Revised offer on my brand new phone?

Received a brand new phone from insurance. Took them a long time to deliver. Already bought another phone to use, hence sending it to reBuy to recycle. Cannot believed my eyes when they email me back saying the phone is scratched. I literally took the phone out of the original box and put it in the box they provided me with. How and where the the scratches come from? Of course I have rejected their revised offer and waiting for them to send me back the phone. If I really see scratches when the phone comes back, I really am going to file a compliant! Someone in their company has slippery fingers and dropped it!?! Maybe?!? All my phones are insured, do you think I will be stupid enough and send you a scratched phone?

They cracked my phone and blamed me!

I sent them an iphone x in perfect condition with proper speck military phone case, they received the phone for nearly 2 days then contacted me saying the phone is cracked! Saying they reduced the buying price from £600 to £140. Asking me to accept it. Of course I wont. They send the phone back to me. I opened the parcel, saw that my phone is obviously cracked on the front screen. The thing is, I have free phone repairs from my bank’s insurance, why will I send them a cracked phone in the first place? Knowing that I will not get the top price for my phone? Am I really that stupid? I bet they received my phone, one of the employee dropped it and they put the blame on me! Also, they refused to send me back my speck phone case saying they have already recycled it! Obviously a very dishonest company! And yes, just to let you know, I have used them a couple of times before, the payment is never the same day as they advertised. Completely dishonest company. My next step is to go to trading standards. Be aware of this company!

Hello Lily,

We're sorry to learn your experience was not positive. As mentioned, when your item was received and tested, it was found that the screen was cracked which deems the item to be faulty rather than in good condition. Because of this, the item was regraded and a revised offer was made. Devices are tested on the condition in which they are received - if you feel the condition of the item had changed, we would need images of the item prior to sending in order to raise a claim.

In the extremely rare occasion where a technician would drop a device, the customer would not be penalised for this as it is beyond their control. In regards to cases or any other accessories, they aren't necessary for the sale so unfortunately, they may be recycled. We apologise that this was not returned to you. Orders are eligible for same day payment provided they are received and completed before 2pm.
