Whittard of Chelsea - Great tea, great customer service!

Whittard of Chelsea has wonderful tea selections and outstanding customer service. Recently my order was lost during shipping from the UK to the US, and Sarann, a Whittard customer service advisor, promptly replied to my email, checked into the details of the lost order, and issued a replacement order. Great service, great tea!

Due to the issue with address my order…

Due to the issue with address my order was cancelled without any notification, no refund.
I’ve clarified address as soon as as noticed issue, however, no action was taken to help with delivery.

After reviewing your order, we can confirm that we actioned the address amendment you requested after the order was placed, as the delivery address had been entered incorrectly during checkout. We also raised a complaint with the courier on your behalf after they marked the parcel as "Return to Sender."

As you advised that the order would no longer arrive in time for when you needed it, we processed a full refund for you.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your patience while we worked to resolve the issue. We hope we'll have the opportunity to provide you with a better experience in the future. The Whittard Team.

Great customer service

Efficient, friendly and customer-focussed.

I contacted Whittards to ask for a replacement infuser for my glass teapot as it had developed a crack after a lot of use. I received a quick and friendly reply from Sarann, who offered to send one to me free of charge.

Great expectations truly fulfilled

I love the simplicity of the ordering process, the excellent and prompt service when, contrary to expectations, something doesn’t quite go to plan, and, above all, the lovely packaging. It makes unpacking the parcel a special experience. And yes, the tea is absolutely delicious.

I ordered 3 different hot chocolate…

I was in Whittard’s in Arndale

I was in Whittard’s in Arndale, Manchester and I popped in as I always do when I come to Manchester. When I arrived I briefly took a small taster of a refreshment provided. The staff however felt like they were almost staring at me. However I took no notice of it as I thought it was just imagining it. However when I took another taster the staff this time had the audacity to ask me how many I had had. They also added a sneaky comment saying that I was greedy and needed to leave some for the rest of the customers. After hearing this I was outraged and immediately left the shop, although I was hoping to buy something. Also, this isn’t the first time this has happened so I had to take action this time. I am incredibly annoyed and can’t bring myself to come there again. After bringing this up to my friends and family it happens that it has also happened to the numerous times. I am completely utterly disgusting and disappointed.

Great customer service

Great web shop, beautiful purchase, immediately repeated my first order - and the second got stucked in an Italian “ponte” (= bridge = one working day between a Sunday and a National holiday, the worse possible logistic black hole in my Country). But I wrote and Sophie just solved the problem immediately. Well done Whizzard of London :)
