Very rude and condescending behavior
I was talking to a sales person to get quotes, he had very rude and condescending approach towards me. Shouldn't be in customer service business with this approach. Absolutely don't recommend! teach your employees about treating customer properly.
Poor timing, missing stuff
I had a very poor experience with this move as the movers were insensitive about the timings and how to deal with a single mother. They arrived at 6 pm for the move when they were actually booked for the morning. The rates were increased at the last moment stating that their inventory did not match the actual moving stuff. The move was extremely unorganized and was rushed. While booking with the token amount, I was told that I would pay the balance once I was completely satisfied with my move. However the movers denied to unload the stuff since the Zelle money transfer did not work at midnight. After a couple of days I figured out that some of my stuff was also missing and when I called to enquire about the same, they plainly denied the claim and hung off. Recommend single ladies to be aware of such movers.
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS
AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS! Zero stars. Do not recommend. American Dream Relocation informed me that a specific carrier would be handling our move. I had opted to NOT work with this company until they told me the exact moving company that would be handling my move. The operations manager informed me that because we had a large move, that we would not be sharing a truck and that we could expect our belongings to arrive within 1 business day. On the day of the move, three men in a Penske truck showed up and informed me that the move would not be completed for 3-4 business days. This practice is totally unacceptable. Also, the movers that showed up determined that we had several "bulky" items that would add $$$ (over $1,500) to the price of the move. American Dream Relocation started dodging my calls, no one would assist in rectifying the situation. I ended up having to cancel the move and am now proceeding with legal action to get my deposit back due to their shady business practices.

The move from hell!
If I could rate American Dream relocation a 0, I would! Before booking my cross country move, they called me multiple times a day trying to get my business. After I experienced the move from hell, I called and emailed them several times and I have yet to receive a call back. The company they contracted for my move was unprofessional, attempted to charge me for every single thing, failed to put my furniture back together, and left holes in my wall! The worst part of it all is they did not have a professional moving crew. They hired people off Craig’s list the same day!! I am livid that this company would place my family’s safety at risk by hiring random people and bringing them to my home! Please stay far away from this company!!!!
Scam!
Scam!! DO NOT USE THESE BROKERS! They have their employers leaving these reviews it seems. They do not tell you they will sell your move. They listed everything I asked them to move and I measured everything but standard boxes for them. The movers got to my house and said they had only allocated a little over 500 cubic ft for my move. I had no idea what that meant. I soon found out it was only enough space for about 20% of what I paid them to move. They then demanded another $2500 to get even that much on the truck. If I refused and they unloaded what they had pack, it was $250/hr and they would be slow. To explain how much they agreed to pick up in my quote with the items listed and what they did not - I rented a 15' Uhaul packed form floor to ceiling with boxes and a few pieces of furniture and moved into local storage. I then had to rent another 26" Penske truck to get the rest to my new location. After 2 weeks and many many calls, they finally delivered some of my things. Boxes were missing, boxes open and reaped with their tape, a restoration hardware table destroyed and several things broken.

