Aldi is excellent

Complained to customer service regarding a jar of carrots with a very strange fungal growth inside. Contacted customer support and received an AI generated response from with quite patronising content about saving the planet and directing me to contact the manager of the shop and go look through records of receipts. Voiced the AI response not being acceptable, and received another AI response somewhat owning this and again patronising and convoluted directions to resolve. I only wanted to highlight that the issue wasn't acceptable considering the current situation where product contamination was happening. The end result was my complaint was being sent to some who would deal with it personally... No contact in weeks from Aldi

New size of grocery bags is way too small and overpriced for quality.

I was in aldi carrick on shannon on Monday doing the food shop.have to say delighted with experience .I have a disability the cashier on till named Peter seen me struggling and packed my shopping for me which is rare in alot of supermarkets also asked if I needed help to bring to car.thank you Peter in aldi carrick on shannon.

Very disappointed to find the hazelnut cone ice creams bought on 21st September in Aldi Greystones Ireland have soft rather than crispy cones again. Do I eat them? Have they defrosted and been refrozen?

Price in store are higher than the price stated in Aldi weekly catalogue.Why bring out a catalogue only for the product to be more costly when customers purchase it.Took product back and got a refund. Poor product management by Aldi planners.

aldi portumna co galway their staff are brilliant and so helpful . aldi got a coffee machine installed so i decided to get a cup of americana coffee . it was terrible and their was also a full cup of coffee left there as well someone did not like that coffee either .would not get a cup of coffee from that machine again even if it was free . i think aldi are using their own brand of coffee .and aldi are getting so much more expensive . you pay more for less .it used to be great for shopping but not anymore .a couple of weeks ago i got milk from aldi the following morning it had gone sour i brought it back and they gave me fresh milk in return other customers had the same problem . aldi food is far from fresh .and i avoid going into it as much as i can

Staff in the ballincollig store are a great team and very helpful. The store offers a great range of products and I always manage to find what I need. However the quality of the meat has plummeted and I don’t find it worth my money anymore, hence the 3 star review.

I bought two cartons of light milk which had 5 days before the marked before date of the 25th August 2025. Both cartons of milk were off when I got home.. A complete waste of money.

Nice.and clean

Hi Aldi in Carrickmacross Co Monaghan.
Im one of your daily customers and the last thing would come to my mind is to type any negative review regards anything!
However today i have experienced something .. that has made me deeply upset.
I was in the store at today at around 11.45-11.50 am and i was looking for a salmon darnes (packed).
As I have a liver transplant daughter , I must be 100% carefull of what i buy and where i buy and the quality of food that I purchase.
I could only see a salmon (4 darnes, family pack) that was there, it was due to expiry on the 16.8.25
I asked one of male staff members(I gues non Irish nationals)if there was any fresher salmon in that same family pack size.
Sometimes the fresher food can be in the main fridge of the supermarket , stored .
The staff member answered to me " As you see, there is none there, it doesnt go that far" "You see"
and he left.. all I could say back was (as I tried to take in his ruddest answer) " I have a liver transplant child at home"...
He did not answer to that and just walked away...
I did not adress this to a store mamanger as dont normaly do those things.
However as I reached home, I thought about this and how it affected me and hurt me.
Dear "memeber of Aldi staff of Carrickmacross" that has said this to me, please think twice before you deal with customers query for the next time.

I wont be changing my local Aldi to another store , however todays situation has left an impact on me.

I believe the Donegal Aldi store to have given me food poisoning. Loyal customer spending €200 a week on groceries. I ate a chicken & bacon wrap purchased in store and then had bad vomitting & diarrhoea for the weekend. I informed the store and they offered me a €15 voucher. No where near good enough. I’ve reported them to the FSIA and won’t shop there again.

So 1 of the shops at the forefront of pushing the digital agendas computers gave gonno thanks Ill go e down on 1 of the busiest nights of the week have a girl on the door telling you where the nearest atm is 🤣🤣🤣

I bought turkey mince in Aldi and I cooked it on the day of purchase. Unfortunately, my husband found a shard of glass in his food which almost broke his implanted tooth. I immediately phoned the Aldi helpline number to report this matter and they said they would pass it to the intervention team. It took the intervention team three days to respond to me requesting photos which I supplied. Nothing happened for a further four days until I contacted them again. At this point they emailed to offer me €15! I had no interest then or now in personal gain however I believe there should have been an investigation of some sort or a product recall or a customer advisory, none of these things happened so please dear reader take this as a cautionary, do not buy turkey mince in Aldi or buyer beware!

what has happened to the quality of your fruit and veg the last 6-12 months, it’s absolutely scandalous?! You have started charging more (similar to Tesco, SuperValu) but the quality has massively decreased? I bought raspberries today, specially selected too, cost me over 2.50 and only a third of the pack was edible, barely edible, and they looked like the best pack of raspberries ye had out. Same thing happens constantly, your broccoli, strawberries and lettuce are going rotten within a day too. I used to recommend Aldi to everyone because I love Aldis own brand products, but you’re about to have a long time customer switch over to dunnes. I’ve heard A LOT of people complain about the quality of your veg and fruit lately. Time to pick up the slack, do better. We can’t afford to be buying rotten products in this economy with the current prices of things…

i do my shopping in aldl they used to be cheap not anymore last week i got steak striploin it was 5.99 euros and a week later they are 9.29 euros aldi are rip off people aldi not cheap anymore with there food

The staff should learn how to do their job and not chat away at the poxy tills, never mind I asked a simple question she hadn’t clue don’t blame her but like does this company not teach shit to their workers? I’m after just leaving my shopping there and left so fuming couldn’t get one worker to help me find something when I tried to ask for help they looked at me and completely ignored me, ridiculous.

Staff very nice but Aldi tried to refuse a refund for a faulty Crane Reformer. I had contacted Aldi Customer services who did not tell me a fault was emerging with the Crane reformer which was only purchased a few weeks ago, I only found out about this when I took it back to Aldi Castlebar. Staff had been notified of the fault but they had been instructed to tell customers that Aldi would not refund and in time would replace. It took some effort from me to explain to the manger what Aldi’s legal obligations were and I finally got my refund. I will never buy anything significant from Aldi again, it’s not worth it.
