Be wary of advice given
First registered with Tesla for the install of a PW3 and EP back in October 2025 and was told they had allocated 21 Degrees as the allocated installer. Having waited a few weeks and hearing nothing, i went back on to retry to see if there was an issue. Again i waited another few weeks but again nothing came from 21 degrees.
Unbeknown to me, 21 degrees Nottingham was the allocated unit but on enquiring with them, i was informed they do not fit the PW3. I asked if i was able to get the York branch to sort which they said yes and provided the number and was told they should be able to.
Having made a call to the York branch, I was given the initial quote that whilst a fair bit more expensive than i was hoping for, the T&C on the cashback offer from Tesla stated i needed to have the work completed buy their recommended installer. With the cashback, it put the price where i was willing to pay.
As i was having a rewire and was wanting the batteries located at the far end of the house to where the consumer unit was, i asked what cabling would be required to have them placed where i wanted them. I was advised incorrectly and ended up fitting a secondary consumer unit and a cable that was not required as the cable went into the consumer unit where it is meant to go straight into the batteries. I don't know what the individual cost was but the electrician stated it would have been around £750 with the labour for both the cable and consumer box.
When the survey was conducted, i was informed that that cable and consumer unit was not required. I naturally hit the roof due to what i had paid to have this installed, i was asked to provide the emails showing what i was informed would be needed and to be fair to 21 degrees; they didn't add any cost onto the cable they then ran for the batteries but that would not have come anywhere near the £750 i had paid so I'm still out of pocket for the bad advice i was given.
Now all installed with no issues and i have just had the refund of £750 approved by Tesla but its still a bitter pill with the money i wasted which is why i can only award 3 stars but i am happy with the install. Just unsure if i would use them again for an ASHP that i will be considering in the future.

Firstly, we’re very sorry for the confusion and delays at the start of your journey. The allocation between Tesla and our regional teams clearly wasn’t as smooth as it should have been, and we understand how frustrating that must have felt, especially after having to chase things up more than once.

That’s not the standard we aim for, and we completely understand why this caused frustration and left you out of pocket initially. While we’re glad we were able to support your case with Tesla and that they approved the £750 refund, we recognise this doesn’t undo the inconvenience caused.
On a more positive note, we’re pleased to hear that you’re happy with the final installation of your Powerwall system and that everything is now working as it should.

I built a passive house. 21 degrees, fitted the windows and doors, and designed and supplied the MVHR system. These are two different teams, but in both cases, the experience with working with 21 degrees is very positive. The guys are knowledgeable and super helpful and have helped us throughout the whole Passive House process. I'd highly recommend them.

Very happy with my experience with 21 degrees - the solar panel setup is working really well for us. They were a pleasure to work with and made it easy to move through the process. The only caveat is they tend to quote high (all-in batteries etc. ), we worked down to what was more reasonable given our situation.

A good experience
The engineer was on time. He was pleasant and helpful and thoroughly cleaned the unit. Because it was so clean when he arrived, he recommended that the next service be planned for 3 years time.

Knowledgeable and keen staff. Fitting triple-glazed windows for the whole house, and they all wanted to get the job done, and didn't look for excuses when things got difficult.
I would say the only thing that could have helped is if they chatted to our on-site builder & joiner before starting work, to get the 'lie of the land'.

As a customer who recommended this company to quite a few neighbours and gave them more business, I would no longer recommend this company to anyone. If your battery breakdown it’s no longer their problem. Our battery has been broken for the past 8 months, failing a replacement in November and we are supposedly getting another replacement in March. No compensation or exchange for a different brand. You are on your own to sort it out with the battery company. They will only provide their customer service until the installation and will provide the worst service you will ever experience if your battery fails. If I could give 0 stars I would for the stress and disappointment they caused us for the past few months.

From the very first survey I was so impressed with 21 degrees. David was incredibly helpful and knowledgable to guide me through the best tailored option for my new build property. The team carrying out the work were amazing, incredibly diligent and super neat, the finish is far better than I had anticipated. I took out a 7 year maintenance…
I took out a 7 year maintenance contract in about 2018. Every year the previous two versions of this company came in October to service my heat pumps. In 2024 they didn’t turn up - said they sent an email to arrange to come, got no reply and then did nothing. I was away sailing for a year and I didn’t spot that they hadn’t been. I didn’t hear anything from them throughout 2025. In January 2026 I realised they hadn’t been in 2025, and on checking back they hadn’t been in 2024. So paid for 7 years maintenance in advance and for no reason at all didn’t fulfill their contractual obligation until I chased them several times, coming in Feb 2026, after no maintenance for almost 2 and a half years.
At best the whole process was mid managed, at worst it’s just avoiding doing work they’ve already been paid for.
No problem with the work that was eventually done - the guy that came to do the work was great.
Probably not a great idea to then mither me for a review.

Great communication through the design process. A daunting amount of components arrive but the instructions very quickly put you at ease with everything fitting together beautifully. I also managed to lose my instructions so reached out to see if by any chance they were still on record and had them in my inbox within 10 minutes. Great service and a friendly team!

Solar `Panels and Tesla Powerwall Installation
We had solar panels and a Tesla Powerwall 3 installed by 21 Degrees and the whole experience was exceptional from start to finish. They later returned December 25 to install a second battery as well, and it was just as smooth and professional.
What really stood out was the people. Every member of staff we dealt with went the extra mile — knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and clearly proud of the work they do. They took time to explain everything properly, answered all our questions patiently and made what could have been a complex project feel straightforward and well-managed. A special call out for Natalie J., who consistently went the extra mile. Thank you.
Everything has been very reliable and has worked exactly as expected. The installation was neat, efficient, and clearly done to a high standard. Communication throughout was excellent, timelines were met and there were no surprises.
It’s rare to find a company where the technical quality and the customer service are both this good. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend 21 Degrees to anyone considering solar or battery storage.
