I just now finished, with much delight and excitement, viewing your Q2 2019 edition on Issuu. Such a present to see your curating! Each piece is stunning and the juxtaposition across the page and spread is simply outstanding!

I feel honored to be invited to submit my work. And with much thanks, I will happily bring 4 of my rather eclectic photographic imagery into the foray. I use my camera to create abstract non-object images which I do not manipulate once created. I hope they meet your standards and 1340 aesthetics.

Paid placement for a posting on their Instagram.

I've been reposted by legitimate art feeds with 5 times as many followers, and you want me to pay you for exposure? GFY

My experience with 1340 art has been mostly positive. Unfortunately, I could not pay the fee to get my artworks accepted but all around I love the magazine. Will 100% try again when I have the money to participate.

I've had a very positive experience working with everyone at 1340 Art Gallery. Good communication, very helpful, friendly and informed.

My original review was reported for my verbiage suggesting this gallery isn’t genuinely trying to help artists but is, instead, using its profile to falsely offer exposure to generate income, so here’s an amended review in line with a request I modify my language ... The gallery contacted me via IG and I used my profile to find out what others had experienced with many responding to describe how they feel they’d been misled and lost their money on a vanity project. The MO is you get a comment on your IG post saying they’ll give you a shout out on their page if you submit an image; they could just offer to repost? Once the image is submitted (which I did) they email saying your work is so good you can, maybe, get in their magazine, for a fee! I didn’t and don’t follow such requests up but guess people do and many contacted me with experience of this familiar MO and no magazine exposure, with many more such gripes to be found on YouTube, for example (at the time of writing). They described feeling misled having lost their submission fee .. Just saying. I’ve reported them to the authorities. Just letting you know so you know. Their emails can be seen on my IG profile @john_conway1 at end April, early May 2019. I apologise to 1340art if my suggestion that paying the submission fee may lead to artists feeling fooled caused them any offence. No offence was intended and I’d have preferred they’d interacted in a positive way so that I could view them in a more positive light. Alas they haven’t and I can’t, as many others tell me they can’t, however, hope other artists have had more positive, genuine experiences than the people who’ve contacted me.

Il demande de l'argent pour un concours qui n'existe pas réellement. Soyez vigilant lorsqu'une situation comme celle-ci se présente à vous. Quand ça commence à devenir trop facile et au finale on vous demande de payer une somme d'argent, c'est que c'est clairement une grosse arnaque et pour finir, toujours ce renseigner et demander l'avis des autres pour éviter de se faire avoir par ce genre d'individus.

Très clairement une arnaque !

Ils demandent 30.- pour une participation à un concours hypothétique auxquels ils invitent visiblement le maximum d'artistes en leur disant qu'il sont sélectionnés pour la "sélection finale". Ça m'étonnerait que 10 000 artistes le soit. Ils cherchent juste à gagner le maximum d'argent sur le dos des artistes.

Ensuite, leur magazine est publié qu'en ligne. Visiblement pas de version papier, rien.

Et pour finir les adresses mentionnés sur leur site sont complétement fictive !

À éviter sans hésitation !

Like everyone else on here I was wondering if this was bone fide or a scam. I have to say that I am really happy with all e-mails received. I have checked out the magazine and was relieved to see how professional it is. The standard of art portrayed is extremely high. So fingers crossed that they like my varied styles. Regardless of what happens thank you for boosting my confidence.

Got the invite to participate for the contest, and I did I've submitted my work without hesitation. Regardless the outcome I'm happy and proud they took the time to look at my work and reach out to me.

The team at 1340 has been incredibly helpful and prompt in answering all of my questions regarding online and print submissions.

For me personally, i never submit my artwork due payment problem.
Overall support was great due my experience with 1340, maybe you guys should try to email each artist personally. Since there were a lot of fraud out there.

Also thank you for the opportunity to know you guys, it means a lot to me as a new artist.
