Wickes - West Wickham Omdömen 

If I could give 0 stars I would. I had a new bathroom fitted nearly two years ago and since then have experienced problem after problem. I have experienced three major leaks into my neighbours property though faulty workmanship from a Wickes approved installer. The problems have ranged from fitting a shower tray which was literally balanced on floor boards, incorrect pipework used to connect the toilet, to inappropriate parts being used to join pipework together.
Wickes aftercare was appalling. Initially I was bounced from department to department with no one able to help and it took almost six weeks before they could find anyone to come and sort the problem. In the end I had to employ my own plumber and fight for Wickes to reimburse me for the work and to pay for the damage to my neighbour's property. The last incident they disputed that it was their fitter's shoddy workmanship that had caused the problem and I had no way of proving this outright.
Yesterday the nightmare began again, with yet more pipework giving in and causing a forth leak. I am so lucky that my neighbour has been understanding throughout the whole ordeal. I made the mistake of thinking that a well known company would employ competent workmen to carry out work on their behalf.
Avoid. Avoid. AVOID.

Update: 27.7.25 The nightmare continues. Not three days since my last review I am yet again faced with a new problem. My son had a shower this evening and now the dial which turns it off and on is now stuck on. On a Sunday night with emergency plumbers quoting me 400 + with slim to no chance of rectifying the problem, I was forced to turn my water off again for the second time this week.
Below you will see Wickes promising to look into the problems I've faced but as I expected no contact from them. They have cost me hundreds of pounds on top of my expensive bathroom. I paid two and a half grand to a complete cowboy who Wickes approved. I will now be seeking legal advice. The stress of this ordeal, not to mention the additional costs needs to be compensated adequately. Enough is enough. Stop offering empty apologies and sort this out.

Trevor Wickham was a extremely helpful in planning my kitchen layout, and even after placing the order I went back to change the design and nothing was too much trouble. He fitted me in between clients as I turned up on the off chance with no appointment. If you are planning a new kitchen then book an appointment with Trevor at West Wickham branch.

I dealt with both James and Trevor. They helped me design a kitchen for a rental property so made it suitable for my budget and were both very helpful and friendly.

This store is fantastic and so helpful and knowledgeable. I am a teacher at a local school and was able to access their community support fund. Laura was brilliant and answered all my questions, she couldn’t have been more helpful.

I was served by Loretta, she was knowledgeable and very helpful, she definitely made my shopping experience at wickes easy and I will return again.

Great experience at West Wickham!
I went to get bulbs for my living room but was not sure which ones to get - Kay was very friendly and helped me get exactly what I needed.
It also helped that the store was clean and well organised.

I had a wonderful experience at West Wickham a few weeks ago while searching for a small kitchen for my houseboat. Kay, a delightful and incredibly helpful woman, greeted me in the showroom. She and a kind gentleman named Trevor assisted me in designing my charming little kitchen; the Ohio Blue is absolutely stunning. Thank you both so much for your assistance.

We have recently had a new kitchen through Wickes in West Wickham. James Bealing designed our kitchen and Sotir and his team handled the installation. I cannot fault either of them. We are very happy with our new kitchen and would definitely recommend!

Staff are very helpful and informative with what products they sell. Could have a bigger range. Feel sorry for staff as their store is freezing

I had to return an item that I had ordered online. I went to the store to return the item and to buy a replacement which was in stock at the store. The staff were really helpful and friendly and not only dealt seamlessly with the exchange, they also loaded the item which was quite heavy, into my car! Great experience all round!

I use Wickes all the time for my building supplies and find them well priced, convenient and well stocked.
The entire team at West Wickham are super helpful and friendly and always go the extra mile for me when needed.

I was left without a functional bathroom for months, with constant delays and zero accountability. Despite countless attempts to reach out, my calls were ignored, and promises of updates were never fulfilled. If you value your time, money, and sanity, avoid Wickes at all costs.

Even 1 star is higher than they deserve!
