ARGC was recommended to me after I had several failed IVF attempts at another clinic. I successfully had a baby in my first try at ARGC. The monitoring regime at the clinic is very intense, with blood tests every day or second day. This was critical for my success as it enabled problems to be identified and dealt with, whereas at another clinic they just tell you to take a pregnancy test after 2 weeks to see if things have worked. Perhaps because of all the monitoring, ARGC is much more expensive than a standard IVF clinic. They also sometimes suggest procedures which are not proven in a fertility context (such an immune testing and intralipid drip) but there is no hard sell - they just explain why they think it would be helpful and point you to the research so you can decide. The head of the clinic, Dr Taranissi, makes clinical decisions about what medication and tests people need rather than this being left to more junior doctors or nurses. Their results speak for themselves - despite lots of people going to them after failed IVF elsewhere they have fantastic success rates. The clinic is quite old school with big paper files full of incomprehensible doctor scrawls, and it's often very busy with the feeling of you being on a conveyer belt waiting to see very busy nurses and doctors. On one day I was told to come in at 8am but they couldn't actually see me until 10.30am because they were so busy - usually it is a lot faster though. It's not easy if you don't live in London because there are so many tests, and sometimes they will decide the day before that you need to come in the next day. So you'll need to save up annual leave and stay in an Air BnB. But overall I am so glad ARGC exists. I'm certain that without them we would not have been successful in having a family.

This is the best clinic with the best doctors. Highly recommended it for anyone going through infertility. They helped me have my babies after 15 years of TTC. All the best to all those trying.

At 40, with a diagnosis of low AMH, time was critical for me. I paid £50 to join ARGC’s two-month waiting list and over £200 for a consultation — which was with a nurse, not a fertility specialist or the doctor who would handle my treatment.
I spent hundreds more on extensive blood tests, which were supposed to form the basis of a personalised treatment plan. But once all results were submitted, I heard nothing back. I had to chase them myself, only to find out — through my own initiative — that I had already missed the treatment window for that month due to lack of communication. No one had explained the process or timeline.
By that point, I had lost 3–4 months and a lot of money, with no real progress or even a meeting with the doctor in charge of my care. I ultimately moved to another clinic, where I met my doctor and started treatment in the same month.
Sadly, my experience with ARGC was disorganised and impersonal — not what you expect when facing something as time-sensitive and emotionally charged as fertility treatment.

We went through two IVF cycles at ARGC. The first was tolerable. The second, however, was nothing short of disgraceful.
Despite paying enormous sums of money, the standard of care collapsed. ARGC is clearly prioritising profits over patient wellbeing. They’ve taken on far too many patients and no longer have the capacity or compassion to treat people with the care and dignity they deserve.
On our embryo transfer day, my wife was ordered to be at the clinic within 30 minutes or risk delaying the procedure to the following day "due to busy doctor schedules". She was then left in a surgical gown for over five hours, crying in a cold waiting room, with no support. Despite her distress being obvious, staff made empty promises and offered no real care. The treatment day became a chaotic, mismanaged ordeal - exactly what should be avoided during IVF.
Post-treatment, she experienced a medical emergency. ARGC’s response? They told her to go to A&E and then disappeared. No follow-up, no clinical oversight, no accountability.
Our follow-up call with Dr. Sapna - five weeks after the failed test - consisted of a brief apology for the chaos on transfer day, while insisting it had no impact on the outcome. This, despite her having previously stressed how vital it was for patients to remain calm and relaxed, and personally assuring us that she would handle the procedure carefully to avoid undue stress.
When we raised a formal complaint, ARGC’s response was dismissive and failed to engage with any of the serious concerns. No apology, no responsibility, and no offer of compensation - just a generic letter brushing everything under the carpet.
The reality is this: ARGC is overbooked, understaffed, and focused on making money - not patient care. I wouldn’t wish our experience on anyone. We are now escalating our complaints to the relevant authorities (HFEA and CQC), and we would strongly advise others who’ve suffered similar distress to do the same. Many fellow patients during our cycle openly expressed concern about the appalling service and shoddy facilities - this is not an isolated incident.

The nurses are also really kind and compassionate. My only flag would be I think the waiting room areas should be improved, and I also think that there should be signage that if there are no seats men/non-patients should leave and go and wait in the nearest coffee shop. As example after my egg retrieval there was nowhere for me to sit while I had to wait for my husband to finish his appointment.

After 2 losses at another clinic, my case was managed with care and expertise. There were many unexpected delays along the way due to my blood results however every problem had a solution. And when the time was right, my transfer worked and I now have an amazing toddler. I believe wholeheartedly in the method of ARGC and that is why I am returning for in June 2025 to do another transfer.

I first reached out to ARGC at a time when I was still quite naive about assisted fertility options. I hadn’t yet chosen a clinic and didn’t fully understand what criteria I should be using beyond success rates. My initial consultation call was an emotional one, given my personal circumstances. What stood out and ultimately made my decision clear was that the doctor called me back afterwards for a compassionate, informal one-on-one chat to check on me. I knew then that this was the right clinic for me.
ARGC isn’t the most polished or high-tech clinic, and the process is intense. I did experience the occasional off day with staff and some frustrating technical issues. But every time I walked through the door, I felt part of a community that genuinely wanted me to succeed. I was able to discuss protocol options that interested me, and these were always taken seriously. I received guidance on areas I could explore further, even those not yet standard practice under HFEA.
The conversations were consistently rooted in science, compassion, and a clear focus on outcomes. As someone over 40, facing significant health challenges and with limited resources, I honestly don't know if I could have had my baby anywhere else.
ARGC is not perfect, but for me, it’s wonderfully imperfect in all the right ways.

Zero care. kept pushing a menu of expensive add ons with no rational or ability to discuss with anyone. Not forthcoming in disclosing the costs associated with certain add ons - e.g where a course of treatment would be required rather than one off.
Very limited time with any doctors.
Called me at 6 am saying to come in for an embryo transfer at 8.30. Left me standing on the pavement for 40 minutes in the rain because the doorbell was broken.. Unacceptable facilities, changing in a staff change room.
Everyone too nervous and scared to actually raise the issues with the place. 4 weeks to wait for a follow up call post treatment. Felt like I had been scammed by the whole experience
