Very disappointed no glasses no refund bee going on for a month now

I ordered glasses from them they sent them quite quickly but the were blurred so they were sent back to be reground,I then had a email to say the perscription was 12 months old so I had a new eye test and sent that ,the perscription had changed very slightly and there was no extra charge. So then I had another email saying it was going to cost a extra 38 pounds to which I questioned and said I would like a refund , now there saying they can't read the date on the new perscription after they uploaded it and said it was ok do not buy from these people it's a absolute joke this has been going on for a month now and I still don't have any glasses or a refund

We're sorry to hear about your negative experience. Our goal is always to ensure our customers receive the right lenses for their needs, and we regret that this process has taken longer than expected.

We see that you have ordered on our UK eshop and upon reviewing your order, we see that the option to manually input your prescription parameters was selected during the ordering process. Unfortunately, the FAR vision parameters were entered instead of the required ADD power for near vision, which resulted in the incorrect lenses being produced. As discussed, we can regrind your lenses at no additional cost as long as we receive a valid prescription that is no older than 1 year. The only scenario where additional charges would apply is if we are unable to verify a valid prescription. However, when the correct parameters for close and reading is inserted correctly, the diopters get pushed up and thus a higher index is required. The regrind would still be free but an additional fee for the higher index would be required. This fee would be only the difference between the prices of the old and the new index.

We appreciate your patience as we work towards a solution. Our team will reach out to you directly to find the best possible resolution as soon as possible. Alensa is the WORST online shop for prescription eyeglasses

Alensa sent me my sunglasses after weeks of waiting. When I put on my sunglasses (with prescription) everything is blurred. I filed a complaint with them with no avail. Where they cannot argue against is the fact that I have 4 other eyeglasses with the SAME prescription done by different agencies and they are perfect. Something is really wrong with Alensa lens manufacturing process. AVOID ALENSA.AE. Here is the email I sent to them: ​

YOUR WEBSITE IS MISLEADING REGARDING THE FIELD OF VIEW. I JUST HAD THE PERSOL SUNGLASSES TESTED IN DUBAI.

I WANTED THE HIGHEST QUALITY LIKE I DID WITH TWO OTHER ONLINE SHOPS AND ONE LOCAL DUBAI SHOP AND THEY ALL PROVIDED ME WITH THE HIGHEST QUALITY (1.74 & THE WIDEST DELUXE FIELD OF VIEW).

YOUR WEBSITE LIMITS THE FIELD OF VIEW WHEN A CUSTOMER SELECT 1.74; YOU DO NOT ALLOW DELUXE FIELD OF VIEW. WHY? BECAUSE YOU WANT TO REDUCE COST AT THE EXPENSE OF THE CUSTOMER IN TERMS OF FIELD OF VIEW. THIS IS COMPLETELY DISHONEST AND VERY SNEAKY BUSINESS BEHAVIOR. WHAT DOES YOUR CEO THINK ABOUT THIS????????

OTHER ONLINE SHOPS DO NOT BEHAVE LIKE ALENSA.
WHAT IS THE CONSEQUENCES OF YOUR DISHONEST ACTIONS: THE SUNGLASSES ARE VERY DANGEROUS TO WEAR WHILE DRIVING AS THE SIDES ARE BLURRED DUE TO REDUCED FIELD OF VIEW.

At this time, the specific combination of 1.74 index and deluxe field of view for multifocal sunglasses is not available with our lens manufacturer, which is why it cannot be selected at checkout and an order for it cannot be placed.

Regarding your prescription sunglasses: if there is any issue with the prescription or the manufacturing of your lenses, we would like to assist you. Our team will be reaching out to provide return instructions so that you can send the glasses back as a reclamation so we can resolve the matter as soon as possible.

Unacceptable Service – Long Delays & Poor Quality Lenses

I wish I had read more reviews before ordering from Alensa.ae because my experience has been nothing short of frustrating. I placed an order in December and was initially told there would be a delay, which I accepted. However, weeks turned into over a month of waiting, with multiple extensions on promises of delivery that were not kept.

When my glasses finally arrived, I was incredibly disappointed. I had paid EXTRA for premium lenses, only to receive ones with such extreme glare that I couldn’t even see my own eyes during work video calls. Even a cheap optician has never given me lenses so bad. I reached out to customer service, and while they initially assured me the issue would be resolved quickly, that was not the case. They scheduled a pickup for the return, which never happened, and I was left waiting yet again with no updates only for me to have to chase them again.

After nearly two months of back-and-forth emails, delays and having to continually chase customer service, I am left with unusable glasses that I paid a premium for and no resolution.

This was my first and last time ordering from Alensa. I was recommended them based on a friend’s suggestion, but I will now be advising others to avoid them altogether. Save yourself the frustration and go to a local optician instead. IT IS NOT WORTH IT!

Regarding the return process, we understand that the confirmation email for the pickup did not reach you, despite the courier company's claim that it was sent. This seems to have been the reason the pickup did not take place when it was supposed to as in order for the couriers to act on it, the pickup has to be confirmed by yourself.

To resolve this, we contacted the courier company and they mentioned that the email has now been resent on March 5th. We also reached out again on the same day to ensure that you received the necessary details. If you are still facing any difficulties, please do not hesitate to contact us — we want to make sure this is fully resolved for you.

I ordered for the first time and was a bit dubious as I tend to order and buy lenses in the UK but they definitely are legit and delivered correct products. Delivery took a bit longer than expected but really good service will definitely be ordering my lenses from here again.

Disappointing Customer Support for Defective Lenses

Two problematic lenses out of a 6-lens box, and the issue is still unresolved. I reached out to their team, but their response has been anything but supportive. Instead of letting me return the defective lenses for examination, they're asking me to prove that my eyes aren’t the issue. Unbelievable! I’m still trying to resolve this, and it’s hard to believe this is the level of service from such a 'big' website.

While we initially offered compensation for the two faulty lenses as an alternative resolution, we completely understand your preference to return the lenses for examination. As outlined in our terms and conditions, opened boxes of contact lenses can only be returned for quality control purposes, which requires a valid prescription. This policy ensures that the manufacturer can verify the correct lenses were purchased and thoroughly investigate the issue.

However, we have brought this case to the attention of our management now and it has been reviewed: A full refund for one box of lenses from this order has been offered as of 28/01. Please do get back to us by responding to the email sent to you, as soon as you are able to, on whether you accept the offer so we can process it as soon as possible.
