I ordered a lamp from this website
The lamp came broken and price vs quality is not worth it, so I asked for a refund.
Seller did not respond so I opened a paypal dispute.
They asked me to return the item at my own cost to get my refund, even though the seller will be refunded in full by the carrier.
The other option was to close the paypal case and they will refund me immediately without having to return the broken case.
Reading through the reviews I can see a lot of people that had issues with refunds and returns. What they claimed is that these reviews are fake.
It is a shame that I can’t add the screen grabs with their conversations, to show this is not a fake review.
Very disappointing , they will get the refund in full from the carrier and yet they require the item back at my own cost.
All because I opened a paypal case.
Customer service should not have these ego problems. I am decorating my house at the moment and was planing to purchase other item from this website, if this order is ok.
They lost another customer. I will stick with Amara and Dotmaison.
I had issue with a broken item from Amara, send them the images they refunded me on the same day. That is how you keep customers loyal to your brand, not by making their life more difficult.
As an update: the information I provided is accurate and based on my experience, and similar experience is visible in other reviews. The company should not try and accuse customer of inaccurate reviews, they need to be more professional.
Asking me to close my paypal case to refund me without returning the item is not a good practice, as paypal advised. If paypal case was close I would have had a broken item and no money

The items on the website are selling much cheaper than on other places, however the delivery time may be quite long if the item is not in stock and you have to pre-order. they answer your queries very quickly if you email them or use the webchat.

I purchased 2 beautiful sets of tables earlier this year, one of which was chipped; I contacted Beaumonde within the given timeframe, sent photographs (difficult as the surface is reflective and therefore not accurately showing the chip). Without advising or discussing with me, they sent a "corrective pen" which quite frankly was useless as the table is chipped and not quite sure what the pen was supposed to do.
Beaumonde had also communicated to say they would contact the manufacturer but failed on numerous occasions to let me know what the result of this was (clearly they didnt contact the manufacturer), we also had a number of emails back and forth about returning the product which became boring and pointless (all to do with original packaging for all of the item that a member of the team had communicated earlier to say packaging for the tray).
I have accepted a 10% discount to keep the item because quite frankly I haven't got the time or the energy to deal with a company who I've had to chase to respond to my emails, don't do what they say they will do, send a pointless "pen" to sort a chip in the product - clearly Beaumonde don't care about the customer.
A representative from the company will probably respond to this (if they can be bothered) to make this review look less important and how they acted accordingly as the matter is now resolved - its resolved only because I couldn't continue with it any longer.
I am one very unhappy and dissatisfied customer and will never shop with Beaumonde again.

Order not received!
I would have given a zero star if it was an option. I placed an order for the Luna chair on 05/02/2023. The item showed as 'available for delivery' on the website when the order was placed. However, I am yet to receive my order or a valid explanation for why I do not have a delivery date, 60 days later and counting.
I take no pleasure in giving a negative review but Beaumonde is not a reputable company and, I hope by sharing my experience, others will think hard before spending any significant amount of money with the company.

I have used Beaumonde a few times now and never had any issues. Just bought the Libra Christopher wall clock, a great product, cheap price, and arrived when they said it would. Again, can't fault the company at all. 5 star for me.

I find it incredible that after nearly 2 years you are responding to my review!! As I have reiterated on numerous occasions the item was returned to the exact address specified by Amazon and at cost to ourselves and yet you still chose to disregard this fact and continue to lay the blame on me as the customer. No understanding at all from yourselves over the weeks that we tried to resolve the issue. You are now again asking for the item to be returned!! It was returned nearly 2 years ago so I will state again a word of advice to any potential customers…in my opinion do not order from this company.
I see in your response that you wish to resolve the issue. I am interested to find out how you will do this…you ask for the item to be returned and I will say again the item was returned to the address specified. We tracked the item at expense to us and saw that it had been delivered. You, the company denied this and liaised with us in a very condescending manner despite us providing you with all the proof you needed. The only way that this can be resolved and for us to have any faith in your company would be for you to refund us for the item we returned but it seems from the reviews that this is a common experience for your customers. If you wish to resolve this then email me personally with the details that you have on file

DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS PLACE.
I placed an order with them on 31 Dec 2022. I received a notification/email 2 weeks later saying my order had been dispatched and had arrived. It was never shipped, nor delivered. Upon following up the dates they gave for ETA on delivery were unclear and they blamed it on the delivery being stuck at sea. Poor customer service. Poor communication. I have had to dispute this with my credit card company. Company very much seems like they're con artists - read other reviews and AVOID.

Purchased a basket for a child's room that had a note inside upon arrival saying do not leave unattended with children. And it was of poor quality. I of course requested a return - Beaumonde is trying to deny the return. They do not respond to emails unless chased several times. They are now saying they haven't received the return, even with the the tracking info indicating they have. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THEM.

No delivery
It says delivery 3-5 days. I am still waiting to receive my order. I emailed enquring why it had not arrived and I am still waiting for an answer.

Ordered a copper glass mirror from this company. It was at a great price and looks stunning. It was delivered within 3 days, well packaged. I can only say I have had a positive experience with the company and item is of excellent quality. Will be using again in the future.

Worst customer service ever. Beaumonde.co.uk have taken my money and refuse to give me a refund despite me returning an item I did not like over 10 weeks ago.
They have issued me store credit but there is nothing on the site I want, I have asked for my money back but they ignore all emails. Just an awful company.