WARNING: STAY AWAY
In my experience, this company was not supportive throughout the process. It took about a month to receive my belongings, and I had to initiate nearly every check-in myself. And yes, there were updates. A couple of times I was told they would call me the same day because they were “always in touch with the dispatcher,” but they did not follow through. I even have emails stating they could not reach the movers for days, which I found concerning.
Several statements made to me also did not match my records. For example, the Director of Operations has said I was requesting hourly or daily updates. However, my call logs, emails, and text messages show that my requests were far less frequent. When I asked for any evidence supporting that claim, none was provided.
On multiple occasions, employees told me they would call back with an update but did not do so until I followed up. In one instance, a representative raised their voice on the phone, then sent multiple text messages after I had specifically requested email communication. When I shared these concerns with the Director of Operations, I felt my experience was dismissed, even though he was not present for the call and the company does not have recorded phone lines.
Based on my interactions, I do not feel the company advocates for its customers and I would not recommend them.
Beware of Fraud and no willingness to communicate with customer
US Military moving small amount of items. Company quoted 1 bedroom sized load or 300 sqft, the truck arrives and the loading team tries to tell me that I have to pay another $1000 for them to load my items. The total they took was (being generous) 100sqft. Company will not return calls and when I have gotten someone on the phone, it mysteriously hangs up. Awful company, would not recommend. No concern for customer.
American Dream claims to be a premier…
American Dream claims to be a premier moving advisory service, dedicated to making your relocation experience smooth and stress-free. We had a terrible experience working with this company. In fact, our experience was exactly opposite to what they claim to be their specialty. We would strongly DISCOURAGE anyone planning to work with American Dreams for your relocation needs.
This company is not a professional moving company, instead they are just a broker and are completely dishonest, unprofessional and a scam. It all starts with a sales agent claiming to be a moving advisor that is very prompt in responding to your questions and will contact you almost every hour to have you sign the contract. Once the contract is signed and the deposit is paid, you will never hear from this person. They give you a low cost quote based on the list of items you provide, however; be very watchful on the cubic feet that they list in the contract as they intentionally low ball it to get you to sign the contract. The day of the move, a totally different contract carrier shows up with a truck and they immediately walk around the house and let you know that the cubic foot on the contract is very low. American Dreams moving advisor who estimated the cubic footage in the first place, will not pick up your phone and you are routed to their customer service agent who will let you know that you have to work directly with the contract carrier as they cannot help. The contract carrier will give you an estimate which is almost 4-5 times more than what American Dreams have quoted you. In our case the new estimate was around $20k on top of what we paid to American Dreams as a deposit. Unfortunately, we had no choice as our relocation timelines were constrained.
The contract carrier is also equally terrible to work with as they have you sign another contract for the new estimate on the spot and be very watchful of the terms and conditions. They put a future date as the "First Available Date" (not the day of the pickup) and in the fine print this company now has 10-21 business days to deliver your stuff. Also, once you sign the new contract, American Dreams pretty much washes their hands and claim that they are not responsible for the new contract. In our case we had to call and deal with the contract carrier multiple times directly.
The Customer Service at American Dreams is not good either. They simply tell you that they cannot help you since you signed a new contract with the carrier who picked up your stuff. Once the contract carrier shows up at your delivery address, they insist that you have to pay them the entire balance amount before they will start unloading your stuff pretty much holding you hostage. You don't even get a chance to confirm that they delivered everything they picked up. In our case, they missed delivering stuff, most of our furniture was scratched and damaged, the boxes that we packed seemed like they were tossed around multiple times and were in a very bad shape. They even managed to deliver wrong boxes that did not belong to us. We are missing power cables, washer/dryer hookups, TV stands etc. that the movers packed. Now we are dealing with filing claims with yet another third party.
Overall, we had a horrible experience working with American Dreams who we thought was a professional moving company that made our relocation stress free. We will never work with this company every again and will not refer them to any of our friends either.
American Dream was dishonest and scared us on the quote and fused to give our deposit back
A price for the move was quoted at $8,800 with a semi truck for our move. The day of the move the contract carrier showed up 4 hours late with a pick up truck and trailer. He immediatedly reviewd the household goods , much of what was already pre positioned in the driveway. He then gave us a new estimate of $30,000.00. What a scam. We were smart enough not to sign the new estimate and would not let them load anything as once my property was loaded they coild have held it hostage until we paid the outrageous new fee. . Now American Dream refuses to talk to us about refunding our $3,000.00 plus deposit. What a scam!

