Golden Circle Tour
I took a group of 46 on the Golden Circle Tour in Iceland and Bjorn was our guide! He was so patient with my older folks and full of knowledge. We saw so much! Corey in the group department was wonderful helping us get all this together!

My Only Shore Excursion Go to!
Working with Venture Ashore has been wonderful! We had different options of tours in Norway for our 4 different stops. They made it super simple by providing a link that I could send my clients who could then sign up for what they wanted, and pay right there or put a deposit down. Triin Putsepp was a gem to work with. She answered all my questions in a timely matter and made things so simple, even getting us on the new app experience! Corey was fantastic in helping us select and arrange for customized tours for our group. Corey was very responsive during our communications, we appreciated the inclusion of these tours in our overall itinerary, and the timely updates prior to our actual tours. Plus, we were very happy with the over all quality of each and every tour guide that was assigned to us. All were superior experiences with great guides, and good boats for our water based excursions. We would use them again for our clients and our personal travels.

Very disappointing experience
Very disappointing experience, would not use Venture Ashore again
We booked two excursions with Venture Ashore during our cruise and unfortunately came away very disappointed with both.
Our first excursion was to Rome. Andrea, our guide, was OK, but he didn’t seem particularly comfortable using the microphone, so the commentary was very hit and miss. The group was also huge, which made keeping everyone together difficult.
At the end of the tour, Andrea recommended a restaurant for lunch and around 36 of us went there. This turned out to be a terrible recommendation. We were charged €97 for a meal that should have cost €58. We argued against it and they gave us back €25 cash. We initially thought this might have been a mistake, but at least four other families from our group had exactly the same experience. It felt like a complete rip-off and left a very sour taste at the end of the day.
We then booked the Florence and Pisa excursion, which was even more disappointing. The itinerary included a "walk with a local", which we assumed would involve someone with some knowledge of Florence. In reality, it was simply being led around by someone who announced where we were. The person wasn't actually local and wouldn't answer questions about the buildings, history or location because they weren't a tour guide who apparently get paid €100 an hour! She spent rhe entire time. Hatting on her phone. Calling this part of the excursion a tour is very misleading. It added very little and felt like a complete waste of time.
The worst part, though, was the timekeeping. We were supposed to be back at our ship, P&O Azura, at 5pm. We didn't arrive back until around 6.10pm, despite the final boarding time being 6pm. This made the journey back incredibly stressful for everyone. The poor time management also meant we couldn't properly relax and enjoy our time in Pisa because everyone was worrying about getting back to the ship.
After two disappointing experiences, I wouldn't book with Venture Ashore again. In future, I'd pay the extra and book excursions directly through P&O. They may cost more, but you're collected from and returned directly to the ship, rather than having the additional hassle of getting buses to meeting points, finding the group and standing around queuing in the sun.
Overall, both trips felt poorly organised and not good value for money. The late return to the ship was particularly unacceptable and stressful. Very disappointing.

Corey Bell was so helpful and responsive. She helped us set up private tours that met the needs of our group of 10. All tours were outstanding. Beautiful and relaxing day cruising the Amalfi coast
Olivia was wonderful to work with for our excursion. We had a large group and she was able to coordinate 2 boats for the day to cruise along the Amalfi Coast. Communication was excellent and everything was perfect. She booked us a delicious lunch at a very quaint beach restaurant. Our 2 skippers were excellent and our day could not have been more relaxing and beautiful! We all said it was the highlight of our trip.

If you make human mistakes
If you make human mistakes, this might not be the company to use. Between my travel agent and myself, we double booked an excursion and didn’t catch the mistake until they picked us up for the excursion. The excursion itself was wonderful, but it was not worth double the price. When I attempted to contact venture ashore, they were not pleasant understanding or helpful. We will not use them again and I will not recommend them to friends and family. i’m sure I will get some AI generated Sorry about your bad luck response.

When you contacted us, our team looked into every aspect of your booking and did everything we could to see if there was a solution. We found that the duplicate reservation had been made under two different names and made on two different booking dates, one in March and one in May. Because of this, there was no way for us to identify it as a duplicate before the day of the tour.
Unfortunately, by the time the duplicate booking came to light, the seats had already been held for your reservation and it was too late for us to resell them, so we weren't able to offer a refund.
We completely understand that this was disappointing, and while we couldn't change the outcome in this instance, we did carefully investigate every point raised in an effort to help. We're pleased that you had a wonderful time on the tour and wish you all the best with your future travels. The Venture Ashore Team

Excellent service. Easy to locate the guide at the port entrance and then a very interesting and enjoyable full day excursion to both Florence and Pisa including a mix of guided tours and plenty of free time. he was knowledgeable, friendly and made the tour absolutely GREAT
In Hoonah we toured with Cora Roberts who is a 3rd generation native, not only did we see brown bears, birds, a martin & an ermine but she was so very knowledgeable about all the trees and plants and habitat she made our tour WONDERFUL!
in Juneau we did the glacier with Lori Lee, she was fun, knowledgeable & friendly then we boarded the boat for whale watching with Russell, Mia & Panner, they were super helpful, we saw whales & sea lions and even saw a whale breach - it was amazing they made our tour delightful!
