We experienced the friendliest reception ever at a rental car desk and there was no queue. The car received was larger than what we paid for and it has a mere 236 kms on the meter, so basically brand new. Despite the car being new, we had some problems with it, but that’s VW’s fault, not Actives’. We drove the car across five borders (for the advertised €70 extra cost) and returned it without any problems to a similarly friendly employee as at checkout. The deposit was released immediately. Hassle-free and very good value for money.
I seldom write reviews but considering that this company is taking flak for an apparently similarly named rogue company in Antalya I make an exception and highly recommend (the Croation company) Active! (Who are these ignorants that can’t tell the difference between Turkey and Croatia?)

This company totally SCAM VERY DISAPPOINTED!first when I book online I’ve included a car insurance but when I arrive in ANTALYA they ask me to get there OWN insurance or I’ll make a deposit €900 so we get the insurance.We have a flat tire so we change the tire and they are fully aware didn’t say anything when we returned the car.when I’m back in UK they charged me £508 for a tire so we ask the receipt and breakdown so we could claim to the insurance but no response for almost 3 weeks till now. My deposit didn't refunded. Now I realised It’s A MODUS! I’m disputing now to my Credit card! BEWARE SCAMMER COMPANY

Customer service was ok at Rijeka airport, Tamara was friendly and helpful with no queues.

Unfortunately the car was not cleaned in or out and the service light was on (I was told about this). The roof inside the car was covered in what I assume to be Coca Cola. It really was a state. Fuel 5/8ths and told to return like for like.

On the plus side the value was good - £180 for 12 days and the air on ran very well. The Renault Clio had wireless Apple car play so perfect for sat nav.

We travelled to Slovenia and Italy, €70 surcharge, payment made at pick up without problems.

Delivery back to the airport was smooth and Tamara was once again helpful. All good, apart from the car was dirty in and out.

I was very skeptical at first because I made the reservation by email and didn't pay anything. I said I would land in Zadar and find no one at the office. but there was a very kind person there and he helped me. I made a reservation for a 5-door volkswagen polo but I received something over. A new T-Cross with only 500 km on board. I wholeheartedly recommend this company. Petar Boro grade 10+

They do not return deposits.they are scammers and will tell you deposit has been sent back but it hasn't stay away from this company they are trouble

Rented a car in Antalya airport with right cars “active car hire “returned car 22nd February today 6 April didn’t get the deposit… they actually take the deposit money not just blocking …. Never again this scam company

They don't refund my security deposit. Whenever I reach to the company they always say "Sorry, there was a mistake, you will be refunded in 3 days" By the way they never answer a number if you call twice. I give them a call always by different numbers because they block my number each time after ı reach.

Anladığım kararı ile bu firma araba kiralamaktan para kazanmak yerine teminat bedelini iade etmemekten kazanıyor. Bugün bana Aralık ayı içerisinde 3 Bin adet kontratlarının olduğunu söylediler ama vergi kayıtları buna yakın bir kazancı hiç göstermiyor.
Ben 2 defa araba kiraladım. Her defasında 500 EURO teminat bedeli çektiler. Arabayı her defasında sorunsuz olarak iade ettim ancak aradan neredeyse 5 ay geçmesine rağmen teminat bedelini geri iade etmediler. Sanırım oyalama taktiği ile unutturaileceklerini zannediyorlar. Sürekli telefon ediyorum. Telefonu açıp "3 gün içerisinde iade yapılacak" diyorlar. Hatta bazen "Bugün iadesi yapıldı, birkaç güne kadar kredi kartınızda göreceksiniz" deyip arkasından o aradığım numarayı bloke ediyorlar. Ben de başka bir numaradan ulaşıyorum.
Ben Dalaman Tüketici Hakem Heyeti'ne müracat ettim şimdi sonucu bekliyorum.
Depozitomyu EURO olarak faizi ile birlikte geri alabileceğimi söylediler.
Ayrıca firmanın bağlı olduğu broker'ların hepsi ile de iletişime geçtim.

