Unprofessional Company
I came across a Leg Curl/Extension Machine on FB Marketplace at half its RRP, the link took you to Assassingoods.com.
The advertisement seemed to good to be true.
I asked a few questions regarding dimensions, weight stack and delivery period before agreeing to purchase in writing via their online chat service.
I asked which was the best way to complete the purchase (equipment in the cart, credit card details completed and ready to hit the confirm button) in which Michael, owner & director of the company, told me to hold off and request a quote so I could get the equipment on next day delivery.
At this point I was happy and I thought that I had reserved the equipment pending a delivery quote.
I waited the whole day, checking my emails constantly but the email never came through and no other communication via their chat service, which I kept active throughout.
The next morning, I got back in touch via their chat service in which they replied the quote was sent straight after I had confirmed I would purchase the equipment.
No such email was ever received, I have a full trail of all communication between myself and Michael.
This is the only email that's missing which is strange.
I was then told the quote would be sent through once Michael got back to the office. This was mid afternoon and I started to think something wasn't right.
An email then came through to say the machine was sold already to someone else.
The last response I got from Michael was "the quote was sent to your given email address at 14:01 yesterday, it could be that your email provider blocked or spammed our email"......every other email got through without any issue
I would not recommend this company to anyone after this experience.

Hi Derek,
As mentioned in our conversations I am sorry you missed out on our sale item.
After speaking on the chat (Wed 20th), you requested next-day pallet delivery which is not a standard option through our website, in order for us to offer next-day delivery a quote must be raised for us to manually offer the service, which I suggested you do. Once you raised the quote we updated it to include the next-day delivery and sent it back to you via the email given in the quote (Wed 20th @ 14:01). We received no bounce back from the email address and no further questions from you.
The following day (Thur 21st), unfortunately, I (Michael) was away from the office attending a funeral of a family member and so was working remotely in the morning. I replied to your question in the morning confirming that the quote was sent on Wednesday and that I could resend it as soon as I was back in the office, once I got back to the office, I went to resend the quote and found that the item had already been sold (late early Thurs morning 00:41, the time was not specifically mentioned) to which I informed you and apologized.
Unfortunately without a deposit or an order, we are not able to reserve items due to the nature of people backing out of orders.
I do not know exactly the reason you did not receive the email, potentially due to our chat service emails and our quote emails being sent through separate 3rd party plugins/apps, or the fact that the quote emails include a PDF quote which was blocked by your provider, but as we were not notified of an issue at our end we didn't contact you.
It is unfortunate that a failed email has led to you missing out on our deal and I hope you are able to find an alternative.
