I just received a pair of Tory Burch sandals, which I returned immediately. The shoes appeared to have been worn multiple times. There were visible scratches and wear marks on the soles, and the toe box looked damaged, as if they had been used 3–4 times. I’m very disappointed and will not be ordering from Zappos again. I understand the same sandals cost over $100 more on the Tory Burch website, but for shoes priced over $200, receiving a used pair is simply unacceptable.

I ordered ergonomic shoes on June 19th. The site showed the size and style I wanted in stock. After my order I received a confirmation email, stating my order would arrive June 26th. No correspondence from them again until the day the shoes should be arriving, June 26th. That morning I get an email that my order has been cancelled because they can't fulfill it and they're sorry and blah blah blah. Normally I'd be fine receiving that email, I understand supply issues happen. HOWEVER, If the shoes were supposed to ARRIVE on the 26th, then they knew DAYS before that, that they couldn't fulfill my order. I should have received an email as soon as they knew. And now they say my refund will arrive in 2-10 business days. So now I have to wait to even shop elsewhere because they held my money for a week knowing full well they couldn't send the item. And now they get to hold it longer while I wait for the refund. I'm beyond disappointed. Don't order from here.

Zappos/Amazon is shipping expensive shoes in plain brown boxes, with no packaging, and claiming that the original box was damaged, so they put them in this brown box. I ordered a $150 pair of leather shoes, that arrived just tossed into a brown box. No tissue, no packaging whatsoever. With Amazon's reputation for selling knockoff goods, I cannot trust that these were even genuine brand name shoes. I will no longer purchase any shoes from Zappos as this is the second time I've had this brown box experience. They used to be great. Now they're just another Amazon disaster.

Received a clearly used pair of shoes / returns that are not in new condition. For a pair of white shoes with white outsoles, the outsoles were already blackened from wear, and there is even grass stuck in the treads of the outsole. No quality control at all.

Been doing business with Zappos for over 15 years spending thousands of dollars (yes, I know thousands on shoes). Last order, got two, kept one and replaced 2nd pair with a different color paid for separately. Now, even though they acknowledged the return May 16, they're telling me my refund will show up June 16th because without telling a long time customer about their policy change, they just did it blowing their whole business model up. I have too many choices for this to be at all acceptable, like the package I dropped off at UPS for return to Amazon, credited as soon as the package was picked up by the driver at the UPS store. Zappos just lost a VIP customer and a great referral source. No more!
Complete scam! They claim to accept returns 365 days a year but don’t tell you if it is after 30 days you WILL NOT receive your Amazon credit back. Just returned a pair for my 2025 credit, brand new in the box and was told I won’t be receiving my credit because it’s been more than 30 days.

Bought two pairs of shoes. Order went good, price was good, everything was good. They shipped a couple of days later. Still no problems. They make it to an Amazon warehouse 1 hour from my house at 1am on estimated delivery day. I get up at 6am and check the tracking and all it says is package is undeliverable and will be sent back to sender. I texted customer support and told them I will come and pick them up at the Amazon warehouse. They told me that is not possible and the shoes are already being returned to zappos warehouse and I will receive a refund when and if the shoes come back. Like I had something to do with this! My money should be returned immediately as they shoes never even went out for delivery. I asked why, and zappos never even bothered to answer me. I will never use zappos again.

I have always loved Zappos and have always had a good experience. I used to order a lot but my needs have changed. At any rate, the fewer experiences I have had are still good. In these days of hacking I wouldn't mind if they protected my account.

I placed an order for shoes. The order seemly went through but was cancelled (I see that this has happened to others as well). I called to understand why my order was cancelled as was told there didn't seem to be a reason, however, I would have to reorder the shoes unless I wanted to register an account. Why Zappos needs me to have a registered account before it will sell to me, instead of allowing me to purchase as a guest, is unclear. I went elsewhere to make the same purchase with no problem. I'll never use Zappos again.

I tried to order a pair of shoes from Zappos.com, but after completing the payment process, I received an email saying my order was canceled and my account has unusual activity.I couldn't log in and I have no idea what reason. Then I used my husband's credit card to do another order, and his order also got cancelled.
I ended up buying the same shoes from another website in less than a minute — no issues. Extremely disappointing. I do not recommend shopping on Zappos unless you enjoy delays, poor customer service, and a lot of wasted time.

I ordered shoes and they charged my paypal account. The next day I get an email from paypal that says: "You approved an order to Zappos.com LLC on April 16, 2025 for $76.45 USD. Zappos.com LLC has updated the total amount of your transaction. Your new total is $81.61 USD. See below for details.". Zappos never contacted me. Never told my WHY they were charging me. They just increased my bill AND they did not include the extra insoles in the shoes that EVERY other pair included.

Zappos used to be an awesome store that truly cared about customers and employees. Since Amazon bought them it has gotten worse and worse. I was Zappos VIP when all they were selling was shoes. My last shoe order has almost a full week until delivered and there were no other shipping choices. When I called there were no other options and she said it takes as long as it takes to ship. My guess is since this is Amazon and no longer Zappos these shoes are no longer in NV or KY. It seems like this whole business was outsourced. I would find somewhere else to spend your money :'(
I have bad experience with Zappos they used to sent wrong items that happened with me two times the last time they sent me completely different wrong items only the same brand from what i ordered and they refused to refund my money this completely their wrongs . From last October until now i tried several times to contact with them
I bought $100 pair of jeans through amazon because they require it for work. Their website says you have 365 days to return anything and even in their policy if unworn. Put the clothes away to return later. 45 days later i return them. They wont issue my refund since im an amazon employee they only get 30 days. And their keeping the pants.

Bought a TUMI suitcase and one wheel broke off. Now I need to present a proper invoice (PDF document) to TUMI Service Center to be able to have the suitcase repaired but Zappos cannot send one.

I dropped off 2 returns to UPS with scan codes - because companies do not believe in allowing the customer to print a label themselves, somehow UPS mixed up the returns and 2 pair of Ugg Tazz were sent back to Zappos instead of a pair of pants. Zappos now claims that they do not inventory returns because they have multiple warehouses that they share with Amazon so they will not send me back the items that UPS mistakenly sent to them, claiming that they sell those items, so they were put into their inventory. I don't know how a company of this size does not scan, and inventory returns, but now I am out $260 because of a mistake from UPS that no one will take accountability for.

Absolutely horrible and inexcusable experience. Ordered a WOMAN’s boot in size 9 and received a MEN’s shoe in size 12; no where close to what I ordered. Tried to resolve it by their chat, the person stopped responding. Tried to call, the person stopped talking and had me muted but wouldn’t respond. Finally got someone the second time I called. The person I spoke to on the phone said it was possibly an inventory issue because they no longer had the shoe in my size. So you send a totally different shoe, wrong size and wrong gender??? Disgusting business practice. I will NEVER order from here again. Buyer beware of this scam!!