This rental car running with mafia!
Believe me when i said that, very bed experience with them, After many phone call and text, even wife she is Turkish, she made many calls, they told, what can you do!? We paid €650 as Deposit, we end up to pay our credit card just because more then 45 days, they never respond to our calls, I Physically went there again and had chat with Elyas, but he has done nothing! Please Honestly.Don't use this company for rent car.There are bunch of the Bankers!
if choice to go a head with them, good luck, but you guys will be regret, believe me.

When I pick up the car at night in Antalya I noticed later that the tank was not completely full. I rented the car by Right Cars but Active Rent a Car was the actualy name of the rental agency. When I gave back the car it was very difficult to find to location. They took 650 € von my credit card as guarantee on 1 Dec. 2023 but still didn't pay it back (it is now 28 Feb 2024). I sent an email but no one reacted. Don't rent cars by:
- Right Cars
- Active Rent a Car
- or by the mother company TL International Group.

Nobody answers any emails regarding this
I have a video of the vehicle on collection and return with no damage and it was signed off on drop off as ok so why is my deposit being withheld

Active rentcar à Antalya sont des voleurs . A chaque fois il faut attendre 2 mois pour obtenir le remboursement de la caution. A éviter à tout prix. Ils demandent d’écrire sur Whatsapp mais ne vous lisent pas. Même chose lorsqu’on envoi un mail sur leur site officiel

J'ai pris une voiture à Zagreb et tout s'est bien passer mais maintenant je cours derrière eux depuis maintenant 3 mois pour récupérer ma caution, il m'envoie dans tout les sens sans jamais faire le nécessaire.
C'est des arnaqueur

Good car, BUT.. payed 30euros for out of hour service, where there was no one on return to take the keys and check car.. they took 800e depozit, and then said to wait one week to get money back..

Surprise, ils ne prennent pas les cartes de début.
Nous avons été contraints de prendre une assurance plus chère, ce qui nous est revenu à 130€ de plus que prévu et de laisser une caution de 1500€.
La voiture était introuvable sur le parking (22h00)
L’employé de l’agence n’a même pas regardé la voiture qui été déjà endommagée.
Nous avons pris des photos.

Au retour, à l’aéroport de Dubrovnik, l’employé nous a reproché une rayure sur le capot qui y était déjà mais malheureusement invisible sur nos photos du 1er jour……

Grosse arnaque!!!!

Split Airport customer service very very rude and unfriendly to help any problems. Shouting and rude. No more this rubbish "rental car company"

From a car hire in Croatia, on return of vehicle , the aggressive and intimidating person in charge , pointed out a small scratch(0-50mm) under the front bumper(not visible standing up!) which i was unaware of , and hard to prove beyond reasonable doubt that it might of been there before , as i had to get on my hands and knees to actually see anything ,on trying to tell the person in charge i knew nothing about this !, he repeatedly shouted , how i done this !? when i done this !? and in the end of repeatedly!! trying to tell him i knew nothing of this small scratch and i wasn't involved in any accident.My nephew was with me and he knows what a good driver i am and how careful i am driving, I was rushed into signing a damage invoice as i was going to get my flight and was charged the 250 euro which in itself is verging on fraudulent . Left a bad taste of the trip for sure! Take 1million holiday snaps of your rental car before you leave the depot!

We picked a car at Split airport. Our car was better than we booked. Car was clean, without any odor and with full tank. It was cheaper to book it through holidayautos and buy a full insurance at the place in Active office. No trouble along the way, nor during the drop-off. I recommend this car rental

We picked a car at dt Dubrovnik office and drove it all around Croatia and Slovenia during our 10 day rental period before dropping it off at Zagreb airport. They were cheaper than their competitors even during the hi-season. Car was new, and very clean, and came with a full tank. No trouble along the way, nor during the drop-off. Very pleased.

Det hele var som det skulle være nemt at finde, god betjening ved disken, bilen var klar og i ok stand med små ridser her og der, som man gik rundt med udlejer og fandt. Og ingen problemer ved aflevering.
Så jeg kan kun anbefale Active som biludlejer i Split lufthavn Kroatien
