Wickes - Cardiff Omdömen 

Thank you Doug from the Cardiff Newport Road store for your excellent customer service yesterday. He was busy doing something else when I cornered him for help and he stopped what he was doing just to advise me. I went in looking for advice on some bathroom DIY and he helped me get exactly what I needed and talked me through the steps I needed to take. He was lovely, so helpful and we had a nice chat. He’s an asset to your company. Thanks Doug!

We bought a kitchen in excess of £20k from Wickes and were told categorically that the installation would be completed in no more than an absolute maximum of 12 weeks. The kitchen was ordered on June 6th & we’re now being told that the earliest date they can install it is November 23rd!! Nearly 6 months after the order date. The salesman is blaming the installation manager, the installation manager is blaming the salesman and the customer service is absolutely appalling. Absolutely shocking customer service

Buying a full shower room in Wickes Newport Road, Cardiff today. Staff member Anna went beyond to help me. She knew where everything was and was happy to answer lots of questions. She sorted out the order and arranged delivery. Efficient and lovely to deal with.

I visited the Cardiff Newport road store today to collect a click & collect order which turned out to be wrong (totally my fault it was wrong). A lovely lady called Anna helped me sort it out with amazing efficiency. She had my refund sorted in minutes and found me the correct items and even sorted out another problem on my trade account. Her speed on the computer was an eye opener and I cannot believe how she went over and above to assist me. Can’t thank her enough for her expert knowledge and first class customer service. Well done Anna!!

Jamie was approachable and helpful. He knew exactly where to direct me to when I asked for what I needed. I was in a rush so this was very welcome.

Today i was in store I asked a member of staff could he assessed me and I said i got an photo of what i was looking for and i was going through my phone looking for the right one as i had loads off screenshot for different stores and he signed at me it made me feel on edge and i needed to be rushed I couldn’t find it so i said don’t worry sorry for wasting your time ill have to look online and instead off trying to help me he said under his breathe whilst walking away don’t waste my time too hot

It was the first experience I have had in wicks and i do not recommend it as this member of staff which his name tag start with Jay something I am not too sure and I havnt got great eye sight but just disappointed I just needed a bit of guidance with my garden . Very disappointed at this store was recommended to me highly by my friend jane

Very very rude customer service from this Young man

Yesterday i was waiting for my husband in wicks and there was an young man talking to me about this place i asked u worked here long just making conversation he said only about 2 weeks i said if he was enjoying it he said not really got me doing too much and hours due to me being new because they knows they can get away with it but its a job it earns money . i judt agreed yes its an job but i have been coming to this shop well im my husband have for years and they all talk lonely about each other always happy and polite . Really disappointed to hear to be honest

I was in Cardiff Newport road store wicks and I was minding my own business and I over heard an store member in his 20s tall and really skinny he was under his breathe saying all they expect me to do is all this work I hardly been here a hour and they expects it all does my head in fools . I looked with disgusted and he just staired at me and it made me feel really uncomfortable.
I just think it’s awful how the team members in wicks are talking about each other like that when they are meant to be a team .

Awful experience made me feel so uncomfortable wouldn’t recommend this store at all



Today I came into wicks . And there was a young lad who had name badge as Jayden I think it was . I asked about the kitchen he said I am a trainee and only been here a couple of weeks I asked could he get someone who would be able to help me he said I ain’t someone who goes to get someone for you I got work to be doing so ignorant and rude I only wanted help on idea and prices and what the next steps were on doing an kitchen .

I usually use this shop all the time for my work but won’t be coming back so rude of a staff member

I came into wicks Cardiff Newport road the other day I asked an lad for help with fence panelling he said it’s over there buddy , I asked him could he Asses me by helping me carry it to the till he said no that’s what trolleys are for . I stated it was very rude the way he was speaking to me I asked for his name to make an complaint he said jayden and said ur more than welcome to make an complaints as there are trolleys for a reason so use them

I found this lad very disrespectful and I am disappointed as this is my local store now I will have to go to b and q as the staff in here are no help and can’t be bothered

Never had any problems here before till the other day

I recently purchased a bathroom from Wickes. Wayne offered excellent customer service from start to finish. He was completely open and transparent about the price at all stages of the project and offered practical advice and solutions throughout, allowing me to understand what was possible within my budget and bathroom size. I would have no hesitation in recommending Wayne, thank you for all your help!

Found the products I required were much cheaper than the orange diy store . Well stocked and Linda the store assistant was most helpful . Plenty of parking , will use again.

We recently ordered a kitchen with Wayne at the Newport Road store in Cardiff, and couldn’t recommend him enough. The whole process was so quick and easy, with Wayne coming out to our property to take measurements and create a design plan that suited us, dealing quickly with any of our queries over email, and taking payment over the phone to make things easier for us. Super friendly service and knowledgeable in his work. Thanks again Wayne!

Just bought and picked up heavy tiles from Wickes Cardiff - Josh and Joao were so helpful in sorting the tiles for a complete batch number and then carrying them to the car. Top quality service - thanks both.

There was a mix up with the click and collect order but Roxanne was very apologetic and found another product to match. Excellent customer service and I will continue to shop at this store!

Wayne Tyler-Grant in the Cardiff store helped us with the design and installation of a new bathroom. He was really knowledgeable and helpful. We’re really pleased with the result!
