I had the best imaginable experience with this company. They listened to what I needed (or thought I needed) showed me their extensive stock of beautiful, healthy plants, advised me and worked with me to get the absolute best result. They weren't in the least bit pushy, simply knowledgable and friendly and I left feeling like I had gotten expert advice, the best plants possible and a really, really good deal.

We've bought a few things from Ashridge over the years. Two years ago we bought 5 dahlias, one of which is a totally different variety to any we ordered. I know I should have written to the company when I noticed it, but by the time you've waited for your tubers to grow leaves planted them in the garden and then waited until they've flowered, it's sometimes hard in the middle of a busy life to remember exactly what you ordered. I have to say that when this particular dahlia flowered, I thought I must have had a mental aberration because i'd never in a pink fit choose the dahlia I now have in my garden, and about which I feel guilty every time I look at it with horror. And this Summer we had several lavender plants delivered from Ashridge. They looked yellow and sickly when they arrived, and we put this down to a lack of natural light. But months later they are still sickly, despite attention, watering, and nutrients. So all in all, not very impressed and I think we'll avoid Ashridge in future.

I bought the dorothy perkins roses(3) a while ago and waited until they were well and truly established, They are wonderful loads and loads of flowers. Cannot fault Ashridge for waiting patiently for a revue.

Ashridge supplied excellent plants. When one was unsatisfactory they sent a replacement without question.and it is growing well. They also provide useful monthly advice and tips on their website
Their communication is very good and I would have no hesitation in ordering from Ashridge in future.

Although technically by the time I realised my copper beech tree had died and it was outside the guarantee period Ashridge Nursery agreed to replace it because I had no way of knowing it was dead until it failed to show signs of life in the spring of 2023.
The replacement tree is growing well and full of life.

Three years on and we have watched the majority of the trees and shrubs bought from Ashridge die despite our caring for them and giving them all a good start. We put a couple of hundred hornbeam from another nursery and these have all done well. We chose native trees suited to our location in Lincolnshire.
We had unresponsive communication from this outfit and had to chase our order. When they eventually arrived as bare root stock, we could see evidence of fungal attack on the roots already. Nevertheless as we had bought several hundred pounds worth of stock and time was of the essence in terms of autum planting, we trusted in the reviews, reputation and longevity of the firm. We would never buy from Ashridge again and have since used a local firm where we can view the stock. If you are buying a few roses, I'm sure they are OK but don't plan a major landscaping project without visiting the nursery.
Please note after having had to chase up our order several times, we wouldn't put any faith in follow up promises subsequent to this review. Hopeless lack of customer service.

I bought some bare root roses. They were described as fragrant. I am absolutely delighted with them. They are a peach colour and smell divine. They are really flourishing.

Super quality plants. The bare root hedge trees all had strong roots and all took quickly. I also bought bare root roses which were also big and strong. Customer service has been extremely helpful too!

Excellent Company to deal with. Communication 5 star. Bought two bare-roots roses last year, arrived late autumn with well grown root systems. Have produced exception bushes and beautiful large blooms in this year, their first season.

We ordered a Little Sunset rose as a gift for our daughter. She had seen ours and really wanted one. We couldn’t find one anywhere but finally found that Ashridge Nurseries had it. We ordered it in the 18th June and it arrived on the 21st. It was incredibly well packaged and is the most gorgeous, healthy rose with loads of blooms to come. Absolutely delighted with the service 😊

So refreshing to deal with a company that really cares. Their customer service is second to none and I would not hesitate to use them again, safe in the knowledge that the customer really matters to them. Outstanding!

They did what they said they would do and with very fast delivery. Their web site was intuative to use. The plants are magnificent.

I have just received my first order from Ashridge Nurseries. I received a wonderful specimen of Lavandula angustifolia 'Rosea/Jean Davis'; it is absolutely lovely. It is a decent size and is currently in bud. I cannot wait to see it in full bloom. I am really impressed with Ashridge. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

They were wonderful about helping me with my order. When I ordered my plants, they kept me informed. Their customer service was great, I had a few days when I was away and they worked out my delivery so I'd be hope. My plants arrived in great shape.

Bought raspberry canes a few years back. They all looked very wet when they arrived but planted in prepared soil with 10 others bought from a local garden centre. The local garden centre ones grew into healthy plants which produced really good fruit. Unfortunately the Ashbridge ones (left the labels on them) all did nothing. Ashbridge asked me for photo's of the plants and soil after batch 1 and replaced them under the guarantee scheme (except for postage). I put the new ones in but this week went out to check on them. All the local garden centre plants have lots of new growth and are flourishing. The newer Ashbridge ones are all dead (the roots were non existent). Great customer service in replacing plants initially but unfortunately both sets of raspberry plants were very poor.

Outstanding service, I asked them to delay my order for personal reasons, this was not a problem. My plants arrived in excellent condition. They are all good examples, as described on tthe Ashridge web site

BEWARE! Charges are not transparent! I authorised payment for 3 items that included one delivery charge. They later told me they were splitting the packages and so would be charging me twice for delivery. Had they told me there would be two delivery charges from the outset i would never have ordered. They try to explain this after the event by saying its in their terms and conditions and they take a higher payment than they invoice you for. AVOID THIS COMPANY!
