Have to say I’ve been underwhelmed with the rowing machine I purchased from XP Fit for a number of reasons. Firstly, the machine took 10 days to arrive, and when it did, the courier company made me take it off the lorry then left me to try and get it in the house by myself (it’s a very big parcel, 2m in length). The packaging was poor, extra pieces of cardboard taped on to cover torn/broken cardboard underneath. Upon opening the box the machine looked half decent, although I quickly noticed all the stickers on the machine were written in Chinese, not ideal for a machine being sold in the UK. When I eventually found the “instructions” they had clearly been translated into pigeon English and weren’t much help either. Through trial and error I managed to work out how to fill the machine and adjust the resistance, etc but it has been frustrating. The computer is useless, except for the timer on it. But that’s only when it isn’t turning itself on and off again, which is every few minutes. Another annoyance is the rubber stopper at the end of the machine to help it stand up right when not in use is far too short so the machine ends up leaning into the room, unless you prop it up with something else like I’ve had to. The machine itself is an okay fluid rowing machine, very basic but does what it needs to without any problems. It’s not worth the £425 half price amount I paid, let alone supposedly £850. I have contacted XP Fit regarding the issues but they have been very dismissive of it all. My advice, look elsewhere for a fluid rowing machine than this one. Also to note, I left a review of the product on their website which has never been published, seems they are purposely excluding reviews that aren’t anything other than 5 stars.

Great piece of kit and a very good service with friendly people

Extremely pleased with the service! Every one of my questions and concerns was addressed in a timely fashion. I reserved my machine in advance and despite some delays, they were upfront and handled everything well. To be fair, the pre-order delay issue seems to be common with all gym equipment nowadays. The important thing is that everything arrived OK and the gear is extremely solid.

I was a little apprehensive to buy as there is very little information about the company, but they offered the best price for rubber tiles, which I needed for my garage gym. I messaged them on FB and got a very fast response to all my queries, which gave me confidence to try them out. So glad I did - aside from very competitive pricing during the current climate of goods shortage, they also shipped everything quickly, and I'm extremely happy with the quality. Will buy again in the future and recommend to others.
