Wickes - Folkestone Omdömen 

Hi my name Victor I am a director at the company Tvb Construction Ltd. Whenever I visit the Wickes store in Folkestone, the team there always assists me. I recently went in to purchase materials and asked for help; I encountered Alice—an exceptional and incredibly helpful young woman. I thank her very much! I highly recommend reaching out to her; she is very kind and truly helpful.

Ben at Folkestone Branch has delivered outstanding customer service to our local school. He signposted us to the Wickes Community Programme as we were in need of support with a project. Ben was instrumental in guiding us through the process and helping us to secure the flooring that we needed to be able to complete our project. The whole process from start to finish was very efficient and the flooring was delivered ahead of schedule. The impact on the school and children is invaluable and we cannot be more grateful to Ben and the team at Wickes Folkestone for their support.

Ordered cabinet handles for next day delivery. Next day rec'd phone call from Wickes explaining our delivery had missed cut off point with courier and delivery could not be made. Manager at Folkestone branch tried to get courier to confirm early morning delivery next day, but courier could not do this. We needed goods as we had a house viewing booked. Manager delivered goods to us himself next day at 7.30am to make sure we had goods on time. In this day and age that is service over and beyond. Well done Wickes.

Ben at the Folkestone Branch was really helpful. Answered all the questions I had and showed me where everything was. Wasnt too much trouble. Always polite everytime I go in. Really happy.

Had excellent customer service from Folkestone Wickes (Annabel Welch) with kitchen design. She was very knowledgable, patient and proffessional. We have got quotes from other kitchen suppliers but her attention to detail and friendly approach made us go ahead with Wickes.

Always a pleasure going into wickes to pick up our building materials. Shaun is always helpful and always points us in the right direction and always enjoys the banter.

I went to the store this morning for some copper pipe. I noticed the topsoil outside at a very good price so decided I wanted to buy 2 bags.
I asked at the till if I needed to bring the bags in or could I just pay and collect them from outside. A member of staff who heard my request said that he could put the bags in my car for me, which was a lovely offer and very much appreciated.

I attended the store today and to say I am disappointed in the customer service is an understatement. Staff were unwilling to help and somewhat rude. I attended the till with one bag of soil and asked if I could be charged for 12, as I could not carry or push them through. The male worker who served me was incredibly dismissive and told me he would not charge for 12 and I would need to collect the 12 and bring them to the till. I explained to the worker that I was unable to do that and asked if anyone in the store could help, to which the worker unhelpfully said ‘I doubt it, we’re too busy’. This was 7.26am and the store was not busy in the slightest, having only been open for 26 minutes. There were 3 other staff members standing near by and not one of them were asked to assist me. The worker eventually allowed me to pay for the 12 bags ‘this once’ without carrying them through however, still did not help me the other side or call anyone else to assist me. I had to ask another member of public to help.

Have visited the store at Folkestone over the last few weeks and have found the staff extremely helpful. Shaun was very knowledgeable. Would certainly recommend this store. Regards Terry and Jeana Burgess. Thank you.

I had the pleasure of working with Luke in the design and planning of my kitchen. He is professional, responsive and flexible. No problem was ever too big. He was solution focussed. He made what could have been a stressful experience very smooth and issue-free.

I ordered some items for delivery. the smaller items arrived by royal mail delivery but the larger items (timber and MOT sub base) were not delivered. The chat agent told me they would raise a query, I explained that i needed the items today but never heard back.
I have just managed ti find the tracking and courier city sprint and Tracking shows them dumped in some random road or driveway somewhere but it doesn’t say where, and my signature has been falsified by the courier as just a tiny dash. What kind of service is this? I paid for delivery ti MY HOME and instead they dumped them and forged customer signature and wrote my name under it as if i wrote it.
Since nobody got back to me I guess I have to re order and pay delivery all over again for the missing items? no idea if i will be able to get my
money back. will have to contact the bank.

A big thank you to Paul in the Folkestone branch for helping us get 17 big sheets of floorboard down with the fork lift despite being near closing time. Thank you again.

I want to thank JJ at the Folkestone branch. Today I thought I had lost my cards out of my phone wallet. JJ went above and beyond to help me - arranging for a search in the area I had been and then when I realised I would have to go home to look for the cards he put my goods aside promising to keep them for me. When I returned (and cards were at home) he instantly spotted me and got my goods out from behind the counter. He was friendly, helpful and went above and beyond - exactly the sort of customer service you want and particularly when you have a problem like my loss of cards today.

Wickes is very good shop and customer service is very very good. I have order some items today with Caitlin she is best working in the Wicke. She give me time fine the item.

The store was relatively empty, so it was easier to find most of my requirements, although there were some panel pins I needed. An excellent assistant called Julia (otherwise known as Canadian Julia) was extremely helpful, pinpointed exactly what I wanted and was happy to have a brief discussion about all things DIY. Really appreciated. Served promptly at the front desk by the manager, who also was kind and courteous.

Good service and goods delivered on time but their bags of garden compost were very poor. None of my plants have grown like they should and this is for both outside and indoor plants that I have grown successfully for many years. Poor crops on tomatoes and poor flowers on indoor plants. Compost appears to be just shredded wood which dries out amazingly quickly and gives no nourishment to the plants.

​I want to extend a massive, heartfelt thank you to Alice at the Wickes store for her incredible kindness and generosity. Our local school has been struggling significantly with donations for our Early Years foundation stage, and outdoor play resources were desperately low.
​When we reached out, Alice stepped up without hesitation and arranged for the donation of 20 bags of play sand. This has made an absolute world of difference to the children, giving them a fantastic, sensory space to play, explore, and learn.
​It is so rare and wonderful to see a business—and an individual like Alice—truly care about and invest in their local community. Her exceptional customer service and community spirit have brought so much joy to our youngest students. Alice is an absolute credit to the Wickes team, and we cannot thank her enough!
