Best phone assistant we’ve ever had GO JESS!!!

I went into the wilmslow Vodafone store Saturday morning to upgrade my phone. As a back story I bought my last phone from the same shop. I prefer to buy outright due to previous issues with phone contracts. Ideally I just wanted to replace the phone I have with a newer version. The sales person Jess, advised me that they had no phones to purchase, only phones to take on contract. Not ideal but I was told I could pay 90% of the phone and the rest over two years. I agreed. However I had to go through a credit check which failed. This was very distressing as I just checked my experian which had a score of 999. Vodafone doing a hard check has now reduced this. No explanation as to why there system rejected a 24month plan of just £4 per month. The anxiety of this started a panic attack, which for any one suffering is not only scary but very embarrassing. I asked for some water but was told a flat NO... only after starting to get distressed, did the staff bother to get some water so I could deal with the anxiety.
Vodaphone are a sham with customer service barely registering a pulse.
I think there policy is to use the phone as the carrot and get customers to take out credit. A more profitable option for them as the customer has to pay the interest rate they set.
Easily resolved as I went to another phone shop, bought a phone and swapped the SIM.
Who ever is running vodaphone wilmslow today is considerably less skilled than the excellent staff they had 2 years ago.
