I purchased an item from Volonka believing it to be genuine. After receiving it, I identified several signs that the product was counterfeit. The seller later admitted in writing that the item was not authentic.
Plus, the item took almost a month to arrive. It came from China (I saw it in the tracking info), which I though was weird, because the store is supposed to be in Ireland. I later learned this is common in dropshipping scam stores (which is the case).
I returned the product (to an address in Germany) using the prepaid return label provided by Volonka. The package was delivered and received by the seller on 20 January 2026.
Despite having the item back in their possession, Volonka did not issue any refund and stopped responding to my emails.
Selling counterfeit goods is illegal. Keeping the customer’s money after accepting a return is unacceptable. I am sharing this experience to warn other consumers.
Update: After my complaint, the website went offline and a suspicious 5-star review appeared. This further confirms my concerns. I recovered my money via bank chargeback. Please be careful.

We would like to clarify that our products are sourced from verified suppliers. In your case, we did accept your return request, even though it was submitted outside of our standard return window. We provided a prepaid return label and did our best to accommodate your situation.
However, the return was initiated significantly later than the allowed period, and we made multiple attempts to communicate and resolve the issue. Despite these efforts, the item was returned after several weeks (after a month), and we followed the proper procedures throughout the process. PayPal also reviewed the cases and ruled in our favor, confirming that we handled the situation appropriately.
We understand your frustration and value your feedback. Our commitment remains to provide excellent service and quality products, and we’ll continue to work on improving our processes.
