Simon Ord, our Wickes fitter, was extremely professional,hard working and reliable throughout the job. He gave us excellent advice at every stage and clearly knows his trade.The quality of his work was outstanding and nothing was too much trouble.We are very pleased with the results and would definitely recommend Simon for any job.

Chelsie Broady at St James Retail Park was very knowledgeable and made the design process super quick and easy. I came in knowing pretty much exactly what I wanted, and she let me know what would work, and what wouldn’t. This is the first kitchen I’ve ever purchased, and so it was nice to have someone experienced for guidance. I haven’t ordered my kitchen yet, but will be doing so shortly using the design Chelsie made.

I was Wickes Newcastle on Monday and were served by a young scottish lady called Alana , i needed some advice on what would be the best paint to put over a stain that i had in my bedroom, Alana knew excatly what i needed and took me straight to the product and explained how to use it , she then took me to the till and served me there too very helpful and knows her stuff credit to Wickes Newcastle

What a brilliant service from start to finish. Being new to any form of home improvements, getting a new kitchen seemed extremely daunting, but everyone we've dealt with has really helped put us at ease and made the process as stress free as possible.

Our designer Chelsie Broady has been brilliant, she really took the time to find out what was important to us to give us suggestions that really fitted our needs. Chelsie's extensive knowledge shows, answering any queries we had and explaining the full process clearly so we knew exactly what was going on. Above all, Chelsie was so friendly to deal with, she's a real credit to the team.

The delivery process was incredibly smooth and the delivery team were friendly and polite. The tracking and delivery updates were really helpful.

We can't thank our installation team (Simon Ord - Precision Joinery) enough. From the start Simon kept us well informed of the planned work from start to finish, as well as any bumps in the road (e.g. being a total life saver spotting and fixing a leak from the bathroom). Although there's quite a bit of upheaval involved in getting a new kitchen fitted (especially with two young children in the house), Simon completely put me at ease. The team are clearly well experienced, hard working and fantastic at what they do, we couldn't be more grateful to them or more pleased with our gorgeous new kitchen.

Ive used this store for years now, unfortunately i won't be going back as the cashier had a really bad attitude. Definitely needs some extra customer care training

Can't thank Wickes enough from going into the store at Westerhope Andrew was very profecionsl and very helpful, he went out of his way to get us the kitchen we wanted, the team of very professional men who fitted the kitchen were 5 star, Simon Ord Precision Joinery and his team were fantastic from start to finish, they never stopped and they definitely have pride in their work and nothing was a bother to them, this team are fantastic and a credit to Wickes, we would 100% recommend them to fit your kitchen and Paul the painter just finished it off, our kitchen looks stunning and we can't thank them enough.

So I am never out of this Wickes and recently needed help. I met Leen and I must admit one of the most helpful workers I have met. She was so pleasant and nothing was to much trouble. Its hard to get good customer service these days but Leen is a great credit to the company. Well done.

Thank you to Charlotte, who recently went above and beyond to locate a few items in store for me. Nice, friendly and very helpful, nothing was a chore to her, a pleasure being served by her, great customer service which doesn’t come easy these days !!!

Really disappointed with the service received. Andrew came out to measure for a new kitchen and quite clearly didn’t want the sale or wanted an early finish. Already measured and quoted through wren but thought I would give wickes ago as reviews looked okay. Appointment booked to measure 5:30pm due to work, he called to say could he come earlier so turned up at 5 and was here for literally 5 minutes instead of the hour. I live in a cul-de-sac but the guy turned up at the back door some how, didn’t even say hello and was really miserable and said you need to get on to the council about the bumps in the roads. I gave him an idea of what we wanted and He basically told us they couldn’t do it and recommended we used B&Q. He said it was because our ceiling is to low for a tall cupboard, since measured and most definitely is not! Even if this was the case I was open to other ideas or recommendations. Then told me my gas hobs are illegal as to close to the cooker and left. I was very open to ideas and designs but nope he didn’t seem like he could be bothered at all. Very disappointed I planned on getting the kitchen, bathroom and flooring with wickes after that experience I won’t use nor recommend.

I went to the Stamfordham Road branch. The customer service provided by Charlotte and the ladies on the customer service team was second to none. Charlotte went out of her way to help, advising me on what I needed (I'm a DIY newbie!!) and even picking it up from the shelves for me. Wickes, she deserves a pay rise and a medal—the best customer service I've ever experienced.

Susan served me on the till when I was in the Newcastle store, she was so lovely and helpful, some of the most genuine amazing customer service iv received in a long time!

I have been waiting for my bathroom built for a full year.
Avoid them like the plague
They work with sub standard installers and will not take responsibility for anything.
The installer delayed us repeatedly and finally pulled out leaving me with thousands of pounds worth of supplies and no one to give me money back for it. Wickes is not taking responsibility for their cowboy installer
I am going to take them to court

We went in for a kitchen appointment with Andrew who was brilliant from start to finish!

We also needed a few more bits and pieces after the appointment and we were helped by Alana, no problem was to big or small and she helped us find everything we need, with professional and friendly advice, an absolute credit to the store.

We went into the Newcastle Upon Tyne wicks to get a price for a large delivery cila who initially got us the quote saved the information till we could go and cancel the order at a rival store when we got back to wicks shop assistant Leen Went on not just to complete the large delivery but help me get the wicks Trade pro discount app and help set it up.

I feel that Leen went far and beyond her job and made it a pleasure to shop there.

We prefer to go to Wikes Newcastle-upon-Tyne but all Wikes staff are very helpful and knowledgeable Leen has been helping us lately to sort out orders for delivery... she asked about for information she didn't know. Next time she remembered us well and was partly filling in the information she recalled. We were both impressed by her and we can honestly say we have always been pleased with everthing we have purchased. The quality of product and price are very competitive.

34 patio slabs ordered, 10 of which were chipped at corner. Shouldn’t be sending chipped slabs, why not check the ? i then have to report it, send pictures and wait for another delivery! Same order, 3 metal posts, failed delivery, further phone calls. 2 of the 3 posts arrived the next day, resulting in more phone calls to track down missing posts. Still waiting for 3rd post! 6 phone calls so far to customer services regarding an order made online, honestly it would have been easier to hire a van and go to the store, total waste of my time speaking to customer services re an order that isnt that complex.

I've just had a new bathroom designed and installed by Wickes Newcastle and the whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Design consultant Andrew Walker was friendly, helpful and gave tailored advice to fit my needs. The installation team were quick, efficient and gave great attention to detail leaving me with a perfect new bathroom. I can't thank Wickes enough for such an amazing experience taking all of the stress and hassle away.

It was a great experience from beginning to end.
Went to my local wickes and met a lovely lady Jackie Diboll who helped us pick a lovely kitchen explaining the whole time in details about products best for our needs she give a 110% and made it so simple for us.
Then Simon Ord the installer from Precision Joinery was amazing him and his team can’t praise them enough.
There work was exceptional nothing was to much so professional.
Every day before they left they cleaned the area so was ready for next day as with Jackie give a 110% at all times a credit to Wickes
My kitchen is Amazing l would recommend Wickes to anyone once you pick what you want they take over it’s so easy no worries or hassle everything was just amazing.

Really good service

Bought a water butt from Newcastle store on Stamfordham Road. The store is fine - good layout etc but the guy on the checkout needs to go on the customer service course. While he served me and took payment, he continued his conversion with the 2 people manning the till behind me. A bit of courtesy / professionalism costs nothing but more likely to get repeat custom. By comparison, I always find the staff at Screwfix to be excellent
