Complete scam, Agreed to free news letter. Invoiced around a month later for £80 inc vat. stating i have received something via mail however I haven't. I have emailed them and still waiting for them to sort it out. Threatening language in emails and letters. Attempts to contact them are futile, as their phones lines are constantly engaged. And now I am reading same reviews all around, will need to report them as scam.

This company are using under hand tactics to get you to pay for there services .There is no transparency. Their reviews say it all.

Terrible business!

Avoid and dispute the invoice.
I phoned to give feed back all emails look like spam/junk we were'nt even aware we had signed up to this.

WARNING – Avoid Agora Business Publications and CCS Collect

This is a serious warning to anyone considering visiting Agora Business Publications — do not visit their site. I landed on their page simply looking for basic health and safety information. I never signed up for anything or requested a service. Yet, shortly after visiting, I received an unsolicited invoice for a service I never agreed to.

This company appears to collect your contact details from just a visit and uses that to send out fake invoices. When you don’t pay (because you never requested anything!), they escalate it to a debt collection agency — CCS Collect, who then starts harassing you with payment notices. This entire setup feels like a deliberate scam designed to exploit people through intimidation and loopholes in the law.

The mental stress, time wasted, and the audacity of being chased over something you never agreed to is beyond frustrating. Agora Business Publications and CCS Collect are acting in a way that is unethical, misleading, and predatory.

Please do not visit Agora Business Publications – it is a trap. Both they and CCS Collect should be investigated for these practices. It’s shameful that this kind of manipulation is still legally allowed to happen.

I wish I could give a negative rating. This company operates like a complete scam! Simply entering your details to learn more about their services results in an unexpected invoice and relentless demands for payment. Attempts to contact them are futile, as their phones lines are constantly engaged.

Avoid Agora also the Health and Safety adviser online at all costs. Corrupt file links sent, no access to their database.

One hyperlink took me to a dead-end German website. Single call from CDM publication agent Ian asking to turn off the anti-virus system.

Poor service, no apologies, no intent to address their document access issue, ignores letter content, and the entire experience reads as a SCAM.

Poor communication, other than the repeated invoices.

Looking into legal action against Agora also the Health and Safety adviser online.

Cold called regarding H&S services. Agreed to free news letter. Invoiced around a month later for £156.30 inc vat. Advised that I should have cancelled. Only positive thing about this company is that they cancelled the invoice. Obviously reliant on businesses not following up cancellation to scam them out of cash for services that they haven't provided. Avoid!!!

This people have been harrasing me with emails and letter claiming i subscribed to their service and now owe them.
I can find any regulatory organization to report them to but i am going to report them to the police for harrasement

Complete scam, was cold called by someone and said I wasn't interested. Somehow now there trying to say that I owe them monies and even dept collectors. Threatening emails and letters. These people are utter scammers. Im going to report these scammers the trading standards. Then lets see what happens!!

Another victim of this scam over 320 reviews all saying the same being sent invoices and debt collectors for a subscription they didnt want or subscribe to. How many more people are affected. It seems this business spends all its efforts sending invoices and debt collectors and replying to reviews claiming you subscribed and didn't cancel. It is normal when you subscribe to a free trail you provide your payment details and if you forget to cancel payment is taken. These payments are protected and regulated by Financial Conduct Authority under Payment services regulations 2017. Why do this company not take payment detail? Because the consumer would be protected and would be refunded and this scam to get money out of innocent people who don't want your subscription and never did would be stopped. Rather than focus on developing a service that people might actually want to subscribe to. This company seems to focus on hounding what were potential customers for money for a service that they decided was not suitable or worth a paid subscription. Disgusting way to treat anyone let alone potential customers. Which begs the question how much are this company making by persuing non subscrbers v those who paid.

I haven’t received any services or advice from this company. I was browsing on the internet and I have today paid £138 for services and debt collection fees. I’m a seriously sick person with severe Parkinson’s disease and serious heart problems. This situation has caused me so much grief after receiving demand after demand for payment and now a threat to take it further by the debt collection agency. If I weren’t so ill I would have taken it much further. Please don’t use this company. A definite SCAM.

Out of the blue we got an invoice in the post for £99.80 for Health & safety adviser online subscription. We had no clue why so I rang Agora business publications LLP and spoke to Neil. I asked why we had been sent the invoice and Neil said my husband had signed up for a free trial and then not clicked on the email to either keep or cancel the trial. My husband wasn’t even aware he had done this. I told Neil we hadn’t had any emails so Neil tried to send me an email while I was on the phone but he said it wouldn’t send. After this he accepted we hadn’t had the emails and cancelled our subscription and invoice.
I initially left 1 star on my review and said Agora were scammers which was our initial view after getting the unexpected invoice out of the blue. I have now changed this to 3 because thanks to Neil the issue has been resolved to our satisfaction. I think Agora need to look at the way they handle their free trials because an awful lot of people seem very unhappy getting billed by your company.

Complete scam. I didn't sign up for any paid service or subscription and now they are billing me for £100 per year. Sorry I didn't sign any contract, I didn't sign up for a paid service. Time to report you to trading standards.

Following on from this:
I have raised a case with Trading Standards through citizens advice which provide free legal support and I have raised an Action Fraud Complaint. All parties are aware of multiple complaints against Agora Business.co.uk

Exactly the same scam as previously mentioned. Will be reporting to trading standards. Do not fall for their bullshit.

This companny is a scam, we are a Care Provider and did not sign up with them. I got an invoice of £49 and then a debt collection of £62. Please stay away from them. They need to be brought to justice and all funds refunded with compensation. I will be chasing this up.

Another victim of this scam!!
Input my details to download a ‘free resource’ and apparently signed up to a subscription, which I only found out about when they started sending me invoices. When queried with them they forwarded the email they supposedly sent me which I can’t find in my inbox - all very suspicious. Now apparently I owe them £209 even though I actually only received 2 of their HR Adviser Online emails at £79.80 each. Seems like they are balancing on an extremely fine line between legal and illegal!

Another vote for scam. I have no recollection of signing up for a ‘free trial’. Have only ever received one email from them stating I would be sent another email with details how to log on….. this never arrived. Only became aware when an invoice arrived I the post. Then another….They are using a mixture of my private and business email/ address so this is also suspicious.

This company is a scam and is looting money by trapping readers in their subscription. I only filled out the form and invoiced twice. They are committing fraud with what they're doing.

I too have been subjected to a Scam by this company. They claim I signed up for a Free Trial followed by the automatic enrolment to a subscription service offering Health and Safety Advisors online. Their details contain a mix of my work address and my personal home address. I have contacted them but they insist I signed up for this service, which I did not. They are now sending me invoices for £79.80, £83.00 and £99.00 for digital services they claim I have had. I have contacted them and they have agreed to close the account but not clear the outstanding invoices for services I have no recollection or records of asking for, I did not want and do not want. I have today reported it to Trading Standards through the Citizens Advice Website.

This is clearly a scam where they have obtained my work and personal details. DO NOT ENGAGE WITH THIS COMPANY.

Hi this is just a responce to other people slagging the company off , I like many took advantage of the free offer and within the trial period unsubscribed . However I mispelt the email addrress and started getting invoices which was correct in the eyes of the law , I was away for a while and returned to several more invoices so gave them a Call a lovely mad called Neil asked me to send a copy of the undelivered email which I did and hey presto the account was scrapped no more invoices and no more stress .
Check you have not mispelt the email address as its not advisor its adviser.....
