I cancelled my policy as you wanted to charge for an amendment but to cancel was free! It’s all a bit of a blur as I’d recently lost my daughter.
Fast forward almost a year and cutting a long story short, you apparently refunded, had it returned, didn’t contact me for correct bank details. I contacted you on 23 July which is when all this came to light. You took my bank details again for the refund which again didn’t happen. When I rang again on 11 August asking about my refund, i was informed you’d refunded. You’d refunded into the wrong account yet again. You had a digit wrong! I gave my bank details again and I am still awaiting a refund from a year ago.
From start to finish your service has been appalling. I was informed on my last call I would receive an email confirming my complaint. Once again, nothing received!

I wanted to update my medical details. When I first rang I was told that all advisors were busy and someone would ring me back in 24/48 hours, I was initially disappointed as I would not want to dicuss my medical history if I was in a public place. I rang back the next morning (Saturday)an advisor answered immediately and updated my medical history, the additional premium was very reasonable. All in all a satisfactory outcome. Thank you.

I missed a health condition on my policy when I realised my mistake I rang and spoke to a lovely helpful guy called Dali. He was so polite and helpful. Not only did he sort my policy out it came in at £10 cheaper, amazing service .very impressed with him and the company

Took out a multi-trip policy in Jan 26. I have a trip booked for Nov 26 but due to newly diagnosed medical issue needed to inform Avantigo . Called them at 3pm Wednesday and was told by the operator that I would get a callback. 4:07pm having not received a call I again called Avantigo. This time the operator told me that callback times were 24 - 48 hours. I told her that I did not consider that to be good customer service and asked to speak to someone quicker than that. She put me on hold whilst she found an advisor to speak to me and after a short wait told me that she had found an advisor who would call me when completing her current customer interaction.
It is now Saturday and still no callback so either I was lied to, or their systems don’t work.
What is also worrying is that their customer services and complaints email addresses are not operative. Have they ceased trading?
