the standard of care offered by the staff was exceptional - from a clinical perspective i have no complaints.

thier fees however, far too high - both for consultations and treatement (compared to teh weekday practice based in teh same location and whose equipment they use).

In addition, additional fees were levied which not quoted in theT&Cs. for example a double excess payment (non-refundable from inusrer) - they also required proof that i had the insurance and checked the excess. felt like profiteering

Called Vets now about having my dog PTS as the last vet service experience I had we were not happy with , they were quick to help and sorted us a slot as it was urgent , staff and vet all seemed kind . When I asked the cost on the phone we were quoted a price I was happy to go with and afford so continued to go to the appointment , we had our dog PTS to be given a bill 4 times higher which we cannot afford I paid what we were quoted in the phone and now they are chasing us for the money .If we know it was going to be that expensive we would of used somewhere else but to late to ask them to revive the dog after PTS so absolutely fuming .. I don't recommend them for there price rip of merchants . Make sure if you use them you get the full prices my normal vet would of charged under £100 during the day , rvc emergency £230 and according to poster in said vet top emergency call out was £239

I could not fault the service; the staff were excellent. The charge for the out-of-hours service is high and would be prohibitive for some people. I was happy to pay as I needed to ensure that our dog was OK.

I do not think Ned was diagnosed correctly and is now in Davies vet specialists with pneumonia and suspected alto immune disease, I also specifically asked for my daughter who is on a holiday of a lifetime in Africa and the dogs owner not to be contacted this was not put on the clinical notes that were sent to Elizabeth Smith and monday morning a vet rang her to follow up ! My (her father) email and phone were given as the point of contact.

Charged me for items that i had not authorised, misdiagnosed my cat and discharged same day, cat passed away 2 days later.
i had to deal with the most arogant nurse, will not be back ever. advised my local vet to cease dealings with this vet.

Brilliant emergency service. Maria was fantastic, explained options, talked us through what the problem was. Thankfully nothing life threatening.

Vet service was fine, however the prices are borderline disgusting. I appreciate there has to be a mark up but £72 for a £6 eye lube is taking advantage of people at its core. Very disappointing.

So you're telling me you mark up over the counter medication 12X and charge an out of hours fee on top. Because it's a captive consumer?

After my dog Moyra showed signs of a urine infection ( bleeding from vulva) I decided it was too long to wait for normal vet hours and went to Barton vets now .the vet was extremely thorough with everything and I am very pleased with her consultation ( diagnosis ) however not so pleasing was the £300 consultation fee which I find rather excessive ! I know it’s out of hours but really??

Would not recommend at all.. Took my elderly Staffie with bloating and bad tummy, my dog was taken off me to be examined, to which I questioned why I couldn't go to the consulting room with her, was told I wasn't allowed! Got charged £500 for 2 injections and some charcoal, which i believe is given for intoxication not tummy ache.. Unfortunately she went downhill so took her to another emergency vet practice where she had to be PTS.. poor service! Have told my regular vets they should consider changing their out of hours vets..

This crowd are scammers that will happily prolong a pets suffering just to be able to make hundreds of pounds out of injections and treatments that will not help the animal that is suffering

We have been sent over to vetsnow Barton Le Clay by our cat’s vet as an emergency , we had our beloved cat admitted for one night in a poor health state and took her home the next day in a worse condition after a 1540£ bill , the following night our poor cat didn’t make it and broke our children’s and our hearts as well , I have been promised on admission that we shall be informed all the way with the treatment she will be getting, didn’t happen, I called late in the evening to request an update and been promised a call back , that didn’t happen either, unfortunately this so called animal hospital is ran by different vets working on an emergency
call out basis so every 12 hrs your pet is being seen and cared for by someone new who might not come there again or not in the near future at least, we have requested copies of all investigations carried out and copies of X-rays and blood results and still awaiting for them . Very disappointed and frustrated. Stay away.

I called late evening on Easter Sunday regarding my poorly cat, unfortunately she didn’t make it to the vets she passed away at home. But they was accommodating and made myself and my sister feel so welcome, they gave us the privacy to say goodbye to her. Could not fault the staff there, thank you very much for making a heartbreaking time a little more bearable.
We appreciate it.

Absolute money making outfit now the practice is owned by a big corporate. Took our pup in on a daytime appointment (so NOT the emergency out of hours) for an ear infection. The vet was very nice, swabbed her ear, tested it, squirted some medication into it and sent me on my way after about 10 minutes, £180 lighter. Was told to book in again in 2 weeks to check if all had cleared up in her ear. Like an absolute mug, I did. I was in with the vet for literally 2 minutes, he lifted her ear flap, looked at it and said “yup, all good” and dismissed me. I was charged another £60 for that 2 mins and when I questioned it I was told that full fee now applies to all consultations. Julia Boness used to charge a sliding scale on consultations, a full one being 20 mins. They also no longer offer a 10% discount on medications for Buster Club members, so we cancelled everything and moved to an independent vet somewhere else.
RIP off merchants, even Dic k Turpin would blush at this lots’ audacity.

Super lady vet,she explained everything thoroughly,the gentleman at the front desk was also very nice.

The vet we saw was very knowledgeable about rabbits and was very thorough with examination and treatment. She explained what was happening and what needed to happen to ensure my rabbit went home fit and well. She also showed me the breakdown of the cost and gave options as to what she could take off or not include.
