Wickes - Leeds Moor Allerton Omdömen 

The design consultant called 10 minutes before the appointment to say that he has come back from annual leave and was unable to come to our house, this is the third occasion Wickes have let us down so we’ll not be using for anything, the Wickes is Moor Allerton Leeds, they also asked Trust Pilot to remove the review

Great tidy store, came in with my dad Saturday evening and was ordering a bathroom with minutes so helpful and professional

I had a home visit booked for a kitchen design appointment and the person failed to show up. Instead of ringing me to apologise and rearrange an appointment, I'm just getting auto-generated emails asking for a review, so here is my review. Unreliable and poor customer service.

We have had two very different experiences with Wickes, and it has become absolutely clear to us that your final result depends entirely on the designer you get.

Initially, Quentin designed our kitchen, and we were so incredibly happy with the process and the final outcome that when it came time to do our bathroom, we specifically sought him out at the Moor Allerton branch. This was after receiving a very poor, uninspired design from a different branch of Wickes, which really highlighted the contrast in talent.

Quentin is in a league of his own. He is incredibly attentive to detail, genuinely passionate about his work, and has a fantastic eye for aesthetics—he just knows instinctively what will work in a space and what won't. What sets him apart is the time he takes to truly understand you as a family. He didn't just look at the floor plan; he looked at how we live, our likes and dislikes, and tailored the designs to fit our lifestyle perfectly.
He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure the design is the absolute best it can be.

While reviews for this company as a whole can be mixed, our experience proves that if you get the right person, the service is unmatched. I would recommend Quentin wholeheartedly to anybody looking for a fantastic, thoughtful design and a seamless experience. He is brilliant at what he does!

The design part was excellent. Adam stone was great.
My fitter Ion Crisan was excellent. The bathroom is beautiful, the work is of a really high standard. He worked flat out to complete the job.
The delivery side of things was frustrating. A few items were not delivered, the communication between external suppliers and Wickes customer experience team was poor.
Even so I’ve got a beautiful bathroom that has exceeded my expectation. Thank you.

I was waiting in the queue only to buy a lightbulb but the lovely man on the till Andy, was very helpful to the couple in front of me. When serving me, he made my day, with a smile and joking comment. Thanks Andy it’s the small things that make a difference.

My partner and I bought a new bathroom from the Moor Allerton store in Leeds. The Sales team, particularly Milos, were excellent. We did have a few issues with delivery dates (several items were delivered outside of the agreed date, all on different days and we did have to inform Wickes that several items had not been delivered as expected). Wickes did do a good job of tracking them down and communicating on a revised delivery time. However, this is where our good experience ended. Wickes' After Care service is shockingly poor. Only a few weeks after the bathroom was fitted, we had to call out an emergency plumber due to what turned out to be a faulty valve in the cistern. I accept that sometimes things like this can happen but when my partner contacted Wickes to ask for a refund on the faulty parts and provided them with more than sufficient evidence, they were not interested in the slightest. One of the After Care team members even terminated the call. I have to say for this reason, we will not be using Wickes again for when we have our kitchen refurbishment and I would not recommend them to others. I accept that you pay a premium to use a Supplier like Wickes but in return, I expect that they resolve any problems should they occur. We are very disappointed in Wickes and are disgusted for the way that they have treated us.

Update five weeks after posting the above review:
Wickes responded to my post on Trustpilot Reviews and asked me to provide further details over Instagram Direct Messages, which I did promptly. I was told that my concerns were forwarded to the bathroom/after sales team but I have heard absolutely nothing. This reinforces my original complaint about Wickes that they are good at selling but do not care about the customer post transaction. I would therefore not recommend Wickes when making a big purchase such as a bathroom. Extremely disappointing.

Brennan has been extremely n went beyond his way to load heavy items than put them in car. Never seen such a staff member anywhere tbh

My previous review, shortly after this store opened, was a bit of a gripe.
However....!
I have to give credit where it's due because I've visited multiple times since, both on my own and with a neighbour who is helping me landscape, and we've bought loads.
Reasons: it's easy to get to, there's lots of parking space, I've found most things I wanted, some things I didn't know I wanted and the staff are helpful.
Last summer I was struggling to get some super heavy bags of bark chippings into my vehicle. A staff member sitting in his van behind, probably having his lunch, got out and offered to help which I was really grateful for.
And today I got help with more of the bark bags which, being wet and slippery, were even harder to move and lift.
So just to say, many thanks for that and I'll be back.

overall extremely satisfied with how Adam Stone(Morley), helped us design and help plan our new kitchen,
We will be back to do our bathroom.

We have been served by Tom twice at the checkout and honestly his customer service is horrific. He was so moody and arrogant at the till and has extremely poor communication skills.

We recently used Wickes to design our new bathroom and the experience exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Quentin was absolutely outstanding — he invested a considerable amount of time with us, exploring different layouts and options, listening carefully to what we wanted, and coming back with thoughtful proposals that really reflected our taste and needs. He was positive, patient, and knowledgeable throughout every stage of the process.

We had our bathroom designed at Leeds Moor Allerton by Milos Belomarkovic back in January and he was 10/10. Went through absolutely everything with us in detail, gave us so many options and was so reassuring. I’d read some horror reviews on here but he made sure that we understood everything, all of the processes and promised he’d sort any issues. We had absolutely zero issues.
He was on hand constantly and kept every promise!!

We had Daniel and Giovanni install our bathroom and I couldn’t have asked for any better. They absolutely exceeded all of our expectations and we have a bathroom better than we’d imagined. The finish is to such a high standard and nothing is out of place. They asked us continuously whether we were happy during the install, if we wanted any changes etc and were really polite and respectful in my home.

I appreciate that everyone has their own experience but ours had no issues at all, especially with Wickes.

The only “issues” were some deliveries. We did have everything on time, although, third party providers such as the tile company arrived a bit later than others. It didn’t delay our install but it’s one thing I’d noticed on other reviews. Everything sourced from Wickes was there on time and any replacements were next day and really efficient.

We’re so pleased & will absolutely be back for our kitchen! It won’t let me add pictures, but I wish I could!

Great experience, from Milos in the design team who was very knowledgeable and patient and showed us ways to improve the kitchen layout which was brilliant, to the delivery drivers, and especially the fitters Mr Mondays team who were great and worked with our own independent worktop suppliers to finish the kitchen in under two weeks. THANK YOU .

Great service at the Leeds moor allerton Wickes today. They had all the materials I needed for my diy project. Super helpful colleague Brennan even helped me load my tiles into my car! I’ll definitely be back!

I’m not one from leaving reviews.Been in store today and purchased some heavily discounted worktops.Also enquired about a new kitchen sink while I was there and wanted to see some that wasn’t on display.Thats was no problem happily opened some to show me.I dealt with a few 4 members of staff today while I was there and unfortunately didn’t catch there names but the level of service I received was impeccable.I have never received such help/service out of any other homeward store I have been in.Even calling me by my first name felt welcomed and not a inconvenienced … well done moortown wicks what a great team you have .
