I paid for my washing machine to be plumbed in and the old one to be taken away. My new washing machine took 6 hours to do the quick cycle and I had to move the program on myself to get the cycle to stop and spin. I eventually booked an engineer through a torturous process of WhatsApp messages that took over 4 hours because I couldn't find a date online. The engineer came out, could not replicate the fault and suggested that I was loading it incorrectly. I tried again and the same thing happened. I repeated the torturous booking process again. A different engineer came out and fixed the problem in 5 minutes ... the machine had been incorrectly installed by the Hotpoint engineer and the 2nd engineer hadn't spotted this. My machine works beautifully now. I have tried to find a way to put my complaint in writing to Hotpoint but cannot do so and so I am trying Trustpilot. I am annoyed because I paid for the installation. Clothes have been ruined, more electricity has been used than should have been and more water has been wasted.
