AmRide is terrible. Usually do not leave reviews. They are unreliable.
Very good at giving quick rate quotes and on phone, prior to charging your credit card.
After card is charged, that's where the "ghosting" begins on phone and email. When driver does not show up, office says, that "driver" should have shown up. When they check into "issue" they will blame driver. When you have driver's cell, driver will say, never got info and know nothing about the proposed "ride".
Bottom line is you can be STRANDED. Try and have a backup plan. Never rely on AmRide in a critical situation. They can make up any excuse.
After reviewing (which I should have done beforehand), they have 80% poor reviews and some are down right, scary. Do not rely on AmRite website, that will only show positive reviews.
Believe their business model is to offer rides and take credit card payments right away on phone. For them, if driver never shows, they may in some cases, credit a refund. However they are never out any money, since they do not pay the driver. You, on other hand, will be out your cost to make alternative plans, at last minute.
Truly believe multiple State's Attorney General's should do a deep investigation, as to how many times (%) rides are booked and paid for, and NOT provided. Surely this company must know their poor performance and large problems they cause customers.
Stranded and dissatisfied. For sure be aware, it can cost you in long run so many ways. They HIDE behind email after they non perform.
Disreputable
They refused service because I said I have anxiety and left me hanging on the close of my house with the new people moving in. Then they charged me full 3k for not giving a ride. Then credit card resolved it thankfully then they did it again! Unbelievable terrible company. Avoid

Ask for a contract to be emailed before you give them any money. Nothing was conveyed about cancellation and I am still fighting a $1,000 bill for a ride I did not take but tried to cancel multiple times via phone and did cancel via text more than 30 minutes before the driver showed up at the pick-up location.

Driver who finally arrived was a disaster!
Either on drugs or with a mental health problem.
Vehicle looked as if driver was living in the car and had minimal space for luggage
We refused to get into the car and had to make other travel arrangements
Bottom line is that this company is poorly vetting its drivers

A REAL SCAM!
They were to provide a ride from my home to a hospital for a surgery. The ride was scheduled for 4:00 AM 11/21/24. At approximately 5:30 PM 11/20/24 they sent a text informing me that the ride had been cancelled. There has been no explanation offered or any other communication from them since then, A REAL SCAM! Glad I paid with a credit card!
A scam
A scam, that I'm ashamed to say I fell for. Who know whether a driver would have ever shown up?
But, I needed to cancel the ride anyway and have had nothing but nonsense from the people who answer the phone. They owe me $1688.60.
I guess I'll fork out more money for a lawyer just to get some satisfaction.

They then canceled on me after my 400 payment, I have still yet to receive a refund. I specifically asked the representative was their drivers in my area before they too payment and he confirmed that there were drivers there. I do not recommend this service and advise others to be careful using it.
Unresponsive and unprofessional
Assigned driver never returned my call until I used another phone. Then claimed he cancelled weeks before. Representative Morgan also non-responsive. Unknown person from “dispatch” apparently preparing my refund.

The driver was great
The driver was great, professional and "human". The car was comfortable and had all the services i needed in order to be able to work while riding, including wifi.
End of the road
I have been a consistent customer of this service and have generally had very positive experiences. This most recent experience has made it clear this is no longer a service I can rely upon. I booked an airport pickup approximately 24 hours in advance of arrival. I received an immediate driver assignment and a status update that they were 40 minutes away and on the way. I called the driver immediately to let them know they were a day early from the booking. They seemed a little confused and said it was their first ride with Amride. I tried to contact customer service twice to make sure the confusion was cleared up and we were scheduled for the pickup the next morning. No response from customer service. The app still indicated the pickup was scheduled for the proper time with the same driver. I texted the driver in the morning to confirm pickup - he did not respond, but the app indicated he was 20 minutes away from the pickup location. I tried calling and my calls went directly to voice mail. The driver never showed to the destination for the confirmed appointment and never called, texted, or responded. I also looked up the main number for Amride and tried to talk to a representative. I was on hold for probably 40 minutes for "the next representative" and no one ever picked up. They said you could leave a message and they would call back - It's several hours later and still no response. I'm so disappointed and frustrated. That's the end of the road for me.

No one came at the pick up time. 45 minutes after her pick up time, I was sent a message that the ride was canceled. When I reached out to the driver, I was told he was given another drive across country and was unavailable. Clearly, they opted to go with the more expensive trip over the one for my mother, on Christmas day of all days!
My poor mother was sitting there with all of the gifts to bring to us and no one came to pick her up on Christmas and the company didn’t even have the consideration or decency to tell us they were canceling the trip the day before or even before her scheduled pick up, so we could make other arrangements. In a day where there are multiple options for professional drivers/service companies like this, definitely find another option. They are unprofessional, and their behavior is inexcusable.

I was hired for a Job
I was hired for a Job. Amride promised to pay a specific dollar amount for the job. 3 weeks after the job I was paid almost 40% less then promised. No response from the company to my complaint about it.
The worst
The worst. Took my money, never showed up. Been trying to get a refund for a month. They keep blaming me for not getting my money back because I filed a complaint with my bank. Filed a complaint with the New York and Florida attorney generals. This company is a total scam. They will steal your money.
Beware
By far the worst experience I've ever had with a company. Amride willingly took my deposit and then cancelled my ride later the same day due to the fact they could not find a driver. I have never received my deposit back and they continue to give me the runaround almost two months after my scheduled trip. They will not return my calls and no longer respond to my emails. Beware. This is a fraudulent company that is not concerned about the customer.

Ride scheudeled from Nashville to Chattanooga on Aug.30 for a 10am pick up. Called the driver the day before and asked her if she could possibly come a little early. No was her responce because she had to sleep. Ok see you at 10. Ten o'clock came and went no driver. Called office and received a call back two hours later. At 10;45 car arrived. No explination or apology. Never again.
