I just bought a Kirk Hammett V ESP from them and it took me writing a bad review to get a simple answer to a simple question so Im changing my initial review with some advice to the company. Make sure your sales and online chat people know what they are talking about all I wanted to know was why my item had a 2023 serial number and through chat all your agents told me was basically that was the luck of the draw if they had told me it was a limited run of the guitar I would have been great that makes sense I almost returned this because of rude chat agents that have no idea what they are telling people.

Told me they were sending a brand new $1500 unit. I paid for overnight shipping to get it quickly and it came used with a cable that had been switched out, was not able to power on the unit. Can’t get a replacement for the cable anywhere. Bottom line they were trying to pass off a used unit as a new one and hoping I would just take it. This is a common practice with them.

I've bought probably close to $10,000 worth of stuff over the years. Great place, great customer service. Quick shipping too. One time an item went on sale or price lowered by $200 and they refunded me no issues.

Their customer service is incredible!
I've used sweet water for years and my sales rep was the only person I enjoyed talking to and sometimes I had a hard time getting a hold of him. zZound's customer service is friendly and informative no matter who you talk to.
Wednesday I ordered a pair of HS8's. They got here Friday. Friday night I called Customer Service and told them that the speakers were way too big for my space. They immediately sent me a return label. Saturday morning I took them to FedEx, and they had the HS5's on my doorstep Tuesday morning.
You have gained a new customer for sure. I'm a DJ out of Milton, FL. I've been DJing for the last 16 years and zZounds is my new home for all my business needs.

First and foremost the first thing I noticed was the associate Jeff treated me with courtesy and respect. That is very important to me. Secondly he was extremely knowledgeable in the instrument that I was going to purchase. He made sure I understood the cost of the instrument and the final cost with the tax included. Made very sure he had the delivery address correct. To my surprise the instrument was delivered the very next day. I will go to ZZ sounds for any future purposes of my musical supplies I will need. Make sure you read the small print of the contract or you'll be like me having to postpone it mom cancer treatment because they as in zzsounds forced a transaction to get money out of ur account and overdrew it by 600 to pay off equipment and nothing in this world they cared they didn't but they was happy they got there money but I'm here mom has to wait for me to build up my mom again cause I'm negative 600. Also besides the regards to payments the email that was on file didn't have any attempts to reach out to me but of course they did no harm. They was blunt on the phone while I'm telling them about my account and they say well ur account is paid in full now. They're happy

EDIT/ ADDITION: Read their response. Total garbage. Sold me a faulty guitar, then dodged any and all return potential. They are the pawn shop of music stores and deserve to go bankrupt.

Zzounds charged my card 5 separate charges of $120.37 after they denied me when I applied to finance a guitar.
I called zzounds and asked them to reverse their mistake and they told.me no.
I asked for the owners contact info, customer service refused to give names or contact info.
They took more than $600 from me that I never authorized and I dont have a guitar to show for it either!

I returned a Jackson guitar that cost a grand. It was subpar, there were stickers on the tuners that said Jackson. Stickers? It wouldn't intonate, sounded crappy, and had other really cheap parts. The box it came in was nothing less than a gigantic puzzle, and I'm not too shabby with a puzzle. So, I call to get some tips on the best way to ship this guitar back. Not a word. I tried two more times and then the return policy was coming due. I packed it very well, making sure the headstock had the styrofoam cover and the rest had plenty of bubble wrap that it had come in, and then some. I get a picture in an email of this guitar, being held by an employee, with the headstock smashed to crap. With the ZZounds packing slip, graciously given by the company, there wasn't an option for insurance. So, they then black ball me. For returning TWO guitars that came back to them all banged up. I only returned one of the two guitars I bought, one a really nice Schecter Reaper Elite that has a few issues, but it's not built like a paper gujtar like the Jackson. They black balled me while buying strings. For real ? That's where they make money, not off of guitars, but in the little things that go with the guitar. Four counts of bad service in one transaction. No insurance offer, blame the customer and not UPS, black ball me when I'm buying the money maker, and lying about how many guitars I had returned. Talk about dumb and dumber.... Then even dumber and dumberer still!
