I’ve been trying to resolve a simple issue with customer support for days (now weeks), and the lack of response is honestly unacceptable. Multiple messages, follow-ups, and still nothing—no update, no accountability, no effort to fix the problem.

Working with Wex has been a huge nightmare. Not one person can help with any issues or questions. They "Escalate" everything, then proceed to do nothing. If you have a ton of time on your hands and want to waste your time with a company that does not care about its customers, this is the place.

I was having an issue with a charge…
I was having an issue with a charge back to my account. The customer was sending the proof it was paid but my account manager and his team was saying it wasn't received and that I would have to figure it out! I called in to speak with someone else and got to Shena; she was amazing and went above and beyond to fix the issue. Within 5 minutes she figured it out and fixed what my account manager couldn't for over a month! Thanks again Shena for the excellent customer service.

Unethical UCC Lien Practices
Unethical UCC Lien Practices – Avoid if You Value Transparency
I had an extremely frustrating experience with WEX. I inquired about their factoring services but ultimately chose not to proceed. No contract was ever signed, and no funds were ever disbursed — yet WEX still filed a UCC lien against my business.
After requesting they remove the lien, they responded by demanding a $250 "due diligence fee" just to authorize its termination. This is completely unjustified, especially since there was never any binding agreement or financial transaction.
This kind of behavior is not only unethical but raises serious concerns about their business practices. Filing liens against businesses without a valid contract or disbursed funds, then charging to remove them, is unacceptable.
If you're a small business owner looking for transparent and trustworthy partners, I strongly recommend staying away from WEX.

As stated in the signed application:
"By executing this application, the undersigned person certifies to the following... WEX is authorized to execute in the name of the undersigned person and file against the undersigned person in favor of WEX, UCCs and financing statements with respect to the undersigned person’s assets... Applicant agrees to reimburse WEX for any and all costs incurred by WEX as a result of applicant’s withdrawal of this application prior to the first funding."
Although no funds were disbursed and no contract was signed beyond the application, by submitting the application, you authorized WEX Capital to conduct due diligence, including the filing of a UCC financing statement, which secures the potential funding position.
The $250 fee reflects the administrative and due diligence expenses incurred during this process, as agreed upon in the application. We strive to operate with full transparency and ensure that all terms are clearly disclosed up front.
We appreciate your feedback and are available to discuss this further if you'd like to speak with a representative directly.

Be aware*** Warning. WEX will file a UCC even before you sign contract asn ask for $500 to release
Be aware*** I wanted to review their contract, therefore, I processed an application. WEX's contract is way too complex for me. WEX immediately filed a UCC on my company before I signed the contract. Now they want $500 (per the seller) to release me. Very shady behavior, and no company should treat a client or potential client this way. update from 04/21/25. Although WEX Bank asked for my contact info in this chat, and I immediately provided it to them, they never contacted me. FYI
