The night tour was amazing, thanks to Tom that makes the cold weather be a warm tour.

We rode several different buses before any of the agents bothered to scan our tickets. We had just spent $138 at White Gifts, and went back to catch the next the bus when they finally scanned our tickets and gave us a coupon for 10% off at that same store. too late and this was 1pm, we boarded the first bus at 9 am. The buses were supposed to run till 5 or 5:30 and we were at Arlington only 10 min when told the last bus was coming there at 4:20. We couldn't see Arlington with only 10 min till the last bus. Some of the attendants at the stops were very helpful, and others, like the gal at the Willard hotel, could care less if they have a job. We got stranded at the Washington monument because the buses quit coming. This was well before 5 pm. Rode all 3 lines/colors. One of the buses on the yellow line the door has a big gap when it closes and the windows shake open as you ride down the road. Very chilly and not what we expected. The red and blue line buses were much better. The live narration should just stick to the facts and not share personal political opinions or personal opinions in general. Like telling us if slavery hadn't ended he wouldn't be getting paid for doing this. I got the impression most of the employees make minimal wages and really don't care if they have that job or not. The buses do stop where advertised, and you can see all the monuments. Just be ready for possible apathy and disorganization.

My husband and I bought the 48 hour pass recently. It was the perfect option for seeing much of DC, learning A LOT bout the sites, their histories, and fun facts. The hop-on and -off options saved us from having to stress over the metro for sight seeing. Each tour guide we had was great. They knew much about the history of DC, but also the kinds of things that are helpful for tourists to know: where to eat, the best times for visiting places, and other tidbits about navigating the city. This was money well spent!

Night DC tour was beautiful, wonderful to see DC in lights. Friendly staff and did a great job.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The seats were comfortable. It was an enjoyable experience.

My 7 year old son and I took this tour in DC. It was an awesome experience and a great way to see many of the monuments and landmarks in the city! The staff was excellent and friendly. They gave recommendations on places to eat and other things. I would have given this experience 5 stars but the only thing I didnt care for was that there wasnt a set schedule as to when the bus would get to a stop. So if you got off and back on again you wouldn't know what time to expect the bus. You just had to wait any where from 0-30. I just would have preferred to know how long we had to wait. Otherwise I would highly recommend this tour and would use it again!

Bought the 48 hour package. The night tour and Madame Tussaud's alone were worth the price. Then you still get 2 days of bus rides! We thoroughly enjoyed the live guides with lots of information in a light hearted manner. Thanks Big Bus!

The bus can be in better conditions. , in some cases, they are very old.

We had such a great experience using BBT on our trip to DC. So much so we added and extra day. We originally booked the two day dlx tour but added an extra day because it was a great way to get around town and see everything. I would strongly recommend doing the yellow tour in the morning if you would like to spend any time in Georgetown. If taking the evening tour dress warmly. We traveled right after the election and it was cold as soon as the sun went down.
There were protests going on while we were there and the crew were quick thinkers and they were able to change our route a little to avoid the protesters

Bought tickets in advance, online. Was directed from bus to clerk in office. She had to use a Walkie Talkie to get a code to confirm my tickets. Process took 10-15 minutes. It would have been quicker to just buy them onsite. Once on the bus we were not given any directions. Guests around us told us about the headphones. We missed commentary on a couple of monuments. Neither organized nor focused on their customers.

We liked the different loops and were able to get around quite easily. The headsets were a hit with our kids. My only complaint if any, was the ticketing system. A card or something would have been easier to manage than the little receipts for two days. An app showing what time the bus would arrive at a given stop would be very helpful. We would arrive at a stop and not know if it would be there in 5 or 30 minutes and that can make a huge difference!

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. The bus tour guides were informative and entertaining. We especially enjoyed the night tour with Adam. He was fun and did a great job of walking us around the Lincoln Memorial, the Vietnam and the Korean War Memorials. We highly recommend the Big Bus tours and will definitely do this again if we should go back to Washington DC in the future.

Good way to explore the city

Customer service was excellent. Our drivers and guides were polite, knowledgeable and friendly. My favorite was the night tour.

Two things that they need to improve is add time to next bus to the app. Due to traffic etc, it is hard to gauge when the next bus is going to arrive.
The night tour is very good. Should note that they will spend 30 minutes at the Lincoln Memorial during the night tour. Would not have gone during the day had I known.

Purchased this tour because it INCLUDED the National Cathedral (green line). Stood @ stop 40 minutes. NO BUS. Called #, put on hold for 20 min. FINALLY, man on the phone said, "sorry, the green line stopped running last week...." - DESPITE my DIRECT questions on Nov 5 when I purchased the tickets. The Old Towne Trolley Co came by a few minutes later and GRACIOUSLY offered us a FREE ride to the Cathedral and we paid for a city bus/metro back.
Buses were LATE, Commentary was poor/minimal/crude.

We used this tour company in Washington DC and LOVED our experience. The tour guides were full of personality and very helpful. They had reliable buses and loved the headphones! The buses run every 15-20 minutes and are usually always on time. This tour is hop on and off which allows u to explore on your own time. Please do a night tour of you get the chance. Can't wait to use this company in another city !

We used the Big Bus for 4 days. Will use them again. The yellow paper showing it is a yellow route should be a lot bigger, due to a lot of people having to ask the driver which color the route is. It also caused problems with people having to get back off when finding it was the wrong color route. All workers were very friendly, except one driver who was rude. Peachy on the night tour was outstanding, he went above and beyond to make it very interesting. The small signs at each stop needs to be bigger.

The worst:
I bought a boat trip as it was announced at the web page but we had non.
A bus was broken as we were told, so we were more than 30 min waiting for the next one, getting frozen.
The blue bus had no auditive equipment so there was no translation from English to any other language.

The best of all:
Adam was a great guide. If he did not had the answer to a question, he would look for it.

Every time throughout the day, the buses were FULL. Several times we had to wait an additional 20-30 mins for the next bus. We were never able to get a seat on the top deck. BigBus needs to add more buses especially on the weekends.
