Useless company
Useless company. Will never use again. Took them days to bother to respond with meaningless apology. The car rental company they hooked me up with even worse, called Bargain Car Rentals. Rude staff.

We understand it would have been frustrating to arrive at the airport unsure when your shuttle would arrive after your attempts to contact the depot. The booking confirmation included the supplier's shuttle collection instructions, including the contact number, collection point, and advice to allow up to 20 minutes for the shuttle after requesting collection.
We're also sorry to hear your comments regarding the service you received from Bargain Car Rentals' staff.
We appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention and will share your feedback with Bargain Car Rentals so they can review both the shuttle collection process and the customer service you experienced.

Presentation of vehicles was great.
Choosing one to suit my needs was made easy by the number of vehicles available.
Securing the vehicle was completed very quickly - pads of paperwork no longer there! Completed a few strokes of the keyboard (after reading and approving the Terms and Conditions) and the vehicle will be mine by contract for the term of the hire.

Many of our vehicles offer free cancellation up to 48 hours before pick-up; however, some prepaid rates are subject to different cancellation terms, including cancellation fees, depending on the supplier and the timing of the cancellation request. The applicable terms are displayed during the booking process and included on the confirmation voucher.
If you could provide your booking reference (starting with IM), we'd be happy to review your reservation and contact you directly to clarify the cancellation terms that applied to your booking.

Booked through airport rentals and was…
Booked through airport rentals and was required to pay $79.97. This was noted as deposit however East Coast rentals in Cairns would not honour this and they told me it was a booking fee and does not come off the booking and that it should not be called a deposit but it is a finders fee. Misleading and will never use again .

We are sorry to hear about the confusion regarding the payment made at the time of booking.
The AUD 79.97 paid when making your reservation was not a booking fee. It was a deposit paid towards the estimated total rental cost, as outlined during the booking process. Your booking confirmation also specifies that this deposit is payable to Airport Rentals, with the remaining rental balance due directly to the rental provider upon collection of the vehicle.
As the deposit is collected by Airport Rentals, only the outstanding rental balance is reflected in the rental provider's system. Unless additional products or services are selected at the counter, the amount payable on arrival should be the remaining balance shown on your confirmation voucher, plus any applicable credit card surcharge in accordance with the supplier's terms and conditions.
We are concerned by the advice you were given and will be raising this feedback with East Coast Car Rentals, as the deposit paid at the time of booking forms part of the overall rental cost and should not be described as a "booking fee" or "finder's fee".
If you could please provide your booking reference, we would be happy to investigate this matter further and contact you directly.

After my previous negative review
After my previous negative review, where Bargain car rentals would not review my deposit as I was a no show after the airline cancelled my flight, Airport rentals have overridden Bargain and refunded my deposit. Full credit to them, but none to Bargain.
