USA SPEC Warranty is a Hoax
During February 2024, I initiated contact with USA SPEC to open a warranty claim for the BT45-TOY Bluetooth® module I purchased nine months earlier. This device, as for all USA SPEC products, is advertised as warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year to the original owner. Only recently has the device begun to show signs of intermittent Bluetooth connectivity problems that seem to be increasing in frequency. To me, this is clearly a sign of a defect.
To obtain warranty service with USA SPEC Inc., you must contact the Customer Service center for assistance. The phone number they provide connects directly to an outgoing prerecorded message requesting callback information and your reason for calling. After a multitude of attempts, with only one resulting in successful human contact and absolutely no return phone calls, it becomes clear that their motive is to avoid legitimate warranty claims. USA SPEC Inc. also offers an online form via their “Contact Us” web page. It is here where the customer can input pertinent information regarding their warranty claim; and I did so repeatedly. One major issue with using this form is it provides no feedback to the customer except that the request was submitted; there is absolutely no evidence or proof that a request for warranty service exists. It should be no big surprise to the readers here that I received no response from USA SPEC.
