We felt well looked after at Wheatley Car Centre. Craig was helpful and supportive, making the process comfortable. A couple of issues with the car were sorted promptly, which we appreciated. We were also satisfied with the price given for our part exchange. The experience left us really pleased.

Unfriendly, officious and bureaucratic
I drove for over an hour to look at a car at the Wheatley Car Centre, having phoned in advance to book. We were greeted by Craig, who allowed us to look at the car but wouldn't let us test drive it until after he'd exhaustively gone through endless questions to gather personal data from me, seemingly for car finance even though we'd explicitly stated that this was a cash purchase. Everything was about "the process, to make it fair". If I'm buying a car for cash, you don't need to know how many miles I drive per year, the year of my birth, my email address or similar data. Despite 45 minutes of paperwork, we were no nearer driving the actual car to see if we liked it, and my husband was getting visibly annoyed by this. Craig then wouldn't let us drive the car, as "it's obvious you're not going to buy it". I'm an independent woman and if I had liked the car to drive (I liked the look of it from first inspection), I'd have bought it as I don't need my husband's permission to do so. The trade in value for my current car was derisory too, at a third of the price offered by "webuyanycar . com". The experience between this and the service we've received from a different independent car sales place where my husband bought a car last week is night and day. If you're considering travelling any kind of distance to get a car from Wheatley, don't bother.

Similarly, when a part exchange is involved, we always aim to agree a provisional valuation before arranging a test drive. This is simply to make sure expectations are aligned and to avoid wasting anyone’s time if we are too far apart on figures. We appreciate that valuations can sometimes differ from online buying services, as our offers are based on the vehicle’s condition, preparation costs, and current retail market considerations.

Terrible place
Terrible place. Drove an hour to look at a car. Craig spent ages taking personal data from my wife which I think was totally unnecessary under the Data Protection Act 2018 given that we were clear from the outset that we would purchase cash. After all that, he wouldn't let my wife test drive the car because I was cross with him - although always calm! I wouldn't buy a car from them, and if you're considering going for a test drive, don't bother! Ironically, the car looked quite good and we might have bought it - their loss, I guess.

5 Star experience-Service.
Another excellent service from Wheatley Car Centre.Lorraine and Gary front of house, Paul in the office and the whole team could not have been more helpful,arranging a last minute courtesy car when diagnostics threw up some problems.
I bought a car from WCS many years ago which is still going strong. And we have had service and MOT on three cars on a regular basis .In my opinion a one stop shop for sales, service repairs, and MOT with a 5 star experience.

Very friendly staff
Very friendly staff, booked the test drive for one car, wasn’t sure about my choice, they were not pushy at all, showed me the other car, let me to take it for a test drive without any problems at all. Explained everything to the details, gives me all the time I needed to make the decision.
