I recently just bought my first property using Allsop Durn & Dearlove Solicitors and have been really impressed throughout with the high level of service which I received. Rozz Allsop was fantastic at keeping me informed throughout by email and was always available to call and speak with directly. The whole process was straight forward and easy going. Rozz presented me prior exchange with a fantastic 10 page report into the work ADD had completed in preparation for my property purchase which was informative and easy to read and to comprehend and understand the implications of the various searches carried out, in addition though Rozz and the team were always encouraging of me to call them if there was anything I required any further clarity about or anything that I might have thought about relevant to the sale. Rozz was absent at one point briefly for a few days in the process and can also say that the locum solicitor Dawn was also very informative and warming to my needs and concerns. What was also really great about Rozz's approach was providing me electronic copies of everything as the process progressed which is nice to have and allowed me to feel confident and at ease with everything throughout.

We recently had the please of using Allsop Durn and Dearlove on our house purchase. I have to say, our Solicitors (Mark Goreham) was excellent throughout, we was patient and thoroughly explained what was happening with our purchase and advising us on what needs to be done. Took over a year to get Lease extended. Once done. waited 16 weeks to get letter of registration of this extension. We requested the solicitors to expedite for urgent matters. They promised to write to Land registry and kept saying Land Registry takes time. Guess what, i managed to contact Land Registry directly, who had never received any request from them. Land Registry complied to my request within 2 days!

Here is a reply from one of the solicitors to only my 2nd email seeking an update on my request: "We have your email and I am only responding as a courtesy and nothing more given that you are not the client of this firm .... . Meanwhile we will not respond to you any further in this matter."

We replied in similar tone, putting them in their place. Never received any acknowledgement of us being clients, or any apology.

This, after we pay them a four-figure fee, and a 5-figure total charge!
