Wickes - York Omdömen 

I am 71yrs old and went to York Wickes for 2 bags of cement and 3 bags of sand all 25kgs. Adam the staff member was so friendly and found out I needed sharp sand not kiln dried, put them on the trolley and also loaded them into the car for me. What great service thanks !

This is my 2nd kitchen I have. bought from Wickes,The first one lasted 26 years and to be fair there was not much wrong with it, apart from I had had it 26 years and fancied a change.
We have just finished putting our 2nd kitchen in and I am over the moon with it. Not one piece was missing when it was delivered and Chris Fryer the sales man from Wickes could not have been more helpful,even calling to see how it was coming along when in the area designing for another customer. I would highly recommend buying a kitchen from Wickes. They are very reasonably priced too.

Came in to buy some screws and couldn’t find them so asked one of your colleagues who not only showed me where they were he helped me to find the correct size. Thank you to Calum he was very helpful and a polite young man.

We visited Wickes in York yesterday for a kitchen design, Josh was our designer and he was great from start to finish obviously we had ideas of our own but logistically it wouldn’t of worked because of our dimensions but Josh adapted it to the best of his ability to cater for what we were looking for. Definitely recommend using them

Wickes supplied doors to my joiner. One of the doors was so poor quality that you could see through one of the knots but only when fitted. Although wickes suppliers honoured their guarantee to replace the door, Wickes would not fund the refitting cost leaving me with the prospect of paying twice for this.
Not sure if customer service is just AI as they provide encouraging response only to come back later and say no. Would not recommend using this company.

I wanted to order a few bits as a present for a friend, online ordering & payment couldn't have been easier - delivery is a nightmare, the order was split into two & both original delivery dates were missed - a simple gift turned into multiple emails & hours of waiting around. Delivery was arranged for Tuesday & at this point, Friday - only half of it is there.

Josh completely understood my reason for considering a kitchen replacement. He was very friendly and thorough and gave me confidence that you can deliver the kitchen to make my life much easier within my budget.
I now need to make an appointment to visit the showroom to make my choice and discuss a plan. I’m very impressed with your response so far and look forward to meeting with Josh in York showroom

Visited the store last night around 19;15. Staff were incredibly helpful and a real pleasure to converse with. Young man - I regret I can’t remember his name (4 letters; Adam?!!) very tall - well over 6’ & showed me his bike! - offered to put heavy bags of slate in my car. He even pushed the trolley out of the store for me. As I left smiling, I thought, “I’ve spent over £50 at Wickes but I never expected to enjoy myself so much!” You know why? Because the young staff are so engaging and helpful. Highly recommend and well done to them!

Adam has incredible customer service friendliness and helpfulness, what a treat to be help by such a lovely person. Gloria on the till was also lovely. I met the dream team today :)

I've given up following up my issues with them to save my mental health. Please don't use Wickes for your bathroom installation.

If you need a new kitchen designing and you doing a diy fit I highly recommend Wickes products we have recon fitted a new bespoke and lifestyle kitchen and utility room. The units do come flat pack which I want aware of. However, they’re very easy to put together and very strong once fitted. If you go for a bespoke I highly recommend asking for Josh it’s rare I write a good review. However, Josh deserves a mention he was outstanding from start to finish. Through no fault of his package were missed off the deliveries of our units. A quick to Josh and he was on it with apologies and quick fix.
Your delivery service is a little off track I want happy d attitude if delver staff and lack of paper to check items and they left a huge package at the van for my elderly father in law to carry.

Wickes, Josh, your bespoke designer at York needs some appreciation please, he is a credit to your company.

Excellent service from Chris Fryer over at Clifton Moor York who took the time to come out and measure up for our new kitchen and then sat down with us to design a kitchen with us going over every detail, good to speak to someone who knew the trade and was very thorough.

Efficient and friendly service

Complete disaster from start to end.

Wickes contracted with us the delivery and installation of a new bathroom. Their appointed contractor materially failed to deliver the agreed specification with several elements simply not installed, waste not removed from site and, over 7 weeks delay from agreed delivery date. Despite over 6 months chasing Wickes to remedy the over-charged sums for elements not fitted (6 x isolator switches, screed floor, removal of door) as well as compensation for the 7 weeks delay whilst the bathroom was unusable and we had a series of builders needing access, Wickes finally today advised that “their contractor is not their responsibility and, I should address my claim direct to them.. read the small print on page 4!!”… I cannot describe how cheated I feel by Wickes. This was disaster from day 1 when the contractor sought to withdraw from the project but, Wickes persuaded him to remain providing their own plumber who had never worked with the contractor. Wickes have proven to be entirely elusive only now stating their position after 6 months of calls and emails

We looked at a number of places for our new kitchen and we decided to go with Josh at Wickes York. The service and advice for him was outstanding and made us feel comfortable with the design and spec of our new kitchen. Nothing was an issue and he looked after us every step of the process.

I cannot fault the kitchen fitter Wickes supplied who was brilliant. Wickes customer service however has been less than good. We were supplied a broken dishwasher which took weeks to diagnose, on top of this we now have to wait weeks for another one to be delivered and reinstalled. We are now into week 7 without a dishwasher since the kitchen was finished, despite this Wickes went ahead and signed off the kitchen as completed. Additionally, the company that supplied the dishwasher damaged the unit when they pulled it out, I appreciate the liability falls to CDA but I have requested a replacement panel for this and Wickes just ignored my emails. Our kitchen fitter (to be clear, Wickes did not instruct him to do this) came off his own back and managed to buff/wax it to make it look a bit better rather than going through the arduous process of refitting the panel. As it stands, Wickes CS have gone completely silent on me, whilst they take my money with an unfinished kitchen.

After a very confusing issue regarding an internet order.
I went into the York store to try and solve the issue.
Within minutes Mel who was on the service counter not only listened to my explanation, but also sorted the issue.
I give Mel a 10 out of 10 for such a fantastic service.
As for the internet ordering service, the get a 4 out of 10.
