Avoid ASDA gift cards they don't work !!
My wife was given a £40 ASDA gift card by a good friend. Last night tried to shop online made the order , entered the gift card details & bank details (as order was a little over the £40 ) thought was done but then got texts and emails claiming insufficient funds so went back an tried again ten minutes later same texts again , contacted customer service who advised to do it again an to check again after 5o'oclock we did still not sorted , contacted customer service again was told to try yet again which my wife did while still on the phone with them still didn't work these cards are a con , they do not work ! Disgusting that these cards are allowed to be sold when they are unredeemable Will be taking our custom elsewhere in future, absolutely astounding that a company like asda making millions in profits ever year still find it nessersary to rob customers with dodgy gift cards that can't be redeemed. Update 27/07/2026 good of you to reply (all be it a pretty generic response ) We have resolved this by using it instore Very inconvienient as store access locally is very poor and costs yet more money , but as I said before customer service (there is none very unhelpful ) were contacted twice but really could not be bothered to try to help resolve the issue combine that with poor store access an we will definately not be returning customers ,

This process with using a volunteer carer to use the gift card allows me to keep my sister who lives 200 miles away from and has full blown dementia live a relatively normal life

Great way to save up.
Easy to add amounts, even small amounts of a pound a time to save for Christmas, Just wish it could be used in the Asda cafe. Otherwise great way of saving.

Like the range and quality of the products. Webb site is difficult to use. Chosen products and quantities change if you go onto a product description or other area of website. End up with incorrect order. Constantly need to check order.
