Wickes - Maldon Omdömen 

We can't speak highly enough of Edith! She was an invaluable asset in creating our new bathroom, offering exceptional help and insight every step of the way. From our very first appointment, Edith demonstrated an amazing ability to grasp and incorporate all the specific details we wanted into the design. Her intuitive understanding of our personal taste and style truly set her apart. With her genuine consultative approach and friendly, knowledgeable demeanor, we wholeheartedly recommend her services.

Found what I wanted in store, got to the till and all was scanned in and I paid, but the receipt printer failed and the young girl on the till told me the only thing she could do was refund resell the whole transaction to give me a receipt. This receipt is £0.00 obviously because of the refund resale, it has no vat breakdown and is quite useless. I hope the tax man is understanding of what a useless operating system they are running. Also luckily I haven't needed to actually return anything and it looks as though I all ready did?! Shocking.

We brought a kitchen from the maldon store and loads went wrong this was down to the design consultant the wrong size cupboards we had gaps where there shouldn’t of been so had to fill gaps with bits I didn’t want I asked for a certain cooker she put the wrong one on the Order then wickes refused to change it.
They damaged my flooring during installation.
One day they men were about to leave I walked in to the kitchen and could smell gas if I hadn’t walked in when I did it would of been left let along being with a sink cooker or hob for days. We had the quartz worktops the design consultant never at any point said we would have to wait 10days before they were fitted. I would not recommend wickes maldon store at all a lot of money down the drain and they don’t admit they in the wrong to rectify anything. Should have been a week to fit start to finish 3weeks later it was done! AVOID MALDON STORE AT ALL COSTS

Edith at the maldon branch, was really helpful and patient with what we were asking about. She explained everything, without using trade slang. A really pleasant time, without stress when buying a shower. Thanks Edith.

We have been thinking of replacing our kitchen for ages. We visited Wicks to see what they had and we started chatting with Emily Baker, Design Consultant. Emily was very helpful. She has a great knowledge of kitchen design as well as being very patient with us. We ran through a number of choices and configurations with her and Emily helped us arrive at our final options. She was never pushy and listened to our concerns and queries. She gave us the reassurance to go ahead and held our hand through the ordering process. An enjoyable buying experience.

The staff was very helpfull and friendly, I managed to get all I wanted today and the delivery was very cheap.

We had two bathrooms designed @ Wickes in Maldon Essex.
Edith was absolutely fantastic she helped us decide what was just right for us.although we did not buy from Wickes I would highly recommend there service and definitely ask for Edith.

Even though we did not buy a kitchen through Wickes, we must commend Edith. Her enthusiasm and designs were fantastic, we just could not agree on a colour of units that we wanted as we felt there were not enough lighter colours in the range we wanted. Edith’s ideas were great and we wish to thank her for her time. Would definitely recommend Edith

I have chosen wickes to install a new kitchen. Edith is the design consultant I have and she has so far been amazing. Great ideas and suggestions and doesn’t do the hard sell like a lot of places do. Such a lovely person and up until now my Wickes experience has been amazing. Looking forward to getting my new kitchen installed.

Updated review:
I cannot say enough to deter people from using wickes. My original post being in February, this process is still not finished. The measurements from the original appointment were incorrect, causing delays and cost for preparation, which needed to be redone.
The delivery of the bathroom:
The delivery arrived on the wrong date, in 5 seperate deliveries at different times throughout the day. Luckily we were working on renovations that day. The second half of the bathroom didn't arrive as the van broke down, but of course wickes did not tell us, just left us hanging around for hours until the tracker said it couldn't be delivered.
They couldn't give us a date within the same week as "wickes weren't delivering in that area" until about 2 weeks later.
The kitchen however is worse. 6 failed deliveries so far, still not complete.
Attempt 1 - wrong kitchen cabinet colour as they made a mistake with our order.
Attempt 2 - partial delivery, the key parts of the kitchen did not arrive.
Attempt 3 - other half of the delivery arrived, but wrong colour so couldn't be used.
Attempt 4 - (48 hour delivery) didn't show up at all and no answers to why. (Not to mention the repeat calls to them chasing it up and no one getting back to me)
Attempt 5 - day after Attempt 4, didn't show up (still no one reached out, even when prompted)
Attempt 6 - right colour but wrong units entirely.

This process has been ongoing for months, we have a very tight time frame (wickes were made aware of the severity of us not making that timeframe, including the potential of being without a liveable home), but they have made mistakes at every step in this process causing excessive delays and cost.

I do not believe wickes has actively reached out to us once, without first being prompted by call or email by us.

If you have any option rather than wickes, in my opinion, take it. I will never go to wickes for anything like this again. Apparently the customer relations team are keeping track of the issues, but they have not reached out either.

Was serves by Kay today she is always so helpful and gives great advice. I wouldn’t shop any were else now for my diy stuff

I come to Maldon Wickes on 31/1/25 with my father who has dementia as this one off his enjoyment due to being ex plumber (we was here to get some new taps)
I would like to say big thankyou to lady Kay due to my father dementia he can repeat himself often or tell people how to do things . She show us kindness and patience and listen to him which made my father so happy . Unfortunately we went few weeks back to different D.I.Y place and the lady there once I paid said next person which then upset my father .

Kay is amazing so friendly and knowledgeable great to have an experience member of staff in stead of to many young people with no knowledge .

What can I say about Kay, she is always happy and pleased to see you. Very helpful and knowledgeable and professional.

A credit to your Wickes team and such a pleasure to deal with.

10/10 for customer service and communication
