Ableworld - Stockton Omdömen 

Went in Ableworld (just a look) and found in the doorway my new freedom wheels. Diane was so very helpful and knowledgeable, feel like I can conquer the world now lol. Would recommend to everyone who needs a bit of help with mobility.

I visited the Stockton store not knowing what I was really looking for. But on arrival we were greeted by Gemma who from the start put me at ease. Long story to short l got what has turned out to be one of my best purchases ever thanks to Gemma. I would highly recommend to anyone who is thinking of purchasing either a wheelchair or mobility scooter to go to ableworld.

Alan, at the Portrack Lane shop in Stockton On Tees, did a wonderful professional repair for us today, on a mobility scooter. He was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. Thank you very much Alan.

My daughter had an accident and needed a temporary stair lift as a matter of urgency. From the phone call I made to the Stockton branch to the installation took less than 24 hours because they really pulled out all the stops - it was the coronation weekend too. Super pleased with their sympathetic and professional approach. Hats off to Chris too - he surveyed and fitted in my tiny wonky cottage with skill.

My father purchased a scooter from the Stockton on Tees branch 14 months ago. The scooter has now developed a fault where all operations are completely dead. The branch collected the scooter 2 weeks ago, but don't appear to have any sense of urgency in finding the fault or repairing it. Until this is returned, he has lost his mobility outside of his house which is not helping his mental health. Have tried contacting Ableworld on his behalf, but no response to my mails. I see other people have been asked to get in touch via the support@ address, but no point if they don't want to reply. In contact with Trading Standards.

Rubbish pill popper.
Whatever you do do not buy the pill popper from Ableworld. It is tiny, made of cheap plastic and will not pop pills without crushing them. It is crap. Also if you open it to test it you will not get a refund. The shop said no twice and the head office make excuses and basically tell you to get lost. I wish I had found out about their abysmal after sales service before purchasing a riser recliner from them. I would certainly have gone elsewhere. Once again the pill popper is absolute rubbish.

Please be aware that mobility scooter batteries are not VAT free from this retailer, I believe that this should be made clear before purchase,as you can purchase batteries VAT free from other mobility shops.

The manager and engineer at the Ableworld shop on Portrack Lane, Stockton were ‘knights in shining armour’ on Friday 6/1/23. My daughter is a Community Nurse and had stopped to complete some paperwork. However she forgot to switch her headlights off and the battery was flat!! We approached the manager and engineer from the shop came to the rescue and managed to jump start her car so she could continue with her calls. HUGE THANKS FOR THE ASSISTANCE!

I took my mobility scooter in as I needed new batteries and the wiring to the batteries had loose connectors so I thought these could be looked at too ... they needed to replace these wires ... my scooter was fully working and had been an absolute god send as I cant walk very far at all the only issue was that the battery was lasting less and less each time I used it no other problems at all .. i was told it was ready to be picked up which i had to get a friend to come from quite far to do this ... to find it wasnt ready !! .. a few days and nearly £150 I got it back but it didnt seem powerful at all and very sluggish .. and ran out even quicker than ever !! .. so I rang up and took it back in the staff were all in the car park smoking as usual and Alan who had mended it came over he looked at it there and then he tipped it up slightly but he was knelt down something I cant do due to knee replacements ... he reached in toward the back end and said aww there is a loose wire which he put straight back together and said awww this is what you get when you buy 2nd hand scooters this quote he has already said on a number of occasions up till that point ( i felt judged for not being able to afford a brand new one ... as i struggled to buy the one I did ) ..when he put these wires back together I asked if he could have caused that when he was doing the other wiring as it was near the ones he had replaced .. he took that as me accusing him .. and then turned not so nice but said these wires were loose and might come apart again so I asked if he could put tape round them he said yes but I'd have to take it in and do it ... that didnt make sense as he could have just got tape and put it round it there and then which he said he couldnt as he is rushed off his feet ! ..so he said I could do that .. but like I've said and told him i cant kneel down he then kept my scooter for nearly 2 weeks and when I picked it up he came out with it's the hardest job he has done he had to take the base plate off and this that and the other off some screws he took ages with and the job had taken him over an hour !! I'm lucky as he said I'm only charging you for 15 mins work Bearing in mind he put them together in the car park and easily reached them then ! .. his whole attitude was shocking and said I had to pay another £17.50 .. so I've had to spend what is a small fortune to me and guess what ... it's still isnt working properly shocking company not sympathetic at all

We have used the Stockton store 3 times in the last 3 weeks and cannot fault the staff in any way We have dealt with Gemma every time and she couldn’t do enough to help us pointing us in the right direction for our needs Totally satisfied with our visits

Just left the Ableworld Stockton store after going in to purchase mobility scooter batteries for my dad's scooter. We were assisted by a lady called Gemma who was an absolute gem, she was super helpful and very informative! There was another femqle employee whose name I didn't catch, she was also really friendly and chatted to us while we waited. Great service!
We will definitely be back in the future.

i suffer from arthritis and am awaiting a hip operation. I visited Ableworld Stockton to look at aides and equipment that would make life easier and less painful both before and after my op. The staff are absolutely lovely and not at all pushy.... couldnt have been more helpful. Came away with aides that have really helped especially raised toilet seat. Thank you....still waiting for that op . Val Robertson

We had a fantastic experience at the Stockton branch, they were so helpful with things we needed for my mum who became disabled at very short notice. I would highly recommend the whole team, they were friendly, helpful, and experienced. Thank your!

I visited the Stockton store and Sheila was very good and explained every thing we wanted to know. And arranged a demonstrations which also very good and we bought a Powerchair.

We received excellent customer service today from Sheila, who went more than the extra mile. My elderly mother was treat with both dignity and geniune kindness in the Stockton-on-Tees branch. You are a credit to the company. Thank you.

Visited stockton store and was well dealt with by shiela who couldn’t do enough for me I purchased a new scooter which I thought was very good and the delivery was great everyone was very good and helpful much appreciated thank you very much
