URGENT PUBLIC WARNING: RailOne App & Zomato – Food Not Delivered, Passengers Cheated

I am sharing a very serious and frustrating experience to warn all railway passengers.
On 14th April 2026, while traveling from Dwarka to Mumbai on Saurashtra Express (22946), Coach H1 (Coupe D & E), my son-in-law placed a food order through the government-supported RailOne app, which assigned delivery to Zomato.

Order Details:
Order ID: 2437415586
Items: 2 Butter Chicken + 11 Butter Tandoori Roti
Restaurant: Moti Mahal
Delivery Station: Ahmedabad Junction (ADI)
Delivery Point: Coach H1 gate

❌ SHOCKING FACT: THE FOOD WAS NEVER DELIVERED.

Despite a confirmed order and scheduled delivery at Ahmedabad Junction:
No delivery was made
No proper update or tracking
No support from either RailOne or Zomato
Passengers were left helpless during the journey
This is completely unacceptable and feels like a clear case of cheating and negligence.

RailOne is promoted as a trusted government-backed service, yet:
There is zero accountability
No real-time assistance in a moving train situation

Responsibility is passed between RailOne and Zomato

This is not just inconvenience — for elderly passengers and families, this can become a serious issue.

Strong Appeal:
Immediate action from Railway authorities
Strict monitoring of Zomato deliveries at stations
Proper grievance redressal system for passengers
My Advice to Fellow Travelers: Do NOT depend fully on RailOne-Zomato food delivery

Always carry backup food during train journeys
No passenger should go through this kind of harassment.

Pathetic experience by Zomato. I ordered Egg Masala and after 1 hours application shows order is delivered but i haven’t received order. After contacting Zomato they said ordered can’t be deliver and they will refund. What is point of refund when you are waiting for order delivery for more than hour.

Convenient but sometimes inconsistent

I’ve used Zomato multiple times and overall it’s quite convenient for ordering food. The app is easy to use and there are plenty of restaurant options.

Delivery is usually on time, but occasionally it gets delayed or the order isn’t exactly as expected. Customer support helps, but it can take time sometimes.

Still a good option for quick food delivery.

I recently had a very disappointing experience with my Zomato order. The food I received was not properly cooked, especially the rice, and it lacked both flavor and quality. Despite sharing photos and videos as proof, the customer support team did not handle the issue effectively. I felt like my concerns were not properly heard, and the responses seemed robotic rather than understanding. Offering just ₹10 as compensation for uncooked food is unreasonable. As a Gold member who trusts Zomato for quality service, I expected better support and accountability. I hope Zomato reviews this case seriously, ensures proper food standards from partner restaurants, and improves its customer service experience.

Blatant Scamming Now - Was Previously Great

Used to be a good delivery service that I preferred over Swiggy.

However, from September 2025, Zomato has turned into a very high risk food delivery service. They:
1. Dont have a contact number anywhere on their app or website
2. Customer support does not allow chatting with agents or directly contacting them via phone and instead directs customer to send emails to their order email address. I dont understand how the Indian government even allows this company to run when their not following laws for business to disclose contact info and numbers

I ordered from KFC for Rs.2000 and received 1/4th my order (about Rs.500). Their app tells u to provide snapshots and order ID but even after providing it, they just claimed there is no verifiable evidence and that they wont provide any resolution. Gave them screenshots of entire order, detailed pics of the number of pieces and the restaurant bill but apparently there is no evidence according to zomato which goes completely against the statements made in resolution directions.

I lost Rs. 1500 on an order from this company.
Complete scamming service that I hope people will boycott henceforth. If you read this and still continue purchasing from them, only you are to blame when they tell u that they dont intend to resolve anything for u.

Zomato became a scammer & robber now. There is no service, no helping customer care executives, no proper behaviour. Only looting people by unwanted & extra charges without telling the customer. It is the failure of Zomato bcoz they are aggressively looting customers.

Zomato- scammers

Complete fraud. I ordered a cake and realized i needed the delivery later in the day so i called the bakery to reschedule and they said they can’t help if the order is assigned. I told them i will cancel and reorder. When i canceled i was given no warning that i will not be refunded at all. I got zero refund and no food. Contacting zomato customer service was useless as they did not help at all. I canceled this order within 5 mins of placing it. Complete bs that they can’t refund. Scammers. Stopping using zomato right now

Zomato customer support has ignored my refund request despite multiple emails.

We ordered the food from zomato on Sunday and the delivery agent informed he contacted us however we dint receive any calls and even beyond that the delivery guy has kept the food on road instead of leaving that near the door step or inside the gate and most of all he left in 8 th cross instead of 7 th cross when we got a delivered notification we just ran to check with the image the delivery guy posted but the order was missing if its thrown or road how will the order be there, not sure if the delivery guy took it and ate himself but the order is not with us. Then we tried calling him back again after multiple calls he informed we dint respond actually we did not receive any calls at all okay and language barrier he speaks only in hindi. Tried to connect to customer care but its redirecting to email I am not assigned any agent through chats if I email there is automated reply stating they cant refund. Whose fault it is now who kept food on road that too in 8 th cross rather than 7 th cross. Please refund my amount which I paid 478 Rs. seriously yar!!

Title: Worst Food Experience Ever – Religious Sentiments Deeply Hurt

I am extremely disappointed and genuinely hurt by the experience I had while ordering food through Zomato India from Haldiram's, especially as this was meant to be a special gesture for Father’s Day.

I placed this order from abroad (Ireland), hoping to surprise my family in India with a meal that respects our traditions and beliefs. As Brahmins, we strictly avoid onion and garlic due to religious reasons. I clearly specified this in the order instructions, trusting that it would be respected.

Unfortunately, the food delivered contained both onion and garlic in good quantity, which is a serious violation of our religious practices. This deeply hurt our sentiments and turned what should have been a joyful celebration into a moment of distress and disappointment.

To make matters worse, when we raised a complaint multiple times, Zomato simply responded with a dismissive message: "Sometimes problems like these occur." They then removed our complaint from the platform and closed the issue without any resolution or accountability.

This level of insensitivity and negligence is shocking, especially from a platform as large as Zomato. It reflects a complete lack of cultural and religious awareness, and a failure to handle customer concerns with the seriousness they deserve.

I strongly urge Zomato to take this feedback seriously, and to improve both their vendor vetting and customer grievance handling processes. What happened to us was not just poor service — it was a disrespectful breach of trust and values.

Timely delivery is a strong suit, and while occasional delays happen due to high demand or traffic, my overall experience has been excellent. The ability to view delivery rider ratings and contact them directly adds to the transparency and convenience. For those looking for a dependable food delivery platform, Zomato is a great choice. Highly recommended!

Just don't bother

Ordered lunch March 13th from Zomato, parents are diabetic made us wait for over an hour. Delivery person has lied saying that he has delivered the food probably sat and ate it himself. His excuse was he couldn't find the location despite the address being registered on the account in full detail.

Expect nothing but bad service and complacence. Zero regard to customer and careless behavior.
Going to wait and see if I get a refund but I don't expect anything.