Scam
Deceptive,Total Scam – BEWARE of American Dream Relocations and Ship4U Transport
Our recent move from Wisconsin to Ohio with American Dream Relocations was an absolute nightmare, and I feel compelled to warn others. Fred, our initial contact, came across as polite, professional, and even offered a discount, making the company seem very reliable. He confirmed — twice — that a 533 cuft truck would be sufficient after reviewing a detailed list of our household items. Based on that, we agreed to a total cost of $2400, with $1049 paid upfront and the balance due at delivery.
Come moving day, things unraveled fast. A different company, Ship4U Transport, showed up with three movers — not American Dream as expected. We were surprised but went along, assuming it was a subcontractor. These movers immediately told us our belongings exceeded the 533 cuft capacity — despite it being confirmed twice earlier. We tried to reach Fred, but he was nowhere to be found. Eventually, a woman from the company answered after several tries and said she’d review videos being sent by the movers to “verify the volume.” Looking back, this was clearly part of a scripted bait-and-switch.
We were told the truck was full and our actual volume exceeded what we were sold. Their "solution"? Pay an additional $1600, bringing the total to $4000, for them to carry everything. We reluctantly agreed — to save ourselves from the hassle of renting a U-Haul and moving the rest ourselves.
But it got worse. They now asked for another $2000 upfront, claiming the previous $1049 was only for booking with American Dream, and not part of this $4000 total. By then the truck was already packed with our belongings — we had no choice but to pay. Classic extortion tactic.
Delivery took 5 days. We later discovered that our stuff sat in a storage unit in Wisconsin before being picked up again by a third-party transporter in a Penske truck (they had nothing to do with the Penske company we learnt) The entire operation was a relay scam.
In hindsight, it’s clear: Fred, American Dream Relocations, and Ship4U Transport are all part of a bait-and-switch scheme. They offer a low quote, confirm details repeatedly, and then hit you with surprise charges when you’re most vulnerable — with your belongings held hostage.
Do NOT trust the quote or “binding estimate” they provide. It is NOT what you’ll pay.
Avoid this company at all costs. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Do NOT work with American Dream…
Do NOT work with American Dream Relocation- this was the worst moving experience I’ve had.
I originally booked with Fred Valitti at American Dream Relocation to coordinate a move from AL to NY. He assured me my belongings would be picked up 6/18 and delivered within 3–5 business days. I was explicitly told that although the movers might give a longer window, “anything I say supersedes the contract,” and that my delivery would arrive no later than Monday, 6/23. I emphasized timing was essential, as I needed my belongings for a new job. I stated clearly that if my items couldn’t arrive in that window, I did not want to make this transaction.
On pickup day, the movers from the contracted moving company Unlimited Moving & Storage gave me a delivery window of up to 24 days. I called Fred and he again reassured me and the movers that my belongings would arrive by 6/23. The movers even confirmed that 6/24 would be the latest possible delivery date, and I accepted that. They loaded my belongings and said they were heading straight to NY. I was told I would be updated with their progress (and that I should call them if I haven’t heard from them). Fred also said I would hear from his customer service team. I received no contact at all.
By 6/22, I hadn’t received any updates. I contacted the movers and Fred—no response. When I finally reached the movers on 6/23, he told me they were still in Georgia, waiting on “more jobs.” They had barely even left the state (and they were 1 day away from my expected delivery date). I called customer service and Fred again, who said he would get back to me, then ghosted me entirely. At this point, I had been lied to multiple times.
On 6/25, I spoke with Richard Pryce, a customer service supervisor, who told me my belongings were inexplicably in a warehouse in Colorado with no scheduled delivery date. I asked for clarification, thinking there must be a mix-up, as
Colorado is nowhere near the expected delivery route, and he rudely accused me of “interrogating” him. Meanwhile, my mover texted to say they would deliver on 6/27 between 8am-12pm. At this point, I was so desperate for my stuff, I chose to believe the driver over the chaotic and contradictory customer service.
On the morning of expected delivery 6/27, instead of the expected movers (Reshard and Fernando), I got a call from 2 RANDOM movers—saying they would arrive at 6pm, not 12pm (despite confirmation 1 day prior). We rescheduled for the next morning and per their request, they gave me a delivery time of 6am at the latest. They arrived over an hour late. I was upset, but was relieved to see my belongings—until I saw the damage.
Damages and Missing Items:
• Brand new mattress was ripped
• Laundry basket was cracked
• Cat tower and lamp were bent in half
• Box labeled “fragile” was delivered upside down, with shattered glass
• They had written with red sharpie on my pillows
• My litter box arrived cracked with missing pieces
• They tried to deliver a desk that wasn’t mine, proving they had no reliable tracking or labeling system.
• 2 boxes never arrived. The mover admitted to breaking the dinner plates in one of the fragile boxes during a transfer and chose not to load it onto the truck—and never told me until I noticed and asked. These items are STILL missing.
On arrival, they didn’t confirm the inventory of 42 boxes they picked up (I counted 40 on delivery and told them this). Upon mentioning that I felt uncomfortable paying the remaining fee (they make you Zelle them on pickup/delivery) for this delivery, knowing that my stuff is late, damaged and missing, they refused to unload my items until I paid. I felt coerced and like my belongings were being held hostage. The labeling system was a joke, and their handling of fragile items was careless.
After delivery, I emailed customer service and received no response. I called customer service and contacts I have at both Unlimited Moving & Storage and American Dream Relocation, no reply. I finally made contact and was connected to Anthony Moretti the Operations Manager who promised to call me back with an update- he neither called nor answered my calls. I sent a follow up email 1 week later without response. This service was not what was advertised or what I was promised (which is the timely delivery of ALL my items, in undamaged condition). My delivery occurred 3 weeks ago, and I still haven’t heard from anyone re: my missing boxes. I paid nearly $2,000 for this terrible experience, and received lies, delays, and damage.

