Tried the tower zip line as a first step to build our confidence (we’re not great with heights!), and it turned out to be such a fantastic experience. The two staff members were absolutely amazing — so patient, friendly, and great at explaining everything, which really helped put us at ease.

They made the whole activity feel fun and safe, and by the end of it we were so glad we gave it a go. It’s the perfect way to ease yourself in if you’re a bit nervous about heights.

Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking about trying it — we’re already planning to go back and take on the bigger Phoenix zipline next time!

An incredible experience. The roller coaster was absolutely perfect, a true once-in-a-lifetime moment. It’s not cheap, but it’s the kind of experience you’ll remember for a long time and completely worth it.

After travelling from Scotland, we found my experience to be deflating. We were booked in for the 14:45 ride today Monday 6th April and after getting took up the mountain and waiting in a queue at the top for half an hour, my wife and I got all our checks and then they told me I was to have 2 parachutes lanyarded to the back of me because I was over the 89kg safe weight, which was very very disheartening as we filled out a disclaimer pre booking and wasn’t,told this a time of booking but yet they still took away my thrill of the experience. My wife and the other three riders were all parachute free which turned out that I was about 150ft behind them and going very slow as the wind blows up the valley where the zip line run is thus making the parachute more like a break than a thrilling experience for myself. I would only recommend this if your weight is below the recommended weight if you are looking for the thrill as with parachutes attached I think you would be lucky to reach 40 mph and not the 77mph that they tell you. Also if you buy the video of your zip line run for £14 you only get it for 30 days then it disappears from your I-cloud and you are not able to send it to yourself so as to keep it for memories (not that I think you’ll want to ) so £14 for 30 days, a bit of a rip off I’d say.

This experience was bought for me for my 70th birthday and on the whole i enjoyed my day, but....don't be tempted to spend another £20 on the video, its a total waste of money on top of the already expensive £120 for the zip wire ride.
The place is amazing with lots of different things to do for kiddies, up to adults. I couldn't fault the staff, they were so helpful and informative and it is run like clockwork. First a briefing, then the harness fitting followed by a short walk to the smaller 40mph zip wire before boarding a huge truck for a 15 minute trip up to the big experience. A few minutes to take photos of the incredible view over the lake that you are about to zip over before entering the building where it all happens.
Then the zip itself which is exhilerating to say the least. A total of between 2.1/2 and 3 hours for the whole thing from the initial briefing, to landing safely on solid land.
Everyone is fitted with a head camera, even if you are not thinking of purchasing the video, which I wasn't until the guy at the side of me said he thought it only cost £6.... yeah right.
So i decided to purchase it when I got back to reception and was billed £20 for a ticket with a QR code which took me to an online site where I entered a 2nd code to get a download video. This is why I've given 3 stars - the video is of your face!!! not the amazing view of the journey in front of you which I expected. What is the point of that????
For that, it should at least have been included in the initial cost of the experience.

Decent rides, but excessive fees and upselling spoil the experience

I recently visited Zip World and overall the rides themselves were decent and enjoyable.
However, the overall experience is overshadowed by what feels like very aggressive upselling and money-driven policies.

One of the most frustrating points was their camera policy. They allow hats and glasses on the ride, but won’t allow you to bring your own action camera, even if it’s properly secured with a body mount. This feels inconsistent and clearly designed to push customers into buying their own paid video packages.

On top of that, when purchasing tickets online, an additional £8 per ticket for footage is automatically added, which you have to manually remove. There is also a £5 booking fee added at checkout, which further increases the total cost.

Pricing also seems to increase the closer you book to your visit date, which feels like surge pricing rather than transparent fixed pricing.

Their refund policy is very restrictive and appears structured in a way that pressures customers into buying extra ticket protection instead of offering reasonable flexibility.

In summary, the rides are fine, but the overall customer experience is let down by constant add-ons, hidden fees, and upselling tactics. It leaves a negative impression that detracts from what could otherwise be a great day out.

We normally go to Go Ape but thought we’d have a change. The safety at the start seemed fine although getting the harnesses on right took ages, they are quite complicated.
However, once up in the trees there is no support, no staff are up there with you. There is also no way to cut short the activity.
Myself and a number of others got into trouble, there was no one other than those other customers around you to help. I came away exhausted and bruised and scared.
When I tried to raise safety concerns I realised that all the staff were really young and no one seemed to have responsibility or be able to contact anyone who was.
I would never recommend this or return.

And loved go karting
Highly recommend day pass, which included videos of all

We haven't laughed so much in AGES!

