper. I have the M Sport bumper, so an alternative location was needed.

Compatibility with Android Phones:
I have an older Samsung Note 9 with Android 10. Connection to the interface was not consistent and often drops. Luckily, I have a newer work phone: a Samsung Galaxy S22 with Android 12. It works more consistently with this new model phone and the sound is much better. List of compatible phones on the product site should not include the older phones because of this.

Front View Camera operation with Android Auto:
There is a known issue, not indicated in the product site. The front view camera does not activate, when Android Auto is operational. The screen is black, after shifting out of Reverse. You would have to manually activate the camera.
Only works with the factory system, IF Android Auto is not active.

Customer Service:
This I am VERY IMPRESSED with! Both Mikolaj and Patryk are very responsive! Patryk helped during the installation. And Mikolaj has been very helpful working through operational issues. He assured me that he would keep me posted on the software upgrade that will include the fix for the front view camera issue.

Ordered new key fob after the BMW I purchased only had 1. The dealer wanted twice as much for the exact same key. If you happen to find a your perfect BMW and the dealer only has one key do yourself a favor, use that as a negotiating tactic and purchase the additional FOB from bimmertech at a much cheaper price!

GREAT experience!! I bought the Alpha One amp for my 2019 M240i convertible, and the sound quality difference is AMAZING!! Though I plan to upgrade my speakers in the future, the amp brought the current HK speakers to life!!! I must also admit that I originally purchased an amp from " the other guys " and was very disappointed with the sound/tune for my vehicle, with no way to adjust or correct. Returned it and purchased the Alpha One and could not be happier!! Great power with full access to the DSP for tuning!! It sounded so good out of the box, that I honestly have felt no immediate need to adjust though! If you are on the fence, pull the trigger! You will not be disappointed!

I really enjoy the MMI prime,  its a real refreasher for my M4.  As it ages BMW is known for turning off features that the MMI prime replaces as standard.  I had a bit of a issue updating it recently,  But Bimmertechs support team was there to guide me through the troubleshooting, and discovered it was my USB that was the problem.  I highly recommend bimmertech products.

Used BimmerTech to update the maps in my 2014 i3 REx. Very easy to do, thorough & easy-to-follow instructions, fast service, and reasonable price. Plan to use them for future updates as well. Highly recommended.

I wen to BimmerTech to put Apple CarPlay into my M2. I had a few difficulties in installing the software as I was using a Mac, but the customer support help I was provided was swift and useful. The product and use of it in the car is outstanding. It has made what was a clunky Bluetooth set up, a seamless interface. I highly recommend BimmerTech for solutions that work and for their proactive follow up customer care and support.

All went well with the upgrade and support was excellent for the coding process. Only snag I had was in scheduling, which got sorted out easily enough. And most importantly, the upgrade works perfectly just as advertised!

My local dealer was slow with the Navigation update so I bought the Bimmetech navigation map update for SEA region. I am pleased with the experience from the time I ordered to the receiving the product from Bimmertech. The update was smooth and I also managed to help from Bimmertech. My local dealer still have not gotten back to me until today.

The first module I received didn’t work on my G12. Customer/Technical Service worked with me through several troubleshooting steps. When those didn’t work, they promptly sent me a new module that worked perfectly with my application.

Poor customer service -purchased a key FOB -sent paperwork in several times-no communication at all. Waited over two weeks- told them either get the key on order or refund. Note sent they are doing a refund. Went locally-key on order same day no issues at all. Never again Very disappointed. Craig

Recently purchased a 2017 MINI Cooper Clubman and the Sirius / XM radio had never been activated. Rather than go to a dealer and possibly lose the use of my vehicle for several days, I contacted BimmerTech, made a remote coding appointment and had the radio activated on time and from the convenience of my own driveway. Service was great and price was much less than what a dealer would have charged. Highly recommend using BimmerTech for any coding needs !!
