I have used VO5 mega hold hair spray for many years. I have fine hair and this spray was perfect for holding my style in place. However I shall have to find and alternative because since the rebranding the smell is awful. I've seen somewhere that it smells like coconut now but the one I bought smalls absolutely terrible. I can taste it on my tongue for a couple of hours after application, it gives me headache and smells more like cat wee. Please go back to the original smell which was really pleasant.

I have used this product for years it used to be amazing, bought a bottle recently and it’s horrible, smell is awful, hold it terrible and it makes your scalp itchy, why have they changed it!!! I won’t buy this again

I have used the mega gel spray for years and absolutely loved it . I bought a new bottle recently and realised the bottle had changed , didn’t realise the formula had also changed , it was only because I noticed the smell was different.that’s not all that’s different!
The hold isn’t as good and my scalp has become itchy and flaky .
Now need to find a new hair spray !

Why on earth did they have to change the volume boost hairspray formula, it's awful, doesn't hold your hairstyle anymore & it's sticky & doesn't even smell nice, I had been using the original formula forany years, but not anymore.

Vo5 mega hold gel is lethal, burned my scalp and im covered in scabs now, thinking of sueing, this is dangerous stuff and shouldn't be for sale, going back to schwartskopf silliouette spray a much better product

WHY WHY WHY did you change the V05 Matt Paste. You have absolutely destroyed an amazing product that now does not even feel like a paste and does not last at all.

I have used this product for many years and loved it why oh why did they change the formula ,I’m fuming just bought 6 bottles on special offer (now I know why)and I have binned the lot,it is absolutely rubbish now sticky tacky smells awful definitely will not buy this again,please return to original formula,

Been using vo5 volume boost gel spray for years was the only spray that didnt iratate my scalp the new bottle is absolute crap it stinks and is weak gonna have to find another spray now will not buy again

THE NEW FORMULA V05 MEGA HOLD GEL SPRAY IS AWFUL , THE SMELL OF IT SETS MY ASTHMA OFF , NOT GOOD AT ALL , PLEASE CHANGE IT BACK

I’ve been using the VO5 mega hold spray for years but not anymore. The change of packaging has come with a change of smell and it smells awful. I was so conscious of the pong while stood in a long queue that I immediately washed my hair again when I got home. I won’t risk buying the mousse now in case that’s changed too.

The new VO5 mega hold spray is awful, the smell is disgusting (my husband asked why I was wearing cheap horrible smelling perfume) and it doesn’t hold my hair like the old one!
After decades of using it I will no longer buy VO5

The new formula is poor value for money. It no longer holds my hair in place. After many years of using this product I won't be buying it again.Its nothing like it was. Why change it? A money saving exercise I suspect

VO5 hair gel has changed. I’ve been using this since it first arrived on the shelves. The smell is terrible and will no longer hold my hair in place. Why change the product when it worked well in the first place. I won’t be using this product now. I’m sure many people will also feel as I do. Not happy at all !!

The smell is awful and the hold is not as strong .I have used this product for a long time but am now looking for an alternative.