100% a broker scam
They will pass off your move to another mover immediately, and then completely ghost you. The mover got to me and said the actual cost was 3x what ADR told me. ADR eventually began blocking mine and my wife's phone calls and hasn't been reachable since. Then the mover they brokered the moved to damaged 70% of my belongings. Educate yourself on moving companies vs moving brokers. Don't try saving money on a move, you'll end up paying for it later.

Complete bait and switch scam artisit
Complete bait and switch scam artisit. I spent hours on the phone with this company to go over everything we were moving. I was giving an original quote around $3600. The next phone call I received, they tried to increase the price to $4700, then the day the movers came they increased it to over $7000. I called and asked for supervisors to explain how there could be this large of a discrepancy. The supervisor was very rude, and so was the 3rd party moving company. Basically it doesn't matter how much time you spend on the phone going over the itmes in your home, it essentially doesn't matter. The driver will show up and say, we don't go on the items list, its the space in the truck. I tried to cancel the move, and they refused to refund my $1500 depoist. No one tried to help figure out how or why the orinal numbers were so inaccurate. No one accepted responsibility. The movers didn't even take 1/3 of what was on the original list and still wants to charge me over $4500. This was the worst experience I've had with any company in my 41 years on this earth.

Svar från American Dream Relocation
Rude, unprofessional and terrible customer service.
It was not a great experience and caused a lot of stress:
They utilised extra boxes by not optimising the space in each. I had to intervene on how they could fit a few more items in the space.
They contested the amount that it was totaling up to saying the original quotation was off by 250 sq ft. They charged $380 extra. They did not allow me to inspect the truck
The truck they got was huge and it didn't obviously fit into the lane close to the building and thus they charged the long carry amount.
And incorrectly even applied the 12% on this amount! Thankfully I spoke to your representative and they agreed to give that amount back.
They were slip shod on the packaging and the carrying with the result that my kitchen island, steel trash can, bookshelf, ukelele and clock was damaged.
They told me verbally that it will take 4-5 days to reach and after that they need just a 48 hour notice to deliver it to the address I give them. I called on the 16th (my stuff had been picked up on 11th) asking them to deliver it on 18th, but to my surprise they said the truck has been sent to Colorado and hasn't even reached Houston.
When I questioned the owner, he was rude, asking me to read the terms which said 10-14 days conveniently forgetting what he had told me over the phone verbally.
Then followed a daily call up to customer service, where they kept extending the arrival by 2 days.
All this while I was incurring staying charges at a hotel because I could not shift into my new rented house.
The issue is that American Dream Relocation is just a middle man. They sub-contract the packing to another vendor and who in turn (re) sub-contracts it to a third party for transporting! And as one can imagine this is a recipe for mix-ups, passing the blame, chance to make more money , delays and contradicting the terms agreed to by previous 'middle-man'.

