I was worried that reams of documentation would be required, like all the unnecessary papers insurance companies often require to make it difficult to make a claim. I was delighted that only the reasonably expected things were needed, and payment was super prompt, as in a few days.

The experience with Aon Travel was great in an assistant with the refund after illness, I really appreciate it. Everything that they did to help get the refund.

I had two claims, one for 2023 and one for 2025. Luckily I still had the paperwork for both of them. Although scanning into the system was tedious, the overall process was outstanding and the customer service was superb.

Filing and processing this claim couldn't have been much easier. The only part that was a bit difficult was understanding what was needed on the physician's statement. Some of the information was difficult to get due to this being an emergency medical issues involving several different medical personnel and tests. In the end though, the form was completed as best we could, signed off by our physician, and accepted by AON. Full re-imbursement for pre-paid travel expenses came within a few days.

We had to recently cancel a long planned trip just 5 months before we were to leave due to unexpected surgery.

AON was contacted regarding our cancellation penalty. They immediately provided me with the required form to be filled out by the surgeon.

I submitted the completed form and AON promptly refunded the cancellation fees for both myself and my wife.

I would highly recommend AON if you want peace of mind for your next trip.

Aon kept me updated on the status of my claim, they also informed me when additional information was needed.

My husband planned an anniversary trip to Alaska. I have a rare disease that affects mobility and several weeks before the trip I was having difficulty with standing. So I was unable to go with him. We tried to let my brother go in my stead. Now trying to get a real claims adjuster to speak with me seems impossible. They want docs that I have explained I can't get and they keep sending the same request. How many time does someone need to explain to a phone rep that this is not going to happen? I can't even find info on whom the VP of travel claims is.My stress of this whole process sends me into fits of crying. We have used travel insurance before and received refunds for this very reason, but this company...

I have been trying to get reimbursed for months for a trip cruise to the Mediterranean on WindStar. My flight on American Airlines from ORD to Barcelona was eventually canceled after 6 hours on the tarmac due to a defective part on the aircraft. AA provided me verification of the flight cancellation and stated that due to the flight cancellation 'Mr Hayes was unable to complete his trip". this was provided as well a proof of costs to AON. I have been waiting months and have sent several emails to the company. They then wanted proof from AA that the plane went out of service. That was included on the AA verification sent to them. If I don't receive a positive response from this company, perhaps you may tell me the address for their agent that accepts service of process.

02/05/2026- After filing a complaint, Aon sends a joke of an email saying they are sending me a check for $1800! What a rip off on a $5300 claim

It was a very organized and clear process and very helpful customer service , patient with my non stop questions.

The customer service was awesome. I could not have expected better.

Everyone I spoke to was nice, informative, responsive and empathetic to our health crisis that prevented us from going on our trip. The claim process was quick and easy and under the circumstances I really appreciated that. Not having to worry about our reimbursement while going through a devastating diagnosis was priceless. Well worth the cost.

I must say…. You all are phenomenal.. so happy we insured our cruise with you.. my wife came down with Vertigo and we couldn’t go(she ended up having it for 11 weeks!). Your claim process is awesome. After a 2-day departure delay of my cruise due to a hurricane I submitted additional expenses and received the insurance payment within a couple of days. That was unexpected! Great service. Thank you AON.

Outside of obtaining the signed document from the doctor, the process to submit and receive approval was very smooth and timely.
