Westways have been letting out and managing my property for a number of years. It's always very efficient and easy. Definitely recommend them to other landlords!

My experience with Westways has been consistently disappointing. Throughout my tenancy, reported issues were either ignored or addressed with significant delays, often with the excuse that the landlord was unresponsive. A particularly serious concern was a large patch of black mold in my room, which was reported but never resolved. (Leaving me to live in unhealthy conditions.)

Toward the end of the contract, we attempted to renew the lease. Despite having taken on most maintenance ourselves and despite the property's location next to a noisy public square, we were presented with a rent increase. When we requested a reconsideration due to stagnant incomes and the condition of the flat, Westways not only refused but raised the rent further and threatened eviction. Their justification was "market value" and the landlord's decision, but they failed to provide any supporting data when asked.

Overall, I found Westways to be unprofessional, unresponsive, and dismissive of tenant concerns. I would not recommend renting through them.

I cannot recommend renting a flat through Westways. The letting agency was slow in taking action for essential repairs (such as leaving a bedroom without blinds for over six weeks and the flat without heating or hot water for close to a week) and routinely blamed the landlord for their delays and other shortcomings. Most disappointing, however, was their attempt to unreasonably withhold a portion of the deposit. Fortunately, once we escalated the issue to the Tenancy Deposit Scheme, the full deposit was finally returned. Prospective renters should be wary and know their rights.

Unfortunately I can’t rate 0 stars but if I could i most certainly would. This agency is not serious nor professional. I was in the midst of securing a flat. I sent an offer with a guarantor who didn’t have enough income to cover the costs but they said it was fine and the owner of the flat was happy to proceed. After a couple of days. They sent me an email saying the application failed due to my guarantor not making the required annual amount….whilst they were well aware of his income as it was stated on the original offer. They are now retaining my holding deposit and not refunding it even though it was them who accepted an offer that they knew was bound to be unsuccessful…. I am absolutely outraged and disappointed in this company and will never recommend them to anyone, ever.

A truly unfaultable estate agent which makes a nice refreshing change within London.

I have rented several properties from different estate agents in the past. But Westways has been the best by far. The people there are extremely helpful and responsive and I was particularly looked after by Alexandra who kept me updated with the process and made the move as smooth as I could’ve imagined. Renting properties can be extremely hectic but with Westways it was a breeze and I would recommend others to give a try and that they shouldn’t be disappointed. I will surely be renting more properties through them in the near future.
