Ahhh I hate these glasses!
...they’re too nice!
I’m gonna have to buy a burner pair to wear around the kids.
I have to say, and please understand this comes from a person with a background of sky high autistically intensive focus on detail and design for work, these glasses are lovely. You can tell these are created with passion.
Every step of acquiring these glasses was effortless and happy.
In just a few days i had ordered the glasses to try, sent them back for lens fitting, and had them returned to me.
Love them.

Just what I was looking for
Just what I was looking for! Solid, very well-made glasses, with 'paddle' sides. IE, the side pieces don't go behind my ears but rather grasp my head above my ears. The actual frames are quite heavy and sit very comfortably on my nose, and no annoying little pads to irritate the sides of the bridge!

Fantastic service
Dealing with Jamie at Banton was great. I was a bit nervous about spending a bit more on a good pair of sunglasses but Jamie answered all my questions, a very friendly and helpful chap! The glasses fit well and are very comfortable to wear, definitely a step up from other cheaper pairs I’ve bought elsewhere in the past. Highly recommended and I thank them for all their hard work.

Have bought 5 frames and varifocal…
Have bought 5 frames and varifocal lenses now from Banton. I’m relatively new to wearing glasses and people always compliment on the frames and ask where they are from. Jamie has always been excellent. He helped me out massively when an optician messed up a prescription. Definitely recommend.

Great service
The whole process of getting spectacles from Banton frameworks was extremely straight forward. Jamie was very helpful and great to deal with.
The glasses arrived and are the best ones I have ever had, well made and very sturdy. They were also considerably less expensive than poorer quality ones from the local optician. I wish I had used them before and would recommend them to anyone.

The best glasses I have ever had!
I've had my 2 frames for a year now and still, every time I put them on I fall in love with them over again. They are beautiful. They feel great, look amazing, and the quality of the acetate and hinges and design is just awesome.
I'd been looking at the frames for a little while, along with plenty of highstreet ones and something kept drawing me back and in the end I had to at least give them a try. I chose the Linea C in midnight vertigo. The minute I opened the box I was just in love with them.
The second pair I got were the same design, Linea C but made from this amazing Rosso Red acetate; The colour is simply amazing, sometimes a dark brown, and sometimes a rich red, especially in sunlight. The depth of colour is just beautiful. I can't say this enough, but every time I wear them, it's just wonderful. I feel like I've chosen something really special that I know I'm going to enjoy for a long time.
Jamie has been a pleasure to communicate with. It's so refreshing to deal with someone who is also the maker and their whole approach to emailing & promotion has just the most perfect tone; engaging and informative, without ever seeming pushy. We've forgotten what service looks like!

Top Notch Customer Experience
Great customer experience. I tried on two frames using Banton Framework's try-it-on system. While I ultimately decided not to keep the frames, as they didn't suit my features, they were made of high quality, and the customer experience was top-notch. Jamie, the co-founder, was in regular communication throughout the process over email and even left a personalised note with the second pair that I tried on. All-in-all, the buying experience was very smooth and hassle-free, and I would recommend it.

Top products and great service
I have ordered both standard sunglasses and a pair with (free) prescription lens. I have to say the experience on both was outstanding .. particularly with the prescription lens with James contacting me and confirming the prescription I had sent … it was wrong ! … so top notch customer service and absolute premium products .. that you are also not going to be looking around on a sunny day and seeing everyone else wearing too ! … highly recommend

Wonderful frames and amazing personal service
Wonderful frames - the most comfortable I have ever had, and I have had a lot! - customer service is second to none. I damaged a pair of frames, and Jamie sorted out a repair and they were returned as new. I have recently persuaded my husband to order from Bantom frames and he’s delighted! I would highly recommend these wonderful handmade frames

Highest quality, brilliant designs…
Earlier this summer (2024) I received my fourth handmade Banton Frames.
I live in Canada and was a tiny bit worried about ordering frames and lenses from Scotland but the deep history of Scottish spectacles manufacturing coupled with the promise of customer service made the choice easier.
I loved my first frames so much I buy a pair a year.
The unique styles offered in what I consider small batch production means there is only one in your neighborhood if not your whole city. The frames are sturdy, hinges are strong and their lens partner is outstanding.
I love my Banton frames.

Believe the hype!
I've purchased 4 pairs of glasses from Banton Frameworks in the past 12 months, and will undoubtedly be buying more in the future. So far, I have a pair for watching tv, cinema, driving etc., one pair for close work, using a computer, and reading, and two pairs of prescription sunglasses.
In my opinion, the quality is unsurpassed - from design, the materials used, and the craftsmanship. The amount of compliments I get is testament to this.
I need a large frame, and even then I will invariably need some adjustments made to provide the perfect fit - Jamie & Lucy are always happy to oblige. It may take a little longer than taking frames back to a local optician due to the return process being done using Royal Mail, who can be unreliable at the best of times, but it's worth the small inconvenience when you receive the adjusted frames and the fit is absolutely spot-on. I will not trust anyone else to handle my Banton frames but Lucy & Jamie themselves, even when it comes to tightening the hinges, which can sometimes loosen over time.
And don't let the price put you off - I have a graveyard of designer frames, which for one reason or another, have been mothballed and are no longer used as they don't compare to the quality and robust feel of my Banton frames. The premium you pay is worth it.
And finally, I like to buy British and support domestic artisans, and so should you!

Just the best….
The frames are just fantastic and simply one of my all time better purchases. The number of complements I get about them from random strangers is unreal (and I promise I’m not making that up)!
