Emmanuel and Yourdailygerman community sponsored my one-year-membership which was very unexpected in today's harsh capitalist world. I appreciate both his support and his way of inviting people in learning German language. The way he explains it aligns well with my linguist mind. I can see how he goes deeper and truly makes the experience intuitive and also interestingly very analytical too. You should definitely give a chance to his teaching style and remember your memberships and extra pays are not in vain. They enabled a broke student like me start learning German :)

It is a clever method of teaching German, original and guided by common sense, which makes easier to learn and remember. The author is really valuable and his lessons are whorty.

I have subscriptions to two other more-famous German language learning apps and find them both useful, but Yourdailygerman is undoubtedly the best. Especially if you find language interesting, and want to understand what's going on behind the grammar and vocabulary. The lessons I've looked at so far take one topic and provide enough background and examples that you feel like you're expanding your knowledge, not just trying to memorize confusing words, grammar, and sentence structure. Big bonus, a chance to hear how sentences should be pronounced and how you pronounce them! Emanuel's approach is casual and fun, but the tests help you track your progress as if you were in a serious German class. Highly recommended unless the occasional jokes about drinking beer and smoking weed would make you uncomfortable.

This is a really excellent site for learning German. Emanuel is dedicated to his users. The subscription is great value for money.

This is a SUPERB language learning website. While it does not offer experience in spoken German (you can find that elsewhere), it does everything else to teach you the language, not merely from rote memorization, but from learning the bones of the language - how it fits together and why, cultural cues about everyday usage, mnemonics, etc. Emanuel has an excellent sense of what a learner needs to know to be able to build on their knowledge and how to approach new vocabulary. I have been a subscriber for 2 years, and have been impressed with his continual addition of new features and new ways to learn and practice. He is active in the comments section and responds to individual emails as well. I'm at B1-B2, and see that quite skilled learners are engaged with his posts and challenges. And it's fun as well!

Great intro to articles for reading practice. Explanations in English and also good examples.

A great, helpful and entertaining website for German-learning. Access to information, hints and tips, quizzes to practise..... The arrangement of topics is good and easy to find your way through. Links between articles are helpful; suddenly you find you've spent more time trying to improve than you'd planned. Enjoyable way to brush up your German.

Excellent learning tool. Very useful info on current German usage, plus helpful ways to remember via quizzes etc, with a dollop of humour thrown in.

Great site, I subscribed for a couple years and now got the lifetime subscription. I especially like the way Emanuel takes the trouble to explain the roots of the words and how/why the word came about. Just having a little background of that helps me remember the word.

Yes, this site is a blog, but it is so much more than that. Emanuel is always adding more features and content. If you are learning German this is a site you really should not miss, because there are so many helpful learning tools.