Scam Operation
We hired American Dream Relocation to move our belongings from North Carolina to Colorado, and they've lost everything. They picked up items on June 15 and we were expecting delivery sometime around June 25th. And nothing.
Prior to ignoring our calls, transferring us from person to person. They now claim they “cannot locate our order”, which means they either have no idea where our shipment is, or they stole our belongings outright. They are unresponsive, unorganized, and completely unprofessional.
We provided payment, dates, and clear instructions, and in return, we have no belongings, no updates, and no accountability. The movers were from a completely different company (Noble Moving and Storage) its now clear we may be dealing with a scam operation.
If you value your sanity, your money, and your possessions, do not trust this company with a single item you care about. Their “business” practices will leave you stressed, financially harmed, and potentially robbed of your belongings.
American Nightmare Movers
I hired this company to move my daughter from Knoxville to New Orleans. You need to know that they aren't movers. They are brokers. They take your money, then go out and hire cheap, fly by night movers who don't honor the contracts you sign with American Dream. In our situation, the movers showed up 7 hours late, then tried to double the contract charge quoted by American Dream, and add on charges like destination charges that were not part of the original contract. It was a total nightmare. The move went from $3K to $6K and the movers said they weren't bound by whatever was agreed to by American Dream. We tried to reach our agent at American Dream, and he completely blew us off. When i finally got ahold of someone saying they were a manager, he said he could not do anything to help us. So we had to cancel the move, scramble, and find another way to move her across the country for her new job. American Dream then said they would refund my deposit but only after i threatened to sue them. But then they didn't even follow through with a full refund. So i had to follow up with a fraud complaint with American Express to get the charges reversed. You would be insane to trust anything this group tells you. Total scam.

ZERO STARS!!!!! Worst company EVER!!!!
I wish I could give this company a negative star review, but I have to put one to leave one. This company and everyone that works at it is a COMPLETE SCAM! They lied about EVERYTHING! They did the bait and switch on the price, with my estimate going from $5500 to $13,000! They said the truck pulling up at my house would go straight to my new house, but with the actual movers got here they said they never leave the state and they my stuff would be loaded into a semi and reloaded into a smaller truck in the new state. When called to action, they yell at you, speak completely unprofessional and tell you to have your lawyer call their lawyer. Their main goal is just to get the deposit. They don’t care about anything after that and doing have anything to do with your move after that really. They send an actual moving company, who has no clue what you have been told by this SCAM company. And the best part is they will not pick up your calls. Period. After they get your deposit, they just go onto the next victim. The specific people I worked with are Fred, Richard and the all time worst, Jennifer! At least Fred and Richard are polite and respectful when they are lying by to you, Jennifer on the other hand was HORRIBLE and the most unprofessional person I’ve ever worked with. And I run construction projects. NEVER use this BROKER! Just call a local mover and get a real estimate and real movers. These people don’t do anything but work from home to get your deposit!
*FOLLOW UP, because they keep getting WORSE! If you make factual reviews about them, they reach out offering you a SMALL portion of you deposit back that they took for doing nothing except lie. But the new part of the scam is they say if you take your own money back, you sign a contract stating, “Please note that by accepting this refund, you agree not to initiate any disputes, chargebacks, or post any negative or disparaging remarks about the company.” Disgusting!

Absolute worst experience I have ever had with anyone. They will intentionally lie or mislead to get your deposit. Third party mover will show up and it will cost you thousands more than what they promised. You will get charged for things they say are included and when confronted they become threatening and hostile. Do NOT, I repeat, DO NOT under any circumstances trust them to do your move
I have already contacted them and he was rude, dismissive, and refused to listen. Every point and I mean EVERY point that I made this decision to use your firm was a lie resulting in thousands of extra dollars and i still dont have my belongingsyour agent Fred V promised in 7 days. I am a disabled vet and and I am ashamed for you that even that was a selling point saying your owners were vets. Your company is a scam.

They stated the delivery date and time was good and promised to have it there and then they start to avoid your phone calls and then they pull out these loopholes in the contract and never get you a manager to speak to and they just placate you to get you off the phone and state they have to put a request in for a manager to actually talk to you!!! DO NOT USE THIS SCAM OF A COMPANY!!!!!!
