Did what it said it would do on the, er, jars

I recently ordered a large 25L glass carboy (for wine-making) from World of Bottles. For some time, I'd been putting off ordering such an item through the post due to concerns about breakage before finally deciding to give it a go. Unfortunately, when the carboy arrived, although unbroken, there were reasons to think it had taken a heavy glancing blow on the top of its neck. Concerned it might now have a stress fracture that could fail anytime in the future, I e-mailed World of Bottles, with photographic evidence, explaining what I thought had happened and requested a replacement. To my pleasant surprise and relief, they replied promptly indicating a replacement had been sent out. This duly arrived safe and sound.
Based on this experience I can only say I'd be very happy to order glassware again from World of Bottles, and would thoroughly recommend them to others thinking of doing the same.

Easy to use online ordering, good range of Wek jars and sent quickly.

Ordered some bottles for a project, they showed as having 3 of the matching stoppers so I ordered additional stoppers of a different type to make up the shortfall. After the order was placed they had removed the 3 stoppers from the order. When I queried it they said they were no longer in stock so I asked for them them to adjust the amount for the other stoppers and add 3. Next thing I know I received an email saying they cancelled my order and refunding me due to not having the 3 original stoppers and couldn’t adjust the other 7 - did not even ask me if I wanted to cancel. Haven’t said when I will receive the refund and have had to send them yet another email to find out. TERRIBLE customer service would give zero stars if I could

*UPDATE* They have resolved my issue by reversing the cancellation and are offering me an alternative so it’s only fair I give credit where credit is due. Amending my rating to reflect. Thank you Valerie 5*

Totally stumbled upon this company looking to buy a few Weck jars.
We have grown rapidly and now are an importer of these products but it would have been impossible with out the fantastic service of WOB. They can scale up to any quantity and even handled our import certification transition.
Their logistics is second to none with live tracking, regular updates and accurate predictions of delivery.

On the one occasion we received some damaged stock due to 3rd party involvement they immediately took ownership of the situation and remedied the problem at speed.
Really can’t find any fault with this company at all.

Everything ordered came as scheduled. The bottles were totally fit for purpose.

One christmas tree bottle had broken, which was a shame, but the rest were great and the bottles were nicely made. The designs of the novelty ones were appealing and the detail had come out well

When a company's search result titles them as World of Bottles UK, and their web address is .co.uk, you may be forgiven for not realising that your order will be shipped from Germany. This information is available, along with the 5-10 days additional wait, but you really have to look for it; they make great play of their 1-2 days despatch time, while keeping quiet about transit times.

When the order didn't turn up, I went back to the DPD tracking info and it had been returned to sender, having failed customs because they put the wrong weight on it. I got no notification, no communication, no refund, no redispatch - they just kept the bottles, kept the money, kept quiet.

So now my lovingly grown, carefully crafted sauce is destined for the compost. Galling as that is, I might have offered 2 stars for the failure of delivery and communication - mistakes happen. But they've knocked themselves down to 1 by disingenuously masquerading as a UK company.

Good selection of bottles available. Really well packaged with a cardboard lattice. This is an improvement in the past bundle wrap was insufficient.

The order had a damaged item but the customer service was excellent in resolving the issue. Really happy customer, would definitely use again.

Totally amazing website. I have the most amount of pickled veg in amazing bottles. From all over the world. Love this website and all the different types of jars and bottles there are. I had a problem with my previous order that jars arrived broken. In due course I was given a full refund. I placed another order which arrived safely. I felt that the previous box was poorly packed, this contributed to the breakage. I have ordered several times and the packaging has always been fantastic, as was this last order. My only frustration is the time it takes from order to delivery with packages appearing to stay for a long time in the hands of DHL in Germany.
