Poor members service.

Bought membership, didn't receive a membership number in time to book the Orchid Show, so paid for tickets, even though this would have been free with the membership, to avoid missing out. Finally got through to the membership office a week later who told me I could have booked members tickets without a membership no (even though there appeared to be no way to do this on the website) and preferred to refund the membership rather than the tickets, curtailing income from future visits?! Very strange way to do business!

Incompetent

Resolving my issue has taken 2 months, c. 35 e-mails, c. 21 different ‘customer experience partners’, 6 phone calls (2 hours), 3 orders, 1 cancelled order (by John Lewis), 2 deliveries, 2 collections and 2 faulty items. I repeatedly requested escalation and was promised phone calls which I did not receive.

After all this, I was offered £35 in compensation and I still don’t have the item I ordered.

Never again

Never again. Ordered three pairs of shoes, two were delivered to the correct address, one pair not delivered - contacted customer service who told me that it was my fault because I hadn't provided courier instructions (even though the other pairs were delivered fine)?! They were delivered to another building on my road because whoever sent them entered the wrong address on the label. Now struggling to return two pairs that don't fit, online system doesn't recognise my order number so dealing with customer service again. They also charge for returns!
Update: Following the below message from Carvela I did not receive a request for info, I contacted Trust Pilot and they had no record of it either.

Consistently useless.

I have lost count of the number of times they have stated 'delivery attempted' when I have been in all day - I think it is a lie. I honestly don't know why any reputable company would continue to use them for parcel deliveries.

Depressed, defeated customer service and misleading website.

Several things aren't clear - Waitrose and Waitrose Wine Cellar are separate, gift cards and vouchers are different and the customer service is below the level I've come to expect from John Lewis and Waitrose. I purchased a gift card (via work) to use in the Waitrose Cellar which was rejected because it's not a voucher - even though John Lewis and Waitrose don't sell vouchers any more. E-mailed (still no response a week later), called three times, staff sound depressed and defeated, no attempt at problem solving. I bought my wine elsewhere and have £60 sat on a gift card. Honestly, I don't know why John Lewis and Waitrose are allowing this poor attempt at customer service to damage their brand.

Tesco Travel Money

Tesco Travel Money - attempted to order via the website, screen message to say it was unsuccessful, but still charged me! Called the help number, spoke to two people, both unhelpful. Had to call the bank to resolve this. Used an alternative supplier to order currency.

Regret the day I contacted this company. I didn't buy anything, but have been aggressively contacted ever since by e-mail, telephone, text and WhatsApp several times a day. Do not, under any circumstances, give them your contact info.

Poorly prepared & trained.

First Silent Night delivery, installed an obviously faulty headboard. Second Silent Night delivery - incorrectly installed headboard using my tools because they didn’t have any (how were they going to complete the installation without tools, badly prepared). Had to ask the installers to wash their hands on the second occasion before unwrapping furniture. Clearly not customer service trained and I felt uncomfortable having them in the house. Arrived on time on both occasions.

Not impressed.

I joined in January 2022 via my employer and never received any information from PHC, despite being promised it had been sent several times. After cancelling the cover, PHC declined to refund the full value of the fees, even though I wasn't able to access the full service (because I didn't have any paperwork). Then to add injury to insult they sent me THREE letters telling me I was no longer covered and would I like to transfer my cover to AXA? Which just goes to show that comms aren't a problem where money is at stake. Avoid and remember you have very little recourse for unsatisfactory service via a third party, like an employer.

Fobbed off.

After looking at the TrustPilot reviews I hoped for good things from this company. I e-mailed with a fairly simple problem and got fobbed off with one sentence 24 hours later (although they did use two different colours and fonts - I think it was a cut and paste job). No initiative or suggestions from the nameless person who e-mailed me.

We do also try and keep our replies precise and simple due to volume of enquiries, and most potential customers just want to know if their frame can or can't be repaired.

Excellent service, but overcharged and no post-appointment service.

Visited the Wimpole Street clinic yesterday for travel vaccinations. Good location and nice clinic which ran on-time. Thorough consultation and all the vaccinations were administered there and then. The Dr made me feel confident and told me not to hesitate to contact him if I had any follow-up questions. The pricing was transparent and itemised in an e-mail after the appointment. I wouldn't hesitate to use this service again.
Update 19 Jul 22 - So this was a 5 star review, but I feel the need to reduce it to 4 and add an update. I was overcharged! Which could be an honest mistake but as no one answers my e-mails or the telephone I can't confirm that either way. Also the telephone number on the invoice doesn't connect (bit worrying). Hopefully somone from CityDoc will see this and get back to me, fingers crossed!
Update 01 Aug 22 - I received an e-mail on the 20Jul acknowledging the overcharge and confirming they would refund it. However, due to some oddity in CityDoc's banking system they could not refund the full amount (?!) and I am still awaiting the full refund. I have chased them 3 times via e-mail but no response. I am increasingly wary of a company that appears to have limited administrative support and no working telephone numbers and have reduced my review to 3 stars accordingly.
Update 01 Oct 22: Haven't received the balance of the refund. Will not be using the company again.

This store shouldn't be offering vaccination service.

Visited the Travel Vaccinations & Health Advice Service in Westway Cross Greenford on the 17th May. The pharmacist did my vaccination appointment and signed-off prescriptions at the same time due to constant interruptions from the pharmacy staff. Fairly confident this was a risk to me and those receiving prescriptions, so I politely declined vaccinations and left. I reported this to customer services straightaway, who said they would report it to the store manager. I don't think that this store or the staff are properly setup to offer this service and I wouldn't recommend it.

Very poor service, 2 months to get right!

I had an eye exam on the 1st of Feb at the King's Road shop and ordered two pairs of glasses. The optician was good but the assistant wasn't - she couldn't explain the difference between lenses and I left uncertain I had ordered the best lenses for my prescription. I picked up one pair of glasses on the 9th of Feb. The girl who rang me sounded miserable and didn’t tell me only one pair of glasses were available. When I didn't hear anything, I e-mailed David Clulow on the 1st of Mar, who responded same day, apologising. I picked them up on the 26th of March and was supplied the wrong box, case and cleaning cloth which I realised when I got home. I e-mailed David Clulow, who I chased for a response on the 29th of Mar, and 30th of Mar, who then responded same day, apologising. The Store Manager called me on the 30th, and asked me to return the box, case and cleaning cloth as they belonged to different frames. When I went to the store I had to point out to the optician that the correct box, case and cleaning cloth has been put to one-side for me - I don't think the Store Manager and staff talk to each other. The frames didn't fit and despite adjustments, I left unconvinced. I went to the David Clulow in Westfield White City on 30th of April and the assistant there was an absolute star - he adjusted my frames and explained my lenses and prescription, for which I couldn't thank him enough! Overall, 4 visits over 2 months to the King's Road shop for 2 pairs of glasses seems excessive and I won't be returning there.

Faulty product and unresponsive customer service.

I received a faulty product from Kiehl's that stained my clothes. I have contacted them ELEVEN times and never received a sensible response (now they ignore me). Don't believe the fluffy marketing they don't care about their customers enough to even respond. They also refused to publish my review on their website!

Good nutrition, poor clothing, quick delivery, good customer service.

I ordered MCT oil and protein poweders - these are good. However, the leggings I ordered split the first time I tried them which was a little disappointing, I let Bulk Powders know and they refunded them within hours which is also good. Order arrived quickly.
