In most cases where emails don’t appear in the inbox, they may have been filtered by the email provider, so we kindly ask that you check your spam or junk folders. You have to do quite a lot before you have got something you can actually use in a shop - not like the old book tokens.

Website seems like a complete scam. I was given a YouChoose gaming voucher for Christmas which I have to spend on this website. I add a game to my basket but every time I try to complete purchase I am told the game is unavailable and cannot proceed further...

I really didn’t like that the voucher…

I really didn’t like that the voucher needed to be registered online. I had some difficulties doing this as the code wasn’t accepted and instead of chatting to a person I ended up with AI going round and round in circles. I would not choose a voucher again for anyone.

Thank you for the response. The customer service option during 9-5 was unavailable despite trying to contact at mid day.

This also allows you to track your orders in your account area and enables our customer support team to assist more efficiently should any account‑related queries arise.

We can also see from our records that your YouChoose credit was successfully exchanged for a Sainsbury’s digital code, which indicates that everything is now in order. We’re sorry that registering your voucher didn’t go smoothly initially, as we appreciate this can affect the overall experience.

Our customer support team is available and highly responsive Monday to Friday, 9am–5pm, and we always recommend reaching out during these hours if you need direct assistance from one of our advisors. Outside of these hours, we offer a chatbot and Help Centre articles to support customers with troubleshooting more common queries.

NOT EASY TO REDEEM

I had a lot of trouble redeeming my gift card. For some reason when I put in the code it was rejected as invalid. I tried several times with no success. I contacted the Help line by email and was told there was nothing wrong with the pin and it should work. I tried again ,twice, but with no success. It was only after having copied and pasted the code from the email that it suddenly worked. The whole process of having to first set up an account then entering a password and the code from the gift card was tedious - I lost count of how many squares I had to tick off to prove I wasn't a robot 🙄 on my phone the squares and pictures were very small and hard to see - even with my glasses on 😬 the next step is having to trawl through quite a few companies to see where you want to redeem your voucher for another voucher from the company of your choice. All in all a very tedious procedure and not recommended for those with limited patience 🤨

We do always advise customers to enter the voucher code carefully, as some characters can look very similar (for example, O and 0, I and 1, or S and 5). YouChoose does require setting up an account and registering the card before redemption. This is because it’s designed as a multi‑retailer gift card, allowing you to choose from a wide range of brands and, if you wish, split your balance across multiple retailers.

To much of a faff to use have to register to use and pick where you want before you go to spend them , didn't realise this when was given sometimes its nice to decide on the spot where to spend ,better of getting all4 1 voucher easier to use.

When retailer card came through said e-card excluded from online purchases. Defeats object as can't use online. Waste of time and card value.
You Choose's response to this not acceptable. Clarks t&c's state you can spend your gift card online, but they are refusing to exchange because I bought through You Choose who have effectively changed Clark's t&c's. It is not good enough to say I should have known this would happen before I bought. Where are the t&c's that would have pre warned me about this? You Choose should be offering an apology, full refund+ some compensation for the inconvenience this has caused.

I found the initial logging on…

I found the initial logging on difficult it kept taking me back to the beginning 🙃
I eventually got signed on and up and ready . It was very easy and quickly to reply with emails etc

Not Easy

I went online to choose the store that I wanted to spend the £30 gift, I went step by step to Pick New Look, I thought this was okay but when I was at the till with my purchase the assistance said there was something further I had to do, this lovely person went online and also struggled to sort this but then said I should now receive an email showing a Barcode to allow me to purchase my goods, but this didn’t come through, I therefore had to leave my goods and go home. About 6 hours later I then received an email with the Barcode, all too late as I do not live near the store. I found this process very difficult and frustrating and will advise friends not to purchase this kind of voucher.

As YouChoose is a multi‑retailer gift card, it does need to be exchanged online for a specific retailer voucher before it can be used at the till. Once the exchange is completed, the final step is to check out to generate the brand‑specific voucher (such as a barcode), which is then emailed to you.

We completely understand how disappointing it must have been to leave your items behind and travel home before the voucher arrived. I was in the store

I was in the store.
Decided this was the place where I saw something I would like and therefore, could use the gift card from my family. So i went through the process of registering etc.....
Waited for my email..... and waited.... left the store... drove home 60 minutes.... 5 hours later email arrived...
Not good enough.... sorry.
Why so long to send an email..... Now I am committed to that store and its not convenient to return.

Awful

Awful, avoid at all costs. Voucher was incredibly difficult to use, website would often keep logging me out as I was trying to use the voucher. This was a gaming voucher and the games were ridiculously expensive. Would give it zero stars if possible.