I wish I had read the Trustpilot Reviews before I placed an order with Beaumonde. If you place an order with this company and it arrives 'not fit for purpose' or 'damaged' in anyway, then you are going to run in to great difficulties dealing with them. Everything is done via email i.e. there is no telephone support and if they claim in response to this review that there is, then they are simply not telling the truth and certainly won't be picking up the phone any time soon! Their customer service is the worse I have ever come across in my lifetime. Absolutely appalling in every sense of the word. If you send an email to their customer service support team (as they call it), then the standard reply you will get in the first instance from them will tell you everything you need to know about this company. Read it carefully. They are quite simply all over the place and it outlines exactly how evidently most customers feel about them as a company.
You will be made to wait extensive periods of time before you get a response (a number of weeks) with various different excuses for the extensive delays (just as I am sure you will read in their response to this!) and they will put many barriers up in order to delay everything further as much as possible.
There are other companies online who sell similar goods to Beaumonde, who's customer service is second to none. Don't make the mistake I did and order from them. You're likely to receive the item in either a damaged, faulty or not fit for purpose state and then have a REAL battle on your hands to get all of your money back.
However, most importantly, don't trust anything they say to do in their emails to you before you return an item. I am taking further action against them because I followed to the letter what they told me to do in order to return my faulty item (of which supposedly they also evidently fixed when they got it back and then made it out wasn't faulty!!) in an email they sent to me, only to then be told I should have only done exactly what it says in their Terms and Conditions. Yes, they are up to all sorts!
Luckily I have all the photographic and written evidence I need to make a claim against them to get all of my money back, just don't make the mistake I did and order from them in the first place!! I am sure they will claim that my review is "misleading" just as they have done with all the other negative reviews on here, but all you have to do is look at their TP Rating to see that whatever they say, customers generally are most dissatisfied with the service they have received from Beaumonde.
In RESPONSE to Beaumonde's reply below: They are now suggesting that it was a user issue!! Like I say, they are up to all sorts. No customer who isn't properly trained should be expected to make good an electrical item!
They also claim in their reply below that they are an 'internet only' company and therefore don't offer telephone support! (even though this is completely contradicted in another reply of theirs to a different review on here). I deal with many 'internet only' organisations who offer numerous telephone contacts for help and advice. It's just one excuse after another, in short they go out of their way to make it impossible for a customer with a problem but one thing is for sure, if they were as quick to respond to all their negative Trustpilot Reviews as they were to responding to customers complaints for sending out goods that simply aren't fit for purpose, they probably wouldn't be in the disarray that they are.
They have now refunded me part of the costs BUT held a staggering £43.25 back because the item wasn't returned in the original packaging (whatever next!), even though they didn't request this on return! Packaging that it couldn't be returned in because the box was so badly damaged on delivery!

Isosceles Silver and Brass Clock ordered never delivered emailed 3 times and almost a month later no response. Last email asked for refund not expecting any customer service don’t think it exists,
Additional notes delivery was never refused, we have a Ring door bell and have video evidence but this company were not interested.

Your website says free delivery over 70pounds - even for large/heavy items. I bought a piece of furniture for several hundred, but instead of choosing the free delivery option I chose to pay you 95 more for two-man delivery with quality inspection upon delivery. That service was not fulfilled by your courier, who only came with one person and did not stay to wait for my quality inspection despite my asking. And yet you will not refund the 95 delivery fee. I haven't had further response to this point in my support ticket. Are you not prepared to fulfil your free delivery promise then, if all I got was a standard delivery service which could have been free? You cannot say the size and weight cost is passed on to your customer, if you are prepared to offer free delivery above a certain amount, that's YOUR pricing model.
I ordered items online on the 28th November 2021 and a week later, I am yet to receive an update in regards to dispatch of the ordered items.
The company's response rate and time scales are atrocious. I sent an email to check the status of the order and the automated reply states that customer support response is typically within 5 working days.
Update: Finally received my order 2 weeks after placing the order. I really do not have the energy or time to go through the return of the order due to its late delivery (one imagines that will likely take 6 months).
Given my latest experience with the business, I will not be making any repeat purchase.

Really pleased with the service, was delivered the day after I ordered it. I Was given a time slot for delivery, which is always helpful. Delivered exactly when they said. Best of all my purchase was £15 less compared to other online retailers.

I bought a light with three pendants
Turns out to be three lights and as such needs 3 ceiling roses, a fact I missed when purchasing before Christmas. Largely misled by an image that gives the impression of it being a three ring light from one source.
The image on the box looks like a three pendant single source light too.
Cut to me finally being able to get an electrician to install during lockdown.
After realising it would cause terrible damage and cost to install addition ceiling roses I reached out to Beaumonde hoping to return.
There is no communication by phone.
Several emails later it transpires I’m out of their return time frame.
During the current situation
Most companies have extended a 28 day return period to two or in some cases three months.
Beaumonde have extended their return period from 14 days to 30 days.
They will not accept a return on the unused, perfectly sellable light fitting ( or should I say light fittings) even as a gesture of goodwill.
It’s a shame as I’m about to renovate and redesign a three story house and they have some interesting products.
*following my posting this review Beaumonde reached out with a solution. I’m to buy a ceiling rose that accommodates 3 fittings and have an electrician fit it.
Not sure why it was not suggested in the emailed conversation before I posted the review but have amended my review accordingly.

I was not aware of a telephone number and did not use it repeatedly.
I have been clear regarding the ‘extended’ return window.
Trust pilot have not removed my review because it’s not fraudulent.
