This was my second time booking a tour with Sonia and it was excellent yet again. Sonia made sure that we got to taste some of the great food on offer in Lisbon whilst also giving us a good overview of the history of the places we visited. I would recommend this tour and any of the other tours that Sonia is the guide for.

Serena gave my oldest son, who is 11, and me such an enjoyable way to experience Naples. We had a fun and memorable time exploring the city on foot, learning about its history, and tasting delicious Neapolitan food along the way. Naples felt vibrant and full of energy, and even with the rain, Serena helped us discover hidden gems that made the experience feel personal and special. This tour was a wonderful mix of culture, food, and atmosphere, and I would absolutely recommend both Serena and The 10 Tastings of Naples to anyone visiting the city.

Deniss took us to places in Boston which you just won't see if you only do a bus tour. We gained a real sense of the history of Boston, but also Deniss took us to hidden gems - the most charming book store, to a hotel where Charles Dickens lived for several years where we tasted the original Boston Cream Pie, to the oldest street in Boston (cobbled) - just a few of the sites we came across during our guided tour with Deniss. We enjoyed it very much and Deniss is very knowledgeable.

We, 4 of us, had a great time with Lucie, she showed us different food options from cafes, typical of what the locals may eat. Lucie took the time to show us a great view of Prague from Letenský zámeček, pointing out various landmarks which helped us during the following days. The tour was rounded off with beer and appropriate snacks and directions to our Tram stop. Throughout the tour Lucie was aware of one of our number being a slow walker and made sure she was included. Lucie is very knowledgeable about her country and is happy to discuss the history of Prague. Highly recommended as a guide.

We had the pleasure of experiencing a truly special city tour with Amaru today – one that left a lasting impression on us. With great passion, dedication, and a very personal approach, he introduced us to his city, Buenos Aires. His enthusiasm is evident in every moment, as is his deep connection to this fascinating place. What we appreciated most was that Amaru took us to places we would never have discovered on our own. These hidden gems made the tour truly unique. Amaru is an exceptionally warm and kind person with a big heart. We are very grateful to have shared this experience with him. Our afternoon with Jose was truly a fantastic, trip-defining experience of our visit to Valencia. From the first moments where Jose walked us around his neighborhood a bit, told us about the city, his connection to it, how he got started in cooking to doing the entire class in his charming kitchen, every moment made us feel more immersed in the city. Jose is both a talented cook and a gifted teacher, explaining how and why things are done and then happily offering each person in your group of a chance to play a part in putting the meal together. His hospitality is superlative, thoughtfully having a local aperitif, wines to any taste, and a full stocked and prepared fridge. And the food: Jose is a FANTASTIC cook. Easily one of the best meals we had in Spain, and his list of recipes he provided as a parting gift leave us excited to see more of his talent and culinary vision. Cannot recommend highly enough, if you're going to Valencia and enjoy cooking, you owe it to yourself to spend an afternoon with Jose.

Piyaporn was a lovely friendly guide with excellent English and expert local knowledge on this interesting Bangkok tour that took in markets, temples and much more (Highlights and hidden gems). We would highly recommend Piyaporn and this half day tour

We spent the day with Thomas yesterday from airport pickup to evening check-in at our downtown hotel. He had a comfortable van and saved us immediately from the cold with hand warmers! We visited the DMZ at the pace that we prefer which is to move past larger groups! Very interesting history! We then had a delicious and very Local lunch which included fern and river snails among the dishes! Actually excellent! ( there were less exotic options) After seeing a vista of the city which is so expansive, we concluded with a tour of the royal palace which is also a don't miss even if you think you have seen too many palaces! All along the way Thomas took memorable photos of us . We appreciated that he knew the best places ! A big thanks to Thomas for making our short stay in Seoul a great memory! A note here.. we had only a short time in Seoul so we were willing to pay a premium to maximum our experience. We appreciated being able to time this visit and what we saw!

Ouidad was excellent. Cheerful, very friendly, very knowledgeable and spoke great English. We had an excellent three hours with her and she dropped at a very good restaurant called Nomad at the end of our tour. Thoroughly recommend as a guide.