And a very long drive from home
But totally worth it for the shared memories!

The Zip World instructors make everything feel fun, they were interested, the had great team energy and made us feel safe and excited all day long

We booked a family room less than 10 mins away, Snowdonia Mountain Lodge
And climbed Snowdon the next day (20 minute drive to car book - book in advance!)

I went on the Zipwire across the top of the Principality Stadium, Cardiff. I was extremely nervous and upon arrival I was made very welcome and reassured by Lainey who was on reception. Mark and Alfie the Instructors were very positive and encouraging from the start. We had the safety briefing and throughout the experience we were all checked regularly for tight but comfortable harnesses and asked how we felt. The Instructors were extremely patient, listened to our concerns and reassured us throughout the experience. They were very professional and polite an absolute credit to the company. Nothing was rushed from start to finish and all questions, queries and anxieties were handled amazingly. I highly recommend this experience to others visiting Cardiff. The views from the very top are breathtaking especially on a sunny day, which it was. It was that great I was back the next day for another go!!! Great value for money. There is also a gift shop that I purchased from at the end of the experience. I bought a medal (as it was a great achievement to myself) and a toy dragon as well as a photograph of me ziplining. The lockers for your belongings are free of charge. They also sell drinks.

We visited two zip world sites this weekend to complete the underground golf and forest coaster. Staff were fantastic throughout. Highly knowledgeable and extremely friendly.

Mamie, at the forest coaster-what a great asset you are to Zip world! You explained everything so well and you were so patient with our 10 year old when he was nervous. We can't thank you enough for being so supportive and helping us get him on the ride. He conquered a fear on Friday and I think that had a lot to do with your support- so thank you!!!

Staff at the underground golf- I'm not sure of your names but the gentleman doing the safety briefing before getting inside the cart was great and brought some fun to the experience. Very knowledgeable and open to answer all questions.

And finally, to the gentleman with the ukulele at the end of the golf- thank you for serenading us at the end of our trip and giving your rendition of "when I'm cleaning windows"- what a treat that was and you made the kids eyes light up! Keep doing what you are doing 🤩

We won't hesitate to come back to zip world 10/10- ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ experience!!

Cardiff stadium walk on a sunny spring day awesome day brilliant knowledge and stunning views over cardiff and towards the brecon beacons. We enjoyed a full birds eye view of the pitch watch a bit of rugby in the arms park. The zip and drop finished a perfect day. Massive thanks to all the team at zipworld cardiff we will be back

Absolutely amazing experience, we did all 3 activities and they were so much fun. Excellent value for money. The staff were awesome, especially Mark, Alfie, Maisy and Casey, really friendly and supportive, made the whole experience even better. I will be recommending the Cardiff Zip World to everyone. Nathan and his incredible team deserve gold medals for the truly exceptional service they offer to guests at Tyn-y-Coed.

I stayed here for almost two weeks on business in the area and was treated to a true home away from away.

The welcome I received from Caroline immediately made me comfortable and she truly made every effort to ensure I had the perfect start to my stay.

My room was so comfortable. Room 2 has lovely views as well as the most comfy bed and a sparkling clean bathroom. The area is so quiet all you can hear at night are birds so you are guaranteed a beautiful sleep.

Breakfast is an event. The chefs Sam Andy Simon, and Connor can all rustle up the perfect patched eggs and with Sam, Lea and Caroline on hand to give you the best start to the day - a smile and time to laugh. They are so lovely.

Dinner is jaw droppingly good. I pretty much worked my way around the entire menu and I have included photos. Sunday dinner involved a Yorkshire pudding you could sail a small famill in across the lake of gravy. The brisket just melted.

Each evening I was welcomed by Erin, Carmen, Alex, Freddy, Harry and Dee who all spent time talking and laughing and it was just wonderful to be here and feel such a part of the heart of this glorious destination.

It’s as near as perfect as it gets.

Went to Zipworld yesterday to do Velocity, was nervous as hell as i have a massive fear of heights. Staff were absolutely brilliant and stayed calm (swear they get a kick, out of releasing you though) lol. I didn't think i would enjoy it, yet i had the most amazing time and best experience of my life.

It was such an amazing experience! Ended up actually doing it twice because it was so good. The staff were incredible and the playlist was also suprisingly really good! Would definitely come back and recommend to others.

Fantastic day out. A group of 10 of us did 3 activities from 10am through 4pm and we really lucked out with the weather! Wasn't boring, loved it all. Would go again for sure and rec to friends!