Anna gave us a wonderful tour of Vienna - we have lots of lovely memories from our guided walk - great knowledge of the history and culture of Vienna and fantastic ideas for the rest of our trip - thanks so much Anna!

The city tour with Miha was perfect. Miha showed us the city with all the important points, explained, the history, the development and much more. He is a friendly guide who has a lot of experience and knowledge of the city. We got to know Berlin perfectly on the tour. The tour is highly recommended and the price-performance ratio is very good. Anytime again when we are in Berlin.

June understood exactly what we wanted out of our time with her and she took us to many charming, uncrowded spots that we would have never found or gained access to on our own. We visited interesting places, got the inside track on where to shop and enjoyed great local food. The cherry on top was a visit to a Durian place. She picked out the perfect fruit for us to share - so delicious!!! Her driver was top notch. He navigated the crazy traffic (the day before Nyepi) and got us where we needed to go safely and quickly. Withlocals features many guides but you won’t find one better than June. Book with her, you will have a memorable time!

My husband and I really enjoyed our experience with Seth! He was right on time, very professional, and made everything feel easy and well organized from the start. What truly stood out was his incredible knowledge of history — he explained everything in such an engaging and insightful way, which made the whole experience even more meaningful. At the same time, he was genuinely fun to be around, striking the perfect balance between informative and entertaining. We asked so many questions, and he answered every single one with patience and enthusiasm. Seth was an absolute delight, and we would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a fantastic guide!

I had limited time on my own in Paris after a group tour. I knew I had certain pieces in the Louvre that I really wanted to see and having a guide would ensure that I could best manage my time without searching needlessly on my own. Booking with Bibiana was the best decision! She communicated clearly through the whole process and I had no trouble meeting her in front of the museum. She expertly walked me through the museum teaching me about its history from seeing its battlements as originally a fortress, through becoming a palace and then a museum. She taught me how to look at certain pieces, ensuring I saw my "must sees" while teaching me what to look at in many other pieces. The tour felt curated especially for me, personal, expert and so worth every penny! I highly recommend Bibiana for your tour, you won't regret it.

We really enjoyed our Old Town Phuket tour with Pathu. Her passion and enthusiasm for sharing her heritage and history were really enjoyable. Her suggestion for lunch at Punte Local & Street Food was excellent. Thank you Pathu.

Our tasting tour in Puerto Vallarta was absolutely fantastic! Maria was our guide and not only was she extremely knowledgeable about the food and restaurants that we visited, she also shared interesting facts about the history and important landmarks. We enjoyed a variety of food (not just tacos) and walked through many areas of Centro and the Romantic Zone. This was such a wonderful experience and I can’t recommend Maria enough. A perfect start to our vacation! 🤩

We had a tasting tour with Maria in PV and it was amazing! Come hungry because there is a lot of great food to take in. This was such a wonderful way to spend the day and see some local sights as well. Maria is so attentive and happy to change things up to accommodate. We had a baker in the group so she managed to squeeze in a local bakery stop as well!! HIGHLY Recommend!!

Strange review but... never got on the tour as the war broke out in the Middle East and we couldn't get to Thailand from Dubai. I was expecting a load of grief trying to get a refund as we had paid in advance. After one email, the company were brilliant and paid back the money within a day. Outstanding customer service and I would definitely use them again.

We have done several tours with With Locals over the years and I can honestly say they have all been great! As we have a school aged child we really like the flexibility that private tours offer, and the guides are always top notch. Today we did a city walking tour in Hanoi with Tuyen that was marketed as 'family friendly' and it did not disappoint! Everyone had a wonderful experience and we're looking forward to the next one in a few days.

Wir hatten mit Du eine großartige Führerin, die uns alles in bestem Englisch erklärte. Nicht Zuviel und nicht zu wenig. Die Tour war sehr informativ. Auch Hintergründe wurden beleuchtet. Sie ging auf unsere Wünsche ein .
Alles in allem eine super schöne Führung durch Hue.
Am Schluss wurde sie von uns noch zum Essen eingeladen. Für unseren weiteren Tagesablauf gab sie uns noch einige gute Tipps und besorgte uns noch einen Fahrer.
